Theme: Encountering God Through Seeking The Lord.

When you are a habitual seeker of God, it creates an atmosphere where you can have more encounters with God.

Matt 5:6...Seeking God is a process where you begin to hunger for an intimate fellowship with God.

When a person seeks God constantly, there's absolute evidence which is spiritual hunger and that hunger will attract divine visitation.

: Religion cannot sustain spiritual encounters.
Spiritual encounters do not also happen casually, it comes in the atmosphere of sincere hunger and persistence to seek God.
1 Chron 22:19

:

1) Seek the Lord wholeheartedly.
Deut 4:29
Matt 22:37

2) Seek the Lord early.
Isaiah 55:6

2Chron 7:12-14

5)Seek the Lord through His word.
Psalm 119:105

*If God Is for You, Who Can Be Against You?*

_What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?_ Romans 8:31

When the Almighty God is your loving Father and you are His beloved, what fears can you have? Fear of the future? Fear of sickness? Fear of death?

Beloved, when you have a revelation of how much God loves you and that He sees you completely righteous by the blood of Jesus Christ, all your fears will dissipate, for if God is for you, who or what can be against you? What sickness can come against you and successfully bring you down?

So look away from your circumstances and call out without fear to your Father. He loves you and will never condemn you! Feed on His everlasting love for you and receive your healing from Him!

Text: Exodus 3:1-6

On the strength of encounters, the manifest presence of God comes into our time space to give us specific instructions. When you study the patriarchs of old, they had encounters with the presence, nature, character and life of God.

Genesis 17:1. Abraham had an encounter with God and he saw God in another dimension "El-Shaddai"(The many breasted God) and he never lacked provision.

Samuel in 1 Samuel 7:12 encountered God as Ebenezer (the stone of help)

The aspect of God you are exposed to becomes your reality and forms your conviction about God.

Moses encountered God in a unique way that changed his life forever. Exodus 3:2
In as much as we desire encounters, we need to be careful to know the source of our encounters.
1John 4:1
Prov 14:15 (CEV)
Job 4:12-19
2 Corinth 13:14
1John 1:1-3
Job 42:7
Job 1:1. Anything that discredits the nature and character of God is not from God. Be dicerning and careful so you will not give yourself to demonic spirits like Eliphaz.
Job 4:8
Job 5:3-8
Job 22:3,21-25. The motive behind Eliphaz words was orchestrated to destroy Job.

*Be Led by the Holy Spirit*

_Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them._
Acts 16:6–7

The more areas of your life you involve the Lord in, the more you can experience His protection. You can even ask the Lord to guide you in something as seemingly natural as your travel itinerary.

In fact, read the passage above. The apostle Paul allowed the Holy Spirit to lead them at every step.

We see from those Scriptures that closed doors are not necessarily negative, and could be signs of God’s protection over our lives. The challenge for some of us is that we are so adept at planning and scheduling our busy lives that many times, we don’t make room for the Lord to intervene and to guide us to be at the right place at the right time.

Let’s not put our trust in our intelligence and planning, but in His wisdom, leading, and counsel. There is a proverb that says, “A man’s heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps” (Prov. 16:9). Even as we plan, I pray that we will always remember to commit all our ways to the Lord, and allow Him to direct our steps.

Being led by the Spirit does not have to be something complicated. When you walk close to the Lord and have a close relationship with Him, He can lead you in supernaturally natural ways.

Some years ago, I read about a couple in a particular church who were vacationing at a beach resort on Penang Island in Malaysia, when the wife felt like eating something in another location on the mainland. Because of that “prompting” in her belly, they headed off earlier than they had originally planned. While they were loading their vehicle, a man kept hurrying them and asking them to move off as they were apparently blocking the hotel driveway, and that had really irritated them at that time.

In any case, just fifteen minutes after they had crossed from the island to the mainland, they heard the news that an earthquake in the Indian Ocean had triggered a killer tsunami that crashed onto the beachfront they were at, killing more than fifty people. Had they left just a little later, they could have been among the casualties of the tragedy that day. Looking back, the couple believes that the man at the hotel might even have been an angel sent by the Lord to get them out of harm’s way quickly.

I don’t know about you, but I want the Lord to direct all my steps! Call upon Him today and He will answer you.

Ministering: Bro. Felix Edem
Theme: Positioning Yourself For A Divine Encounter.
Text: Exodus 3:1-9

Encounters are real and Moses had a real life experience of God in the desert which turned his life around. He became a great figure in the nation of Israel because of the frequent encounters he had with God. Numbers 12:6-7

Every great man in the Bible days could trace their greatness to seasons of encounter with God.
1Corinth 15:9-10
2Timothy 1:12
Romans 4:21

When we have encounters with God, it builds our confidence and trust in God.

Encounters give relevance to our work with God and divine encounters are life changing moments we should daily seek for.

Encounters bring blessings and boldness, it distinguishes you and sets you apart. The biblical examples are; Daniel Joseph, Esther.

Encounters are born in the place of fellowshipping with God in spirit and the word. with this, everything we call an advantage can become a mirage unless there's an Encounter.

Encounter empowers you to counter the plans of the enemy against your life.

God in His sovereignty determines the time of your encounters. Acts 10:1-6
Luke 1:5-13

Divine encounters bring mercy and we can see that in the life of blind bartimaeus., it brings change of name an identity that is total transformation of your life and destiny. Genesis 32:24-26.

Divine encounters sets us on a part of destiny, this is what happened to Moses in the desert and Paul in Acts 9. This means encounters are activators of destiny, you receive clarity to fulfil purpose.

Encounters put an end to years of delay in your life. John 5:1-9. And it also has the ability to put an end to every sickness and ailment. Matthew 9:20-22

:
1) You must be devoted to God and fear him.
Acts 10:1-2, Luke 1:6-7

2)Be humble. Humility is a strong force in the life of a believer and a key to our work with God. Humility positions us for a touch from God. James 4:10(AMP).

3) Be a worker in the house of God and not a spectator.
Hebrews 10:25
Luke 1:8
Exodus 1

4) Be faithful in what God has called you to do.
Numbers 12:7
1Corinth 4:2
Luke 16:10-12

5) maintain fellowship with God in prayer, fasting and singing praises to Him.
Acts 10
Acts 16:25-26(NIV, CEV,)

Divine encounters give us relevance. It takes us from the backside of life to a place of greatness and honor.

2 Samuel 9;1-7. Mephibosheth experienced kindness, restoration and provision.

Mordecai is another man who experienced greatness, honour, transformation because of his encounters with God. Esther 6:1-10

*Faith Is Not a Struggle*

_So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ._
Romans 10:17 NASB

Have you ever felt like you needed more faith? Have you ever looked at yourself and told yourself that if you just had more faith, you would see your financial breakthrough or healing?

My friend, I have good news for you today: faith is not a struggle. The Scriptures show us that the hearing of faith and the works of the law are total opposites (Gal. 3:2, 5). And since the works of the law are about our self-efforts, there is no self-effort in faith.

For years, my own ministry was a ministry that disqualified people. I would tell my congregation, “There’s nothing wrong with God, nothing wrong with His Word, so there must be something wrong with you!”

But one day, I heard the Lord speaking to me on the inside. He said, “Stop disqualifying My people! My blood has already qualified them. Stop disqualifying them!”

Now, I know that faith is the opposite of the law, and that the more people become self-conscious, and the more they look at their self-efforts to receive from the Lord, the more faith is depleted from them. So when the Lord opened my eyes to grace, I changed what I was preaching entirely and began to declare, “There’s nothing wrong with God, nothing wrong with His Word, and guess what? Through the blood of Jesus, there’s nothing wrong with you! Receive your miracle!”

Hallelujah! Once I stopped pointing the people to what was wrong with them and pointed instead to what was right with them because of Jesus, faith was imparted, and we began to experience an explosion of healing miracles like never before. Cancers were healed, tumors were supernaturally removed, and lives were transformed.

That is what happens when believers know that they have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus. They begin to understand that they have the blood-bought right to be healed, to experience financial breakthroughs, and to enjoy restoration in their marriages!

When people begin to see more of Jesus, when they begin to become more and more conscious of Jesus having been crucified on their behalf, faith no longer is a barrier to receiving God’s promises. Why? Because the more they see what Jesus has done for them, the more they see what Jesus has qualified them for, the more faith springs up within them and miracles break forth. Hallelujah!

Beloved, you don’t have to wish that you had more faith for whatever miracle you are asking God for right now. You don’t have to try to conjure up more faith.

Simply see Jesus on the cross for you, and the faith you need to face any situation or challenge will come into your life. Just look to Jesus and His grace toward you! He is the author and finisher of faith (Heb. 12:2). Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ.

The more of Jesus and His love you hear, the more faith rises in your heart. Get hold of teachings that preach all about Jesus and His finished work. Make it your priority to listen to the good news preached.

There is power in the gospel of Jesus Christ! Reach out and receive your miracle from your loving Savior today!

We've learnt so much on the series "Divine Encounters" and today we will take another step further.

Divine Encounter makes your Christianity difficult to put aside because it is something personal and no one can take it away from you.

1John 1:1-3
John 17:3. Eternal life is a life that has meaning beyond time so you may experience God.
And longevity in time is useless because what gives value to life is not how long you live or your possession but the quality of the experience of God you are exposed to.

As far as eternity is concerned, if you do not experience God then you never lived, you are just existing.

Every time in God's presence is supposed to be a time where you are introduced into a dimension of God you never know (to unravel), it is meant to be a time of experience and encounters.
Philippians 3:10

Lack of encounters and experience makes people doubt the existence of God and the Bible says "Only a fool says there is no God". psalm 14:1
Hebrew 11:6
1Corinth 12:1(P.T)
Genesis 5:24(AMP)

a believer what is your experience of God? you must know God for yourself if not you will be swept off your path.
Romans 8:35-38
2Timothy 1:12
Job 42:5

When you have an encounter with God:
1) There will be a conviction that is furnished in the basis of revelation.

2) You will be transformed.
2Corinth 3:18
Every man that is Christ like today has met a dimension of God that transformed him..
1John 4:17

3) It inspires zeal in your heart and impacts zeal for service.

If you want your life to have value and matter you will have to experience God for youself. Let's look at the life of Jacob. Genesis 32:24-26 Jacob was a deceiver and a manipulator but when he encountered God, his life changed, he became a channel for which the inheritance of God was expressed.

*What You Believe Matters*

_“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.”_
Matthew 12:35

Over the last two decades, I’ve had the privilege of ministering to precious people from all walks of life. I’ve had the honor of meeting people both in our church and at other places and hearing their stories..

Stories of liberation from years of anxiety and depression. Stories of being rescued from the prison of fear. Stories of breaking loose from destructive habits and addictions.

Yet, for every person who found their breakthrough, I also know of many who are still struggling today. They are bound by severe insecurities, trapped by all kinds of disorders, and gripped by constant fear. They’ve tried every solution they can think of, but are still desperately clawing to be freed from their emotional and physical prisons.

How did those who experienced victory break free? Why are others still trapped?

The answer is simple but powerful: their beliefs. What you believe is critical.

You see, if you believe wrong, you will struggle with wrong thoughts. Wrong thoughts will produce unhealthy emotions that will lead to toxic feelings of guilt, shame, condemnation, and fear. And those wrong feelings will ultimately produce wrong behaviors, actions, and painful addictions.

Wrong believing starts you on a path of defeat. It is what keeps you trapped and drives you deeper and deeper into paralyzing captivity.

Right believing, on the other hand, is the door out of this vicious cycle of defeat. When you believe right, you will live right. Right believing always produces right living.

Today, begin to believe right by choosing to know and believe in the powerful truths of God’s Word and in His love for you. In the days to come, set your heart to discover and meditate on the Savior you have in Christ and what He has already accomplished for you.

Choose to renew your mind with God’s truths about who you really are in Christ and how precious you are to Him. I pray that as you begin to encounter the person of Jesus, you will begin to experience your breakthrough and lasting victory!
