"A WOLF IN A SHEEP CLOTHING "
MATTHEW. 7:15
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
Yes. Jesus Himself warned that there can be false prophets who look like sheep outwardly but are inwardly wolves.
So, when we say “some pastors are wolves in sheep’s clothing,” we mean that some people may occupy pastoral positions and appear spiritual, but their character, motives, and actions are contrary to the character of Christ.
. Matthew 7:16: “Ye shall know them by their fruits.”
🤔The question is not only, “Does this person preach?” but also, “What kind of life and character does this person produce?”
👉signs to watch for:
🪡1) They manipulate people through fear 😨 . They use threats , courses, or spiritual intimidation to control members.
🪡2) Their private life contradicts their preaching .
,🪡3) They use flocks instead of serving the flocks:. Their main concern become money, power, status or personal benefits .
🪡4) They reject accountability : They believe no body should question their decision s or conduct.
💢so if pastors become " Wolves in a sheep 🐑 clothing "
What would happen to the church?
🪡(î) The sheeps🐑 become wounded .
🪡(îî) Division enters the church.
🪡(iii) Members become spiritually weak.
🪡(iv) Members can leave the church or sometimes even leave the faith.
And remember these:
🪡 A sheep's clothing does not make a wolf a shepherd .
🪡A title does not make a man a pastor.
Character , faithfulness, and genuine care 🚨 for God' s people reveal the shepherd.
At last there's hope for us.🤸🤸
A church does not have to remain under unhealthy leadership forever.
Christ is the chief shepherd , not the pastor. Huuuurrrrraaaayyyy.
