THEME: Beware of dogs.
The passage is warning believers of Christ to be careful of dogs,
Dogs in this context represents people with impure motives, aggressive and shameless like stray dogs that roam the towns. They trust in outward religious rituals instead of Christ.
➡️ Col.2.8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
➡️ They are always against the success of another.
➡️ Rom.14.13 - Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
➡️ IN CONCLUSION - Beware of anyone who takes your eyes off Jesus and puts them on rules, rituals, or themselves.
It's not about being suspicious of everyone. It's about guarding the gospel and guarding your heart.
