TOPIC: GO FORWARD
TEXT: [EXODUS 14:15 KJV]
The story of how God divided the red sea is one of the greatest miracles recorded in the days of Moses the servant of God. However, there are some lessons the Holy Spirit wants us to learn today.
Firstly, when the children of Israel left Egypt, they journeyed to the point of the red sea, and as humans they complained unto Moses, then Moses cried unto the Lord. But instead of God dividing the red sea immediately, He rather gave an instruction. Let's read through the scriptures again;
"speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward"
Looking at this instruction physically it seems very risky and it really doesn't make sense. How do you tell an entire nation who have sighted a red sea from afar to keep going forward? But sometimes the Word of God does not need to make sense before you obey because He speaks above your senses.
Another lesson to learn from this scripture is that the power of God to divide red sea was not the problem but the children of Israel inability or refusal to "Go forward" would have truncated that miracle.
Beloved, there are times you would face so many obstacles and challenges in life that you feel you should give up, turn back or surrender. If the path you're treading on is the will of God concerning you, then trust Him when He tells you "Go forward". When you see people celebrating 50 years in marriage do you think their marriage was full of roses? There were times one or both felt like giving up, but since it was ordained by God they had to trust God for grace, improve in the area of their weaknesses and above all they had to "Go forward".
Not just in marriage alone, even in business or career, if the inspiration came from God, trust Him as you "Go forward". Even in ministry, if He truly called you and sent you then ask Him for the next prophetic instruction even as you're trusting Him to "Go forward".
MYSTERY 1: Sometimes in life, when you're few steps closer to your miracle that's when your ability to "Go forward" appears to be a risk.
MYSTERY 2: Going forward towards the direction of your red sea is being insensitive. Therefore, what makes it a demonstration of faith is only if you heard the voice of God.
PRAYER: O Lord my God I thank you for today and your Word, I pray you help me to obey your Word and follow your leading that my ignorance would not limit me from "Going forward" when you ask me to do so, in Jesus name Amen.
