- your levies in family and community are paid
- your business need it for investment
- your taxes are paid from there
- your tithes, offerings and thanksgivings are taken care of
- they show your obedience to biblical injunctions of hard work and that we should not be idle

- the parable of the talents

- makes someone to be in conflict with God

WHAT CAUSES PRIDE IN PEOPLE?
- Satanic/demonic influence
- the desires of the flesh
GIVE EXAMPLES OF PERSONS IN THE BIBLE THAT WERE INFLUENCED BY PRIDE AND RESULTS THAT FOLLOWED THEIR ACTIONS
- Lucifer and he lost his place in heaven

- some compare themselves with other workers who the church appoints to lead them

WHAT MUST THE BELIEVER DO TO OVERCOME THIS ISSUE OF PRIDE AND UNWISE ATTITUDE OF COMPARISON?
- resist the devil
- keep your mind in God
- find peace in God
- use the virtue of humility
- give no place to the devil

- pre-arranged or planned out line of sinful activity that is actualized
- sin conceived and materialized
EXPLAIN WHAT IS MEANT BY LUST
- strong sexual desire
IDENTIFY SOME RESULTS OF MANIFESTED LUST AND SIN
- strong hatred for the partner after satisfying yourself as you never actually loved the partner in the first place
- shame to the unsuspecting partner who was never watchful
- bad name to the wicked assailant
- death at the end to the wicked
SHOW AN ACCOUNT OF LUST FROM SCRIPTURES
- Ammon lusted after Tammar, Absalom's sister
- He deceived her by telling her to bring food that he may eat in her palms and r***d her
- He hated her after she lost her virginity
- Absalom arranged Ammon"s death and materialized it.

- to be watchful and abstain from appearances of sin

WHAT DETERMINES THE QUALITY OF A VESSEL?
- it's content
- what comes out of it not what goes into it
WHAT PART OF A VESSEL NEED PURGING (CLEANSING)?
- the inside not the outside
MENTION THE CHARACTERS THAT CAN KEEP THE BELIEVER AS A VESSEL TO CONTINUE IN HONOUR
- studying the scriptures to show himself approved
- purging his/herself of unrighteous acts
- fleeing lust and following righteousness
- avoiding strife(quarrel) and following all men with peace
