It was an amazing experience as the Evangelism Department took us out on a tour to sit, relax and rejuvenate over assorted physical and spiritual (the WORD) delicacies after our anniversary.

Topic: Prayer: A Tool for Dominion
Texts: Genesis 1:26; Luke 18:1

INTRODUCTION

God created man with an original mandate—DOMINION (Genesis 1:26). But the believer sustains and enforces this dominion through PRAYER. Jesus also emphasized that “men ought always to pray and not faint” (Luke 18:1).
Therefore, PUSH — Pray Until Something Happens.

Prayer is not a ritual. It is the believer’s channel of accessing, expressing, and enforcing divine authority on earth.

WHY PRAYER IS A TOOL FOR DOMINION

1. Prayer Connects You to God’s Authority (Luke 10:19)

Dominion does not come from human strength—it comes from God.
Prayer aligns you with Heaven’s authority and makes you a carrier of spiritual power.
If you’re not praying, you’re already under attack, because prayerlessness disconnects you from spiritual power.

2. Prayer Activates Heavenly Realities on Earth

“Thy will be done on earth…” — Matthew 6
Through prayer, you birth what God has already prepared in Heaven.
Job 22:28 shows that prayer gives you Heaven’s backing to decree and see it established.

3. Prayer Disarms and Overthrows the Enemy (2 Corinthians 10:4–5)

The weapons of our warfare are not physical.
Prayer dismantles strongholds, cancels satanic strategies, and establishes divine order.

4. Prayer Moves Angelic Assistance (Daniel 10:12–13)

Angels respond when believers pray.
Never mock a praying man or a praying church—Dominion is not exercised in the flesh; it is enforced in the spirit.

5. Prayer Releases Divine Power into Situations (Acts 4:31)

When the early church prayed, the place shook—power was released.
If you’re not praying, you’re denying yourself access to God’s blessings.

Dominion means: things respond when you speak, and prayer makes situations bow to God’s power.

HOW TO EXERCISE DOMINION THROUGH PRAYER

1. Know Your Authority in Christ (Ephesians 2:6)

You are seated with Christ in heavenly places—pray from a position of victory, not struggle.
