*Q.5* Is there any prayer for me to remember?

King Joash rejected God, and so God rejected him and allowed him to suffer in the hands of his enemies. Today's passage re-emphasizes the fact that the consequences of wickedness are always terrible. Although our God is a God of mercy, He is also a God of Justice. Notice how the sin of King Joash affected the entire people of Judah *(vs.23,24)*. It is said that a leader's sin is a leading sin. Many African countries are suffering because of poor leadership. Some leaders in some homes and communities have been rejected by God. They are now living the way they like without recourse to God and His Word. King Joash was finally killed by his officials after his injury at the battlefield. We must not take God's mercy for granted. The King was buried just like any other person but not as a King *(v.25)*. Lead with the fear of God and with eternity in view.
