SIN IS NOT A TEACHER (2)
So it turns out that one day I was thinking about Sin. Can we conquer sin by experience?
Can we stand better only after we have fallen?
In that moment, a question came into my mind.
It said: " All the time in your past which you spent sinning what did you learn? If one learns how to stop sinning by experiencing it then why didn't you overcome sin in that way?"
Then the truth became clearer.
Falling helps you learn how to walk.
Failing can help you to pass.
Yes! When you fail, the pain and sorrow can propel you to work hard and pass or at least get better.
But when it comes to sin, you can never overcome by experience or by falling.
It doesn't work that way.
You can never understand sin or learn how to overcome sin by living in sin.
If that were the case, all adults in the world would have stopped sinning.
If that's how it works then if a man has lived for 30 years, he has 30 years of experience with sin and should have mastered it by now.
But the fact that the person has still continued to sin shows that sin can not be overcome by experiencing it.
Do not say that there is something the lord wants to teach you with a sin you are struggling with or that it is part of the experience.
The scripture says sin pays:
Yes it pays it's workers wages after they have done what it wants and that is DEATH.
For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life(Romans 6:23)

I don't think I have ever come across a part of the scriptures where it says Sin teaches but I have come across a part that says the holy spirit is our teacher and will guide us into all truth (John 16:13)
If this is true, though there are many things we learn by experience, experience is not the best teacher , the holy spirit is.

When Jesus was leaving the earth,he could have told us to become righteous through our experiences but he had something better.
Himself in a spiritual form.
He is all the experience we need.
All the techniques he used while he lived on earth are already in us installed so why learn by experience when we already have a lifetime of someone's experience in us?

You don't have to fall to stand, Jesus has fallen for you while he carried the cross to Calvary.
What about those who say "we must learn from our own mistakes?"

Definitely not!
You don't have to. Why do you think the sins of David, Saul, Solomon, the infamous children of Israel and even Peter were recorded?

It is so that you don't repeat them by God's grace.

Learn from their experience.
Peace to those who pursue righteousness.

Carnal minds always twist the word of God to suit their carnal thinking. But unless one has the Spirit life, he cannot understand the things of the Spirit. ( 1 Cor.2:9-15)
Sin comes from the heart. (Mat.15:19). The deeds are but the manifestations of the sins in the heart. Christ emphasized this in Mat.5:17-48;6 & 7)..Example: if you hate your brother, you already committed MURDER .( Mat.5:21-22) Again, if you look at a woman with lust, you already committed adultery.( Mat.5:27-28). That's why Christ FULFILLED the LAW and the PROPHETS by bringing the level of obedience to GOD'S LEVEL: " Be perfect as your heavenly FATHER IS PERFECT " Mat.5:48; 20; Mat.19:16-26) Get it? This is POSSIBLE only if you have the SPIRIT LIFE OF GOD AND LIVING BY & THROUGH IT. But human beings have only the sinful FLESH life ( Rom.7:5, 14-24). As such , the Jews and Pharisees and Sadusees only do the LETTER of the law but not the SPIRIT of the law. " What the law could not do, WEAKENED by the FLESH, GOD did by sending his Son in the likeness of sinful FLESH. . SO THAT THE RIGHTEOUS requirement of the LAW might be FULFILLED in us who walk according to the SPIRIT, not in the FLESH." Rom.8:3-4,9-17.
In short, " IF YOU ARE LED by the SPIRIT, you are NOT UNDER THE LAW "(THEREFORE DON'T PLACE YOURSELF UNDER IT HENCEFORTH)Gal.5:18-25. You have FULFILLED it by LOVE, the fruit of the SPIRIT life in you .( Gal 2:19-21; Rom.13:8-10). That's the NEW COVENANT, THE VERY WILL OF GOD THE FATHER, TO LIVE THE LIFE OF THE SPIRIT, no longer of the LETTER(LAW).( 2 Cor.3:5-18).
