Topic: LIGHT UP THROUGH THE WORD
Text: 2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said,
“Let brilliant light shine out of darkness,” is the one who has cascaded his light into us—the brilliant dawning light of the glorious knowledge of God as we gaze into the face of Jesus Christ.
INTRODUCTION
God never intended for believers to live hidden, empty, or powerless lives. The same God who spoke light into existence at creation now shines His light into our hearts through Jesus Christ. His desire is that this light will radiate through our lives for the world to see.
Every believer is a carrier of God’s light. Whether we realize it or not, our lives are constantly preaching a message. Many people may never open a Bible, but they will observe our character, conduct, attitude, speech, and lifestyle. We represent God daily before men.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIGHT UP?
To LIGHT UP means:
* To reflect the nature and character of God.
* To reveal Jesus through our lifestyle.
* To influence our world positively.
HOW DO PEOPLE SEE GOD THROUGH US?

HOW DO WE LIGHT UP!
THE WORD OF GOD IS THE SOURCE OF OUR LIGHT
We cannot shine consistently without God’s Word.
Psalm 119:130
“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”
The Word:
* Cleanses our hearts
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10
* Renews our minds
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” — Romans 12:2
NOTE:
YOUR LIFE IS A LIVING SERMON
This part is very serious but simple.
People are not only listening to your words. They are interpreting your life.
