DISTRICT GOSPEL REVIVAL - DAY 2 SUMMARY REPORT

The second day of the District Gospel Revival Service was marked by a powerful atmosphere of faith, worship, and spiritual awakening as the congregation gathered once again to seek God’s presence and experience His transforming power. The highlight of the service was the sermon delivered by Elder Idongesit Akpan on the topic, “Liberty Through the Power in the Name of Jesus.”

In his message, the preacher emphasized the unmatched authority and power contained in the name of Jesus Christ. He explained that the name of Jesus is not an ordinary name, but one given by God above every other name, possessing the power to save, deliver, heal, and break every chain of bo***ge. He reminded the congregation that true liberty can only be found in Christ, and that believers have been given access to this liberty through faith in His name.

Elder Idongesit Akpan further taught that many people remain bound by fear, sin, oppression, affliction, and spiritual limitations because they have not fully understood or exercised the authority available in the name of Jesus. He stressed that throughout the Scriptures, miracles, healings, deliverance, and victories were accomplished through the invocation of the name of Jesus Christ. Believers were therefore encouraged to confidently call upon the name of Jesus in times of difficulty, knowing that there is power in that name to bring freedom and restoration.

The sermon also highlighted the importance of faith, obedience, and spiritual consistency in experiencing lasting liberty. The preacher urged the congregation not to merely mention the name of Jesus casually, but to live lives that reflect genuine faith and relationship with Him. According to the message, liberty through Christ goes beyond physical freedom and extends to spiritual victory, peace of mind, emotional healing, and freedom from the dominion of sin.

As the message progressed, the atmosphere in the congregation became charged with expectation and renewed hope. Many worshippers were inspired to trust more deeply in the saving and delivering power of Jesus Christ. The sermon concluded with prayers for deliverance, breakthrough, healing, and spiritual empowerment, as the congregation collectively declared their faith in the authority of the name of Jesus.

Overall, the Day 2 sermon was impactful and spiritually uplifting. The message strengthened the faith of believers and reminded them that no bo***ge is too strong to be broken through the power in the name of Jesus Christ. The congregation left the service renewed in confidence, encouraged to walk in the liberty and victory made available through Christ.

DAY 1 SUMMARY REPORT – DISTRICT GOSPEL REVIVAL SERVICE

The first day of the District Gospel Revival Service was a deeply enriching and spiritually charged gathering marked by order, unity, and a strong sense of divine presence. The service, moderated by the District Pastor and interpreted by Deacon Christopher Moses Etukudo, flowed smoothly through its various segments, each contributing to the overall atmosphere of worship and revival.

The program began with a vibrant session of choruses led by Bro. Abraham Abraham, which immediately set a joyful and engaging tone for the service. This was followed by a solemn hymn ministration led by Elder Ekoro I. Ekoro, drawing the congregation into a more reflective and reverent state of worship. Scripture was then read by Elder Peter Stephen Michael from the book of Obadiah 1:14–19, a passage that highlighted divine justice, restoration, and the assurance of God’s judgment in favour of His people.

Worship continued with a powerful song ministration by the District Mass Choir, which further deepened the spiritual atmosphere. Elder Etop G. Udoekpo then led the congregation in a worship session that was marked by deep reverence and heartfelt surrender to God. This was followed by apostolic greetings delivered through the Assistant Pastor, who encouraged the congregation and formally welcomed all attendees to the revival service.

The Youth and Sunday School Choir also ministered in songs, bringing vibrancy and youthful energy into the service while maintaining a strong spiritual tone. Shortly after, the District Pastor delivered the opening remarks, officially setting the spiritual direction of the revival and encouraging the congregation to remain expectant throughout the program.

The highlight of the day was the sermon delivered by Elder Ekpoita Ephraim, themed “We Must Possess Our Possession,” based on Obadiah 1:7. The message emphasized the believer’s responsibility to actively take hold of their God-given inheritance, stressing that divine blessings require awareness, faith, and deliberate action. The sermon challenged the congregation to rise above spiritual negligence and to pursue their divine allocations with determination.

Following the message, Elder Israel Akpan led a powerful prayer session focused on breakthrough, restoration, and the manifestation of God’s promises in the lives of the people. The District Pastor later gave announcements concerning ongoing revival activities and other church programs, ensuring proper coordination and communication within the fellowship. The service was then brought to a close with a benediction pronounced by Elder B. E. Duke, sealing the day’s blessings upon the congregation.

Overall, the first day of the District Gospel Revival Service was impactful and spiritually uplifting. The seamless flow of worship, word, and prayer created a strong foundation for the remaining days of the revival, leaving the congregation strengthened, encouraged, and stirred to pursue and possess their spiritual inheritance in Christ.

DISTRICT GOSPEL REVIVAL - DAY 1
SERMON REPORT
Speaker: Elder Ekpo-ita Ephraim
Bible Passage: Obadiah 1:7
Sub-theme: We Must Possess Our Possession

Introduction
The sermon delivered by Elder Ekpo-ita Ephraim focused on the importance of believers actively taking hold of what God has already destined for them. Using Obadiah 1:7 as the foundation, the message emphasized that divine promises require responsibility, awareness, and spiritual action from believers.

Summary of the Sermon
The preacher explained that many believers live below their spiritual inheritance due to ignorance, negligence, or lack of action. Drawing from the text in Obadiah, he highlighted how allies or supposed friends can sometimes mislead or betray individuals, preventing them from fully entering their God-given blessings.

He stressed that “possessing our possession” means not only knowing what belongs to us in Christ but also taking deliberate steps to claim and sustain it.

Key Points Raised
1. God Has Given Us an Inheritance
- Every believer has spiritual and physical blessings already prepared by God.
- These blessings do not automatically manifest without effort and faith.
2. Awareness is Essential
- Many people lose their possessions because they are unaware of their rights in God.
- Spiritual ignorance leads to missed opportunities.
3. Resistance Must Be Overcome
- The enemy often tries to block believers from accessing their blessings.
- Spiritual alertness and prayer are necessary to overcome opposition.

Action is Required
- Faith must be backed by action.
- Believers must step out, claim, and enforce what belongs to them.

Lessons Learned
1. God’s promises are real, but they must be actively pursued.
2. Believers must be spiritually vigilant to avoid loss of their inheritance.
3. Delay or passivity can lead to missed divine opportunities.
4. Victory in life requires both faith and action.
Conclusion

Elder Ekpo-ita Ephraim concluded by encouraging the congregation to rise in faith and determination. He reminded them that God has already provided their possessions, but it is their responsibility to take hold of them and not allow circumstances or opposition to deny them their inheritance.
