Womanhood is Virtue! Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. It is my opinion that virtuous women are not found, they are made. Otherwise the preacher man will not be asking, who can find a virtuous woman? Every born female has virtue in her, it is vested in our DNA from when God formed us. But just as He allows us the power to choose whether or not we want be who He has created us to be, God has also given every woman the power to chose whether or not to spell virtue. While some women wonder that the Proverbs 31 woman was too perfect a woman, others just fear they may never be able to attain such level of grace, yet some think she just does not exist. All of these reasoning can only do one thing to us as women and that is, limiting us from reaching out to discover and rediscover the many potentials in us that define our womanhood as virtue. There are three character traits that concludes the Proverbs 31 woman to me. 1. Excellence: She was apt to every thing she committed her heart to do, she strikes me like the woman who will fail and rise to try it again till she gets it right. 2. She was a Lover, she loved her Lord and those in her life or how else could she have laboured for so many and never complained. 3. She had a sound mind: this woman had a good sense of judgement, she was organized knowing what time was for what purpose. Here's what I think, the many characteristics portrayed by this woman represent seasons in out lives, we may never be able to muscle all of these roles at a time but if we recognize what season we are in per time, and are able to release the exact potential needed to win that season, then we are on tract. Wife, Mother, Lover, Educationists, Instructor, Employee, Entrepreneur, Executive, Home maker, Church Leader, Community Impactor, Sister. Friend etc. One woman! Sensitivity and ability to discern our seasons is what we require to release that feminine prowess that makes us the very essence of the Home, Church, Community, Family and Workplace, otherwise we will muddle it all up and other than enjoying womanhood, we will end up stressed and burned out. We may never be able to win at all times given that imperfection is a core part of our present nature. We will mess up, we will blow it, we will fall and we will fail. When this happens Dear Sister, do not bang your head on the wall for too long, throwing your hands in the air in total surrender to your mistake, embrace Grace and rise up knowing that, the Lord's got your back always. Rahab, Bethsheba, Naomi, Mary Magdalene, they all embraced grace and we can all tell their stories. So Sister when we need to mother, we need a warm Heart, as a wife, we need submission that rises from the heart, we need loyalty to excel at work, truthfulness to be friends, affection to be sisters, commitment and integrity to excel as leaders, in fulfilling all of these roles, we need love, the strongest force ever. Remember always, charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman that fears the Lord. She shall be praised. Love.
