Don't you know that for English man to say this is the 1st anniversary, that thing must have spent 12 calendar months.

To say my child is one year old today, this is his first-year anniversary, he must have spent 12 months.

So before they can say first day, 24hrs must have gone. If somebody was born on a Sunday, the English man will say...
.. Monday 1st day, Tuesday 2nd day, Wednesday 3rd day, Thursday 4th day, Friday 5th day, Saturday 6th day and Sunday 7th day...
..but in Yoruba that 7th day is ojó kejo. It is still the same thing now. Why do you cause confusion?

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said:

يٰۤـاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا كُوْنُوْا قَوَّا مِيْنَ لِلّٰهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِا لْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَاٰ نُ قَوْمٍ عَلٰۤى اَ لَّا تَعْدِلُوْا ۗ اِعْدِلُوْا ۗ هُوَ اَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوٰى ۖ وَا تَّقُوا اللّٰهَ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ خَبِيْرٌ بِۢمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ

*"O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice.*

And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.

LASG DIRECTS STUDENTS TO STAY AT HOME


The Lagos State Government has directed all students in public and private schools to stay at home following the tension generated by the protests.

A statement issued by the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, emphasised that the safety of the pupils/students, parents and all staff working in schools is paramount at this critical period, advising parents to keep an eye on their wards and prevent them from being used as tools by those who might want to hijack the protests to unleash mayhem on the society.

Mrs. Adefisayo also encouraged schools to utilise other means of distance teaching and learning such as radio, television and online media similar to the practice during the closure occasioned by the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Commissioner said that a new date for resumption of all classes will be announced in due course.
