- pre-arranged or planned out line of sinful activity that is actualized
- sin conceived and materialized
EXPLAIN WHAT IS MEANT BY LUST
- strong sexual desire
IDENTIFY SOME RESULTS OF MANIFESTED LUST AND SIN
- strong hatred for the partner after satisfying yourself as you never actually loved the partner in the first place
- shame to the unsuspecting partner who was never watchful
- bad name to the wicked assailant
- death at the end to the wicked

- Ammon lusted after Tammar, Absalom's sister
- He deceived her by telling her to bring food that he may eat in her palms and r***d her

- vessels unto honour
- vessels unto dishonour
WHAT DETERMINES THE QUALITY OF A VESSEL?
- it's content
- what comes out of it not what goes into it
WHAT PART OF A VESSEL NEED PURGING (CLEANSING)?
- the inside not the outside
MENTION THE CHARACTERS THAT CAN KEEP THE BELIEVER AS A VESSEL TO CONTINUE IN HONOUR
- studying the scriptures to show himself approved
- purging his/herself of unrighteous acts

WHAT THEN IS THE JOY OF SALVATION?
-it is the state of mind of the believer who is not moved by present negative state of things
-it is the state of the believer who remain focused on his heavenly goal and guard his heart diligently on earth
-it is the state of the believer who is constantly saved and delivered on earth from circumstances by God
-it is the state of the believer who trust in God for the redemption of his soul after life on earth
-it is the state of the believer when his soul is saved and delivered after life on earth and his state changed in glory to spend eternity with Christ
WHAT KIND OF PERSON NEED THE JOY OF SALVATION?
-a sinner that God showeth mercy
-a repentant soul
-one that acknowledges his sins
-one that has faith in God
-one that is not double minded
-one that confessed Jesus as his Lord and personal Saviour
-one that hunger and thirst after righteousness
-one that manifests the fruits of the Spirit
-one that will not deny Jesus
-one that believes in Jesus Christ
-one that had finished his fight of faith on earth
-one that God calls into glory
-one that his death is precious in the eyes of the Lord - Ps 116:15

TOPIC: THE PATTERN OF CHRIST'S SACRIFICE
TEXT: COL:1:13-29, 2:6-23, 3:1-17; HEB. 7:18-28, 8:1-13, 9:1-28, 10:1-39
-In ancient Israel animal parts are slaughtered and dismembered, blood sprinkled on the alter and body parts burnt to symbolize resurrection through smoke that ascends
-in Jesus case, he was presented for sacrifice as a full body
-in the old testament pattern part of flesh of animals was eaten and blood drunk but in Christ's pattern we receive the flesh and blood in bread and wine
-the old sacrifices were symbolic but Jesus' was real
-animals dismembered, gathered and burnt were deemed to have resurrected to God's presence to speak atonement in God's presence but Jesus forgave sins even on earth, on the cross and continues before the father
-Jesus resurrected and appeared as a body and ascended physically but sacriced animals' resurrection is deemed by smoke that go up not physically explainable
-animal sacrifices were routinely offered but that of Jesus was once and for all for all generations
-Jesus shared his body for us in communion in order to gather us as His body (the Church) but different animals sacriced can't do this
-only Jesus who ascended is returning for His Glorious Kingdom (Church) not slain and sacrificed old testament animals
-Jesus sacrifice was real but that of animals was a shadow and type
-animals flesh and blood were physically eaten but the body and blood of Jesus was symbolically eaten yet this action opens the believers spiritual eyes
-the rituals of animal sacrifice were done in existing temples but the sacrifice of Jesus produced a body (the Church) only later indicating that man made temple is no longer in vogue but believers are now living temples
-Jesus sacrifice makes us partakers of his death through immersion into water and partakers of his resurrection by coming out of water in baptism thereby turning us into new creatures but in the animal sacrices the devotees
