Iboko Offot Traditional Council Receives CUGF Delegation, Pledges Support for Evangelical Outreach and International Retreat

As part of activities marking the ongoing CUGF Evangelical Outreach and International Retreat, the Village Head of Iboko Offot in Uyo, Eteidung Udeme Etim Usanga, earlier today received members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star in his palace.

The visit was aimed at formally informing the traditional institution of the ongoing Christ Universal General Fellowship Evangelical Outreach and International Retreat programme and inviting the community to participate in its activities.

Speaking on behalf of BCS Akwa Ibom State Administrator, HG Archbishop Martins Inyang Ansa-Bonanza, the State Deputy Administrator, General Fellowship, Her Eminence Christiana Umanah, expressed appreciation to the people of Iboko Offot for the warm reception accorded the delegation. She also extended a special invitation to the Village Head and members of his council to attend the conference at Ibom Hall on Friday, 12th June, and the grand finale at Four Towns Bethel on Saturday, 13th June, 2026.

Responding on behalf of the council, the Council Chairman thanked the BCS delegation for deeming it necessary to visit the Iboko Offot Council. He pledged the council's full support for the programme and assured the team of their attendance at the scheduled events.

Addressing the council, PCS Innocent Omini, representing The Holy Father, conveyed our Holy Father's message of blessings on the traditional council and presented a special gift from The Holy Father to the Village Head.

In his remarks, Eteidung Udeme Etim Usanga recalled his long-standing relationship with the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, stating, "I have been coming to Brotherhood at Four Towns Bethel." He commended the visit and the spiritual impact of the BCS activities.

The visit concluded on a warm note when the Village Head personally appealed to The Holy Father to step into his residence, a request that was graciously granted.

Seven Souls Baptised into the Kingdom as the 3rd Edition of the CUGF Evangelical Outreach Kicks Off

The 3rd Edition of the CUGF Evangelical Outreach and International Leadership Retreat has commenced on a glorious and impactful note in Akwa Ibom State, as seven precious souls publicly declared their faith through baptism, marking their entry into the Kingdom of God on earth.

Prominent among the newly baptised brethren was the Founder and Lead Pastor of The Way of Salvation Ministry, Uyo, Pastor Christopher Etuk.

The opening ceremony began with a powerful morning devotion conducted by the Holy Father, through the Dean of the College of Bishops, PCS Bassey Imowo, who formally declared the event open and charged participants to remain steadfast in faith and service.

In his welcome address, the State Administrator, HG Martins Bonanza Ansa, warmly welcomed members of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) from across the world to Akwa Ibom State. He expressed confidence that the outreach would result in the salvation of many souls and further strengthen BCS Administration in the state.

Delivering his keynote address, the International Chairman of CUGF, Archbishop (Hon. Justice) Archibong Archibong, urged brethren to rise in faith, unity, and purpose. He emphasized that unity remains the greatest force for spiritual growth, community transformation, and the advancement of God's Kingdom.

Other speakers at the event included the CUGF Supervisor, PCS Innocent Omin; the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Chairman, Archbishop Andrew Uwanta; the International Organising Committee (IOC) Chairman, Archbishop Nnanna Mong who presented a comprehensive overview of the week-long programme; HE Christina Umana, the CUGF Chairman in Akwa Ibom State, the International CUGF Vice Chairman Evangelism, Archbishop Godwin Edem, whom the Father graciously used in bringing the newly baptised brethren into the fold.

Among the distinguished personalities in attendance were PCS Edet Archibong, PCS Amah Williams, PCS Francis Uko, MCS Emem Essien, HE Divine Archibong, Archbishop Randy Egwu, Bishop Patrick Ikpi, Archbishop Innocent Ating, CA Godwin Marcus, CA Peaceful Archibong, CA Emem Julius, Archbishop O.E. Umana, HE Imabong Okoh, and many other dignitaries whose presence added colour and significance to the occasion.

The successful commencement of the outreach has set the stage for a spiritually enriching week of evangelism, leadership development, fellowship, and soul-winning activities across Akwa Ibom State under the inspiring theme: "In Unity We Rise."

BCS Kickstarts Ecumenical Visitations Ahead of Its Evangelical Outreach in Uyo

As part of preparations for the forthcoming Evangelical Outreach, International Retreat, and Inter-Religious World Conference in Uyo, scheduled to hold from Monday 8th June through Saturday 13th June 2026 the Christ Universal General Fellowship (CUGF), commenced a series of ecumenical visitations to churches and religious organizations across Akwa Ibom State.

On Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Evangelical and Visitation Committees visited the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Divine Parish One, Uyo, and The Eternal Saints of Redemption Mission Incorporated, Uyo, to foster interfaith fellowship and strengthen the bonds of unity among religious communities.

Leading the delegation, His Grace Archbishop Godwin Edem conveyed the message of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, emphasizing love, unity, and the oneness of humanity beyond religious, cultural, and social differences. He noted that the visits were aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence and extending invitations to the upcoming Inter-Religious World Conference themed “The Power of Unity in Diversity: Many Voices, One Humanity.” and the Inter Religious Singing Exercise that will hold in Ibom Hall and Ibom Plaza On Friday 12th June by 11am and 5pm respectively, which they promised to attend in their numbers.

The delegation was warmly received by the leadership and members of both churches, who expressed appreciation for the gesture of fellowship and dialogue. At the CCC, the team supported the church’s forthcoming Children's Harvest with a donation,

The visits ended in an atmosphere of mutual respect, spiritual harmony, and renewed commitment to strengthening interfaith cooperation ahead of the weeklong evangelical programme in Uyo.

Other Visitations will continue throughout the week as the delegation had earlier visited the Moslem Community I the State.

CHRIST UNIVERSAL MERCY FELLOWSHIP AND CHRIST UNIVERSAL WELFARE FELLOWSHIP COMMENCE GOLDEN AND SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS

A season of gratitude, reflection, and service has begun as the Christ Universal Mercy Fellowship (CUMF) and Christ Universal Welfare Fellowship (CUWF) officially flagged off their Golden and Silver Jubilee celebrations, marking 50 and 25 years respectively of dedicated service to humanity.

Established through the boundless compassion and divine vision of our Most Holy Father, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, the two fellowships have remained shining beacons of love, mercy, and humanitarian service across fifty years.

The historic celebration commenced with a powerful morning prayers and a solemn and reflective visit to the Holy Mother Elizabeth Gallery, setting the tone for a week dedicated to honouring a legacy built on selfless service, compassion, and spiritual upliftment.

With the inspiring theme, "Gold and Silver Jubilee: Celebrating the Universal Monarch's Legacy of Love and Mercy,"

The week-long programme promises a rich blend of humanitarian, spiritual, educational, and cultural activities.

The IOC Chairman HE Tari Pujeh Highlighted the activities for the week which include the Fit for Work Initiative, featuring free medical check-ups for World Headquarters staff and food-pack distribution; visitations to healing homes, hospitals, and the 144 Redeemed Home; Prison Ministry Outreach; Open Kitchen services; and a Young Adult Conference aimed at inspiring the next generation.

Other major attractions include recognition and honouring of past Chairmen and Secretaries of both fellowships, as well as vibrant cultural and traditional displays by the Izon-Ebe, Kalabari, and Obolo Nations.

The two International Chairmen in the person of MCS Ronke Aluko and MCS Mercy Dornu expressed gratitude for the love the Father has in sustaining the fellowships over the years.

Indeed, this Jubilee celebration is a thanksgiving unto God and a reaffirmation of the timeless values of compassion, unity, and humanitarian service that continue to illuminate the world.

The week long event started today 1st of June through Sunday 7th of June 2026.
