ABOUT FOURSQUARE CHURCH

The Foursquare Church exists to glorify God and advance His kingdom. Jesus Christ's command is to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19). Therefore, we are Dedicated unto the cause of Inter-denominational and Worldwide Evangelism. These words express our spirit and our focus.

Our call is to preach Jesus Christ, God's Son, as The Savior, The Baptizer, The Healer and The Coming King.

Our assignment is to develop healthy, growing churches. Our commitment is to plant national churches around the world led by loving servants of Jesus Christ. Churches developed in this manner will reproduce again and again.This makes possible the spread of the gospel to those who have not heard or accepted the message of God's Son.

Our Name The Foursquare Gospel Church: Foursquare is a Biblical term used of the tabernacle in the Book of Exodus, of the Temple of the Lord in Ezekiel 40:47, and of Heaven, as described in the book of the Revelation. The term Foursquare Gospel was given in the inspiration of revival to the denomination's founder, Aimee Semple McPherson, during an evangelistic campaign in Oakland, Calif., in 1922. It represents that which is equally balanced on all sides, established and enduring. Such confidence in the power of the Gospel is also expressed by the verse, Hebrews 13:8, displayed in Foursquare churches proclaiming, Jesus Christ the Same, Yesterday and Today and Forever.

Topic: Reviving The Hunger - Ps. 42:2; John 2:17

Ways to recover or sustain your hunger for God and the kingdom.
1. Repent from sinful lifestyle. Acts 2:38; 17:30; Rev. 2:5; 3:19.
"...shall we continue in sin that grace may abound" Rom. 6:1,2

Check around you if sin is still promoted... It's a matter of time your hunger will drop. Sin is very serious and can kill your hunger for God. Deal with it immediately. Hunger keeps us on fire for God but sin will rather reduce or destroy the fire.

And to achieve that, you need the following:
- Fire from personal encounters with Jesus
- Fire from the scriptures
- Fire from the place of prayers
- Fire from fellow godly people
- Fire from anointed men
- Fire from unwavering consecration

TOPIC: TAKE DOMINION OVER THE STORM

BIBLE READING:
MATHEW 14:25-33
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”29 “Come,” he said.Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

KEY VERSE:

MEDITATION:
Taking dominion over storms of life demands operating at a higher level of spiritual sensitivity (Mark 9:29). This is possible in two major ways: First, don't engage in problems or iniquity audit. God doesn't need any sin audit on your case file with him (Psalm 130:3). If He did, none of us can stand, and Jesus' sacrifice loses its value.

Second, choose to switch on to the spiritual mode. From today's bible reading, note that the confession of the disciples, “it's a spirit” cannot be wrong, though made under the grip of great fear. It sounds like an echo of, “... and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” in Genesis 1:2.

Jesus is certainly a Spirit. Everything around his conception, his birth, his death, his resurrection, and his ascension consistently validates this, and makes Him the Master of the sea!When you fix your gaze on Jesus, a spiritual mode that allows you to take dominion is activated. You can then walk upon the seas like Him!

Peter got it right for a while, and took dominion over the storms! Once he removed his focus from Jesus, he lost his dominion! How interesting that in addressing the storms, the Bible never focused on the problems but on the solution. Fixing your gaze on Christ alone helps you to exercise dominion over every intimidating storm around you.

Father Lord, I ask for grace to toughen my 'spaghetti spine' to withstand life storms
