KEY POINTS
✅ The word "Offence" simply means placing a block, trap or sin against someone. Offence can also be seen as an action, attitude, or behavior that leads someone into sin, causes anger, resentment, or becomes a stumbling block in their relationship with God.
✅ Offence can also be define as a wrong action that causes harm, trouble, or disrespect to someone or something.
✅ Though the payment of tribute (tax) was for strangers but Jesus agreed to pay in order not to cause offence.
✅ Peter obeyed the voice of his master and made payment.
✅ Jesus has dominion and control over nature.
✅ God is able to provide for our needs.
The word of God admonishes us to work and get profit - Deuteronomy 28:8.
✅ Humility Jesus chose to pay tax to avoid unnecessary conflict and offences.
Rom.12.18* - If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
