✅ The word "Offence" simply means placing a block, trap or sin against someone. Offence can also be seen as an action, attitude, or behavior that leads someone into sin, causes anger, resentment, or becomes a stumbling block in their relationship with God.
✅ Offence can also be define as a wrong action that causes harm, trouble, or disrespect to someone or something.
✅ Though the payment of tribute (tax) was for strangers but Jesus agreed to pay in order not to cause offence.
✅ Peter obeyed the voice of his master and made payment.

The word of God admonishes us to work and get profit - Deuteronomy 28:8.

Theme - Who is in you?
Text - Luke 22:1-7

HIGHPOINTS

Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. Luke.22.1

And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people. Luke.22.2

Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve disciples. Luke.22.3

And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them. Luke.22.4

And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money. Luke.22.5

And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude. Luke.22.6

Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. Luke.22.7

FOCUS
> Irrespective of how spiritual a believer is, satan can still have access in one's life if permitted.

John.13.27 exposes that before satan gained access into Judas' heart, he had planted a seed of evil thoughts in him.

Question
> What has satan planted in our hearts to do? We must repent of it now.
This context explains that just as Jesus knew what was in Judas' heart, He also knows the intents of our hearts no matter how hard we try to hide it.

QUOTE
The spirit of satan is the driving force of our mischief and we must seek God for cleansing and deliverance.

As christians, we ought to be careful not to be used as instruments in the devil's hands.

Because:
> They that shall stay true to God all through the way, He shall redeem and fully deliver them from death and eternal doom.

> As followers of Christ, we must watch and pray at all times.

> Obedience to God's words keeps our hearts impenetrable to satan's promptings. John 12:4-6
