πŸ“ŒI am bold to say the same things that God has said concerning me. That's what takes me beyond salvation to enjoying my in-Christ realities.

πŸ“ŒGLORY! I affirm that in Christ, the Father has made my life beautiful! He has crowned me with favour, and positioned me by grace for the supernatural life! I rejoice in God’s infinite grace and boundless love, as I dwell in super-abundance in Christ Jesus! I am living triumphantly, every day, enjoying my life, and celebrating the greatness of God in me. Hallelujah! I am a child of God and a joint heir with Christ. I am conscious of my glorious heritage in Christ, which has put me permanently in a vantage position of victory. In Christ, the Father has filled my life with beauty, decorating it with His grace, love and righteousness. Surely, I am complete in Him and made forever!
πŸ“ŒGLORY! I affirm that God is the One at work in me, both to will and to do of His good pleasure. He has made me a conduit of divine blessings. I am mightily blessed by the Lord and He has made me a vent for His grace, mercies, wisdom, glory, and power, to the praise of His majesty. His light shines through me today, ever so brightly, and His power is manifest to bring succour, delight, and joy to many in my world today. Through my life and preaching, Christ is revealed and His kingdom rediscovered.

*TOPIC: SETTING YOUR SAIL IN MINISTRY 12* (Hands To The Plough)

*β€œAs far as God is concerned there is a sweet, wholesome fragrance in our lives. It is the fragrance of Christ within us, an aroma to both the saved and the unsaved all around us…we are a life-giving perfume…”* (2 Corinth 2:15-16 TLB)

As believers, we can maintain fresh Spirit every day. The word "fresh" means not stale, musty, or faded but pure, untainted, refreshing. This gives an impression of health rather than luxury. It’s amazing the wonderful effects such freshness would have on our ministry. Acts 3:19 says, *β€œβ€¦the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord"*. Just like the Lord, your presence in a place should bring refreshing; it ought to clean up and gladden the hearts of people around with the sweetness and grace of God. It ought to uplift and strengthen the weak. As you pray daily, lifting up holy hands in worship, you create an atmosphere that’s full of the presence of God. Never pollute your mind by digesting wrong materials or entertaining worldly friends who have nothing to offer but things that corrupt the human soul. In fellowship, both personal and corporate, strive to stay fresh in your spirit so that you can affect your world for Jesus. I have heard people say, "it's madness to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result". Some say, "the only constant thing in life is change". Well, philosophically that can be correct but they are potentially unscriptural quotes.
It is not so with the faith! We are to preach the same message and be steadfast about it. 2 Tim. 2:2 *"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also"*. 2 Tim. 3:14 *"But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them"*. We must never attempt to change to get results. 2 Tim. 4:2-3 *"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears"*. Whilst such quote can be applied to methods e.g. using more media, etc. and even carefully. But not the message, culture, practices and ethos. Like the early apostles, we must say and do the same things for the rest of our lives and never change but keep the faith and contend for it. 2 Tim 4:7 *"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith"*. God gives the increase and He will. 1 Corinth 3:6-7 *"I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase"*. We must endeavor to stay on course and be steadfast.
Negligence is one of the reasons why things of the spirit are sometimes lost. Because of negligence, many who embraced revelation knowledge, the moving of the Spirit, stirrings of the Holy Ghost, have lost the edge, the vitality and virility too. 1 Tim. 4:14 *"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery"*. Here, Paul’s is talking about both the gift and the ministry of it - prophecy and men who ministered. To neglect means not to pay attention anymore. Maybe your marriage, career, business, etc now demands more of your time. When this is prioritized and you no more give attention to your spiritual life, things are lost. Acts 6:4 *"But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word"*. Do not give your self to any thing which now competes with doctrine and flow of the Spirit. Also, fear of what people will say can hinder you from stepping into your next big thing in God's plan for your life and ministry. If you are going to walk/work with God,never give attention to what people are saying. Hear Paul: 2 Tim 1:6-8 *"Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God"*. Don’t for fear of opposition lose your position and conviction. Instead, simply increase the tempo. Don't be like some who chicken out because of censure. Be bold to keep affirming your supernatural relationships and stand not minding public perception.

*"Therefore, my beloved brethren,be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, Knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord"*(1 Corinth 15:58)

Boredom is a feeling of being static, weary and developing lack of interest. It happens to many if not all in most or much of our endeavors, relationships and very vitally our beliefs. Embedded in humanity is the constant craving for change in friendships, career or jobs, marriage, location. This is a trend we must exercise caution. Jesus said this much to His disciples. John 8:31 *".... If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed"*. The word "continue" here is the Greek "menΓ³", it means to stay, abide, remain. In Luke 9:62, Jesus said, *"...No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God"*. In ministry, you don’t change gear or shift attention. Paul, while exhorting the churches at Lystra, Iconium and Antioch said, *"Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God"*(Acts 14:22). They were to stay firm to their belief despite persecutions. Our faith is based on very static and unchanging facts and ethos. Rom 16:17 *"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them"*. The word "doctrine" is the Greek word "didaskalia"; it refers to teaching or explanation.
2 Thess 3:6 *"Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us"*. Tradition, ethos, practice, that is,things we do daily, yearly and ever. Yet in this,we must avoid boredom, an attempt to seek for β€œmore exciting truths, experiences", as it might tend to abandoning the faith. Hear what Peter and Paul had to say. 2 Peter 1:12 *"Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth"*. Phil. 3:1 *"Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you,to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe"*. In christian faith it is safe to keep doing the same things. 1 Tim 4:1 *"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils"*. Some are eagerly seeking for β€œnew truth",lost manuscripts, new revelations. They are fishing in troubled terrain. 2 Tim. 2:17-18 *"And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some"*.
Boredom is one of the reasons things of the spirit and such like are sometimes lost. Boredom has set in when we get weary with or at believing the same things, without seeking for others. Some feel bored with the same church and pastor and teaching(2 Tim 4:3-4). After the initial excitement stage then appears boredom - getting to hear same things from same person in same place. Some will say, "Can’t we at least see and hear something different?" Boredom as a logical reason looks appealing, yet evil lurks in the shadows. Yet, we can use boredom positively. After the excitement season is over, it's time to know the Lord beyond fancies. To be committed to our calling beyond immediate gratification. We are to be fully committed to our local assemblies and ministry in a very β€œboring" yet loyal and unwavering stance. This is where we find real growth, true commitments, loyalty and insight into His word. Hear Paul's further admonition to Timothy in the midst of boredom. 2 Tim 3:14 *"But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them"*. Continue ...,in what exactly? 2 Tim 3:10 *"But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience"*. Doctrine, which is teaching, manner of life, ways Paul does things, purpose, motives and reasons for ministry and what he does; faith,Christian living and persuasion, Long suffering, his endurance in trouble,Love, patience, waiting character. This is beyond just teaching similar subjects, even the mode, reason and method of things and doing them is to be followed. This might be boring or stereotypical - in the flesh. Yet in ministry, this is it. So get bored to grow.

*TOPIC: SETTING YOUR SAIL IN MINISTRY 6* (Hands To The Plough)

*"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"*( 2 Timothy 3:16)

The word doctrine in the above text is the Greek "didaskalia"; it refers to teaching or explanation. Doctrine is key in the ministry of Christ, it touches all aspects of our worship and practices, like our songs. Music as an age long event in scriptures was majorly used for celebration(Gen 31:27; Neh.12: 27;Psalm 150:1-6;Mark 6:21-22; Matt 11:16-17). About christian songs, no matter the accompanying sound, rap, reggae or jazz, what's relevant are it's lyrics. Acts 2:30-31 *"Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption"*. David's Psalms, just like the above text were prophetic intimations concerning the person of Christ - His death, burial and resurrection. They were not emotional outbursts or feelings but to teach and explain Christ. In christian ministry, songs are not about us even though it's for us. It's lyrics must be about Christ Jesus - concerning Christ. (John 5:39). Thus,we can comfortably say that church singing/songs are to teach us Christ. Acts 13:33-34 *"God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second Psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David"*. Specifically about His death, burial, resurrection and Ascension.
The Epistles are both silent and indifferent on music, sound, instrument in offering praise. And it's not difficult to understand since we are not men of the senses like the earlier generation, David inclusive. Hence, the difference in it's emphasis. Heb 13:15 *"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name"*. "Fruit of our lips" - WORDS! What manner of words? Acknowledging His name; not any kind of lyrics but Christ centered lyrics which is about His redemptive work and office(1 Peter 2:5). Don't forget we are priests qualified by the blood. Paul was more succinct while speaking in 1 Corinth 14:15-17, *"What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified"*. He teaches us to sing in tongues and interpretation. This was beyond David. In verse 17, he teaches to edify, which is to build up. If it's not about Christ, it can't build up.
Therefore, songs in our local church surely can't be entertainment. Col 3: 16 *"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and qhymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord"*. "Teaching and admonishing", so songs are to teach. They are given by the Spirit to build the church concerning Christ, His finished work. That is, forgiveness of sins, righteousness through faith, salvation; healing and all His tender mercies; our fellowship with the Father; indwelling of the Spirit; the name of Jesus. This makes it distinct from songs used by all and sundry for entertainment purposes. Christ is the lyric and it's what the Spirit supplies. We teach and edify and God is glorified. Nothing is wrong in getting very good equipment for sound etc. But all that will amount to brass except we sing by the Spirit, full of the Word, in the process, the saints are edified, plus the demonstration of the gifts of the Spirit! Our praise sessions shouldn't be for excitement and entertainment but for teaching and preaching God's word as David did prophetically and Paul taught. If we de - emphasize brass (physical instruments and it's entertaining effects) and focus on gold(the Spirit and lyrics of Christ's work) we will see the glory of God more in demonstration.

*SPRINGBOARD DAILY DEVOTIONAL*
*MONDAY 10TH AUGUST, 2026*

*TOPIC: SETTING YOUR SAIL IN MINISTRY 5* (Hands To The Plough)

*"Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and then that hear thee"* (1 Timothy 4:16)

The fruit of the ministry of Christ is men, given to soul wining, discipleship and walking in power, the supernatural. Excellence in ministry isn't producing business men and politicians, not marriages. In my few days as pastor, I have realized that ministry will take it's mental/emotional toll on you. It will [at times] leave you devastated - wondering if it’s worth it. And the only way to manage it is to KEEP DOING IT FOR THE LORD! Ministry isn't TOO MUCH MOUTH. Luke 22:33 *"...Peter said to him, "Lord, I'm ready to go to prison with you and to die with you"*. Rather than take heed to what Jesus said to him, Peter was playing to the gallery here. "I will do this forever,....I am for you forever, come rain and shine". Consecration isn't a boast, but a solemn pledge, done in sombre moments. As a believer, a minister, you have Satan to deal with, and Jesus was plain to him. Luke 22: 31 *"[Then the Lord said,] "Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has demanded to have you..."*. The key is prayer. Luke 22:32 *"But I have prayed for you..."*. Not boastings! Many who should be praying over commitments and dedication to relationships, vision, local churches, pursuits, think it is done via plenty talk. They joke!
Peter even attempted fighting. Luke 22:49-52 *"The men who were with Jesus saw what was going to happen. So they asked him, "Lord, should we use our swords to fight?" One of the disciples cut off the right ear of the chief priest's servant. But Jesus said, "Stop! That's enough of this." Then he touched the servant's ear and healed him"*. This was Peter. We resort to the flesh when we have fake commitments. Earlier on he was sleeping rather than praying. Luke 22:46 *"He said to them, "Why are you sleeping?"*. The truth is much of ministry steel is made on your knees. You brace yourself and nerve yourself via a robust prayer life. Prayer gets you ready for something difficult or unpleasant in the pursuit of your ministry. When you talk too much, it's because you are doing less in the Spirit or spiritually. Ministry is war and staying on course is warfare and not making random posts of how you are given to the work and sound doctrine. Well, only time will tell. Let your fruit speak for you and to us. Fruit comes via hard work and labor. So don't spend the time meant for praying and taking instructions to be making empty boasts. Ministry is not by mouth. Thus, a ministry serving Christ must set it's sail early enough and know what it's value is. Like we saw in our earlier scenario in the Old Testament. 2 Chron. 12:10 *"Instead of which king Rehoboam made shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the chief of the guard, that kept the entrance of the king's house"*. The king here isn't particular about preservation of what was in the house as long as whatever is available is used in this case brass for gold. This happens often when we want to please men. We must not do this. Gal 1:10 *"For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ"*.
Now every Pastor should know that scriptures were written for teaching, explanation. They are not meant to be quoted. 2 Tim 3:16-17 *"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works"*. This is accurate explanation of scriptures. If you improperly interpret scriptures, you can't teach the truth. If you lift the scriptures out of context, mix the Old Testament and the new inappropriately, no matter how many are in the stands cheering you on, you are championing untruths. It shouldn't be so! Hear Paul: Gal 1:8 *"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed"*. He included himself! In the pursuit of our ministry, we must not substitute brass for gold. The arguably most used word in the pastoral letters was "teaching or doctrine". And you can't teach wrong doctrine and claim to love the church.

πŸ“I am bold to say the same things that God has said concerning me in His word. That's what takes me beyond salvation to enjoying my in-Christ realities.

πŸ“ GLORY! I affirm that in Christ, I have received grace for grace; my life is a conduit of His glory - a testimony and revelation of His grace, wisdom, perfection and righteousness. In Christ, I enjoy undeniable favour, multiplication, honour and lifting. Therefore, I live everyday as a champion that I am. I cannot fail because God cannot fail. Nothing in this world and it's systems can put me down or under. I keep achieving great things by any godly means necessary. The enemy cannot mess with my faith. By my prayers, I keep fighting for the future I see; and by my words, I keep pulling myself into my desired destination. I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might; no wiles of the devil can stand against me. This week, I enjoy full supply of the spirit, therefore I am never tired, I am never exhausted and I am never disappointed. This week, I can never have a down moment, notwithstanding what the enemy throws at me. No matter what it is, by the energy of the spirit, I go through them all.
πŸ“ GLORY! I affirm that the favour of God has placed me in a position of advantage; I am worthy of the good things of life, hence nothing is too good for me. In Christ, peace belongs to me, joy belongs to me, freedom is my inheritance. I am making progress by the spirit, and my profiting is appearing to all. I dwell in safety because my address is Christ. I am advancing in life even when it feels slow; I trust myself to handle whatever comes my way. This week, I choose thoughts that support my victory, not thoughts that tear me down. I have made it through difficult times before, and I will do it again and again. In Christ, I am becoming someone I am proud of. This week, sudden intervention are coming to me; I receive help on all sides; I am free from error. I enjoy recognition without effort and acceptance without explanation. People are compelled to help me without knowing why. This week, I walk into rooms I don’t qualify for, occupy seats I didn’t campaign for, and handle successes I didn’t labor for.
πŸ“GLORY! I declare that the God of sudden intervention is working it out. My name is mentioned for good in high places; mercy amplifies my voice, announces my presence, and preserves my relevance. I do not beg nor struggle because mercy has gone ahead of me to secure my expected outcome. This week, mountains is becoming plains, deserts are becoming fruitful fields. I have joy like a river, I go out with joy, and I am led forth with peace. Bad news are far from me and my family; I am many miles ahead of the wicked. In this new week, nothing terrifies me because I am hid in Christ, in God. No effort of the wicked, their devices and manipulations against me shall prosper. Surely, my steps won't slide; confusion and indecision are far from me; anxiety, worry, fear and instability won't happen to me. All my needs are met supernaturally; The God of sudden intervention has said it, I believe it and I have it. GLORY! I AM A WINNER ON EVERY COUNT.
