Advantages of Serving the Lord

Ministered by Pastor Austin Mboso

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over... Luke 6:38

When we talk about serving God, many people look at it as a burden or something we do just for the church. But there are divine advantages when you give yourself over to kingdom service!

Whatever you do as unto the Lord always returns to you. Consider the story of the young man who built a substandard house with his father-in-law's money, only to be handed the keys to that exact house at the end. When you cut corners in service, you only shortchange yourself. But when you serve God with excellence, whether sweeping, cleaning toilets, or interceding, it all comes back as a blessing to your own life.

God also shows up at your exact post of assignment. You don't need to envy another person's placement or race. A village pastor praying faithfully in a small hut is just as successful in God's eyes as anyone else fulfilling their call. When you stay where God assigned you and serve faithfully, that is precisely where His presence and power show up in your life.

Furthermore, serving preserves your time and legacy. In God’s calendar, our time on earth is short, and focusing on the mundane eats into your divine assignment. When you plug into kingdom service, your energy, resources, and time are invested into things of eternal value rather than wasted on distraction.

Finally, active ministry keys you into God’s move. Just like the prisoners in Acts 16 stayed put when Paul and Silas prayed and sang, being in the atmosphere of true service grounds you and keeps you anchored. When ministry is happening, release yourself into it, there is safety, direction, and healing in His presence.

Stop looking at the person sitting next to you. Run the race set before you, key into service, and watch God reward your faithfulness!

This month, Grace Speaks.

As we step into a new month, let’s gather in God’s presence to receive His Word, experience His grace, and be transformed by His truth.

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us…” Titus 2:11–12 (KJV)

Start your August where grace speaks the loudest, in God’s presence.

See you this Sunday at The SpringHouse Church.

SERVE THE LORD WHERE HE HAS PLACED YOU

Today, Pastor Austin Mboso reminded us of the importance of being planted, committed, and useful in the local assembly where God has placed us.
God has not called us to wander from place to place, constantly searching for the next prophecy or the next platform. He has placed us somewhere for a purpose. In that place, our lives, gifts, strength, and worship are meant to bring glory to Him and bless others.

To serve the Lord is to willingly dedicate your life, your gifts, your strength, and your worship to His will with joy and devotion.

The question is not just, "Am I in church?" but "Am I serving?"

God is not looking for spectators. He is looking for people who will put their hands to the plough and serve faithfully, consistently, and wholeheartedly.

Find where God has planted you. Serve with what He has given you. Stay faithful to the end.

Today’s service brought a powerful double blessing that completely changed our outlook for the week ahead.

First, we were powerfully reminded by Pastor Great Solomon that our true identity isn’t our outward appearance, but the God-factor resting on the inside of us. When we operate from the spirit realm, we don’t fight for victory, we look at our circumstances and enforce the victory already won!

It is from this exact standpoint that Pastor Victor Edet dropped the final piece of the puzzle for us, My case is different. This isn't just a phrase; it is the truth of how we live when we walk in the Spirit. When you know who you are in God, you don't go through what the world goes through, and you don't fail where the world fails. You are living on a higher level where you are set up to win in your family, your job, and your everyday life. NewWeek

I take my place at the table. I focus on the table.

We had an unforgettable time in God's presence during our Mid-Year Thanksgiving Service! Pastor Austin Mboso reminded us that our joy is part of our salvation package, it doesn't depend on our circumstances, it depends on our God.

No matter what the first half of the year looked like, we are praising God ahead of time for the victories already waiting for us in the months to come.

Grief is real. The pain of loss can feel like an endless loop, fixating our eyes on the empty chair. But as Pastor Tony Raphael reminds us in his latest ministering, we don’t have to let that shadow drown us.

Gratitude isn’t about ignoring the wound, it’s treating the wound with the medicine of thanksgiving.

In this powerful sermon, Pastor Tony unpacks how Psalm 23 gives us a spiritual warfare strategy, revealing gratitude not as a motivational gimmick, but as our ultimate weapon against grief. When we forcibly shift our gaze from what was taken to the ultimate Giver, we silence the enemy and pave a bridge to hope.

No matter how dark the valley is, remember, the Good Shepherd is still leading you through to a prepared table.

Today, we were reminded of the heart of God as a Father and His desire to restore the hearts of fathers and children, just as declared in Malachi 4:6.

Through the teaching of Pastor Ose Imiemohon, The senior Pastor of The Brook Church Calabar, we learned the responsibility of fathers from Scripture , that fathers are called to lead, bless, guide, protect, and nurture according to God’s pattern.

Success is impracticable without the blessing. The church is not just a gathering; it is a spiritual home where broken places are restored and where biological deficiency is can be corrected through the love and fatherhood of God.

We are vessels of God’s mercy, ordained for glory and not for shame. In God’s house, we find identity, restoration, and purpose.
