THE RITUALS I NEVER REGRETED (PART 2)
The foundation upon which this ritual is built is the instructions from the word of God. Let's consider a few of them for guidance as we take this further.
Deuteronomy 4:9 (KJV) Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
This was part of the parting admonition of Moses both to Joshua and the entire children of Israel. One of the most practical ways to teach my children my values and beliefs is to intentionally create a time and an atmosphere for that. Which is what happens at the family Altar. I call this the FAMILY ALTAR RITUALS.
We keep on upgrading or fine tuning what happens at the family Altar. Many years ago I discovered that the children are alert when singing at this ritual Altar but once the teaching process commanded in the scripture above starts , some can simultaneously dose off too. So we adjusted by ensuring that anybody caught dosing stands to his or her feet until you are sure you can stay awake or until am convince you will not dose off again. Again uptil date, once we start to pray everyone including myself and my wife stands to pray and move around as we pray too! This is so because we discovered when we were not doing that more than half of my team might have started dreaming before we are through with the prayers.
Oh ,this is TOO LEGALISTIC YOU MAY CLAIM OR EXCLAIM! Yes I agree with you, so is every ritual procedures including incantations by idol worshipers if it must be POTENT!
Let's examine more scriptures to confirm what the scriptures advice on this type of ritual.
Deuteronomy 6:4-7 (KJV) Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
This intentional rituals continues after the FAMILY ALTAR as you revisit your values and beliefs during your day to day interaction with the children. This is how a God fearing culture is inculcated into your children and generations down the line.
Let me conclude this series by saying the mentality of "i will wait till they are old enough" is deceptive and must not be tolerated! Like I told you in part 1of this series my biological children joined family Altar RITUALS as a Fetus(From the womb)!
Isaiah 28:9 (KJV) says: Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
(NET) Who is the LORD trying to teach? To whom is he explaining a message? Those just weaned from milk! Those just taken from their mother’s breast!
Finally I encourage you to imbibe the RITUALS OF THE FAMILY ALTAR if you have not yet . If you do already constantly upgrade/Finetune to get the best out of it.
