TOPIC: REMEMBER YOUR HOUSE
TEXT: (JOSHUA 24:15b)

"But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (KJV)

Our emphasis today would be on Joshua' statement;
"Me and my House".
It's a good thing to serve the Lord and walk in His ways, build intimacy with Him, and have a personal relationship with Him. But how about your house? Joshua said;
"we will serve the Lord".
Are you a kind of father or mother that's not interested on who your children serves? Are you a wife that's not interested on who your husband serves? Are you a kind of pastor that's just seeing ministry as a business that you're not interested on who the congregation are serving?

However, don't think that your house only refers to your family, besides even Joshua that made this statement, he was not only asking his family but the entire children of Israel. That brings us to the next scripture;
"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." (GALATIANS 6:10 KJV)

Joshua said as; "as for me and my house".
But in our time we have a greater house known as "The Household of Faith".
What's your contribution so far in regards to increasing this household? Or are we satisfied with the current number of people that are serving the Lord? When last did you have that dissatisfaction that you can also contribute your effort towards populating the household of faith? This hunger would only come to your spirit when you're ready to the take the bold step as written in this scripture;
"But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry." (II TIMOTHY 4:5 KJV)

Therefore, as Believers you don't need a special ordination service as an Evangelist before you do evangelism, we're to do the work of an evangelist. Therefore, don't wait for the ordination, do the work.
As Believers one of our core mandate is to preach the Gospel of Christ unto all the nations of the earth. Turning their hearts to serve the only true God who sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ to die in order to save the world, that they all can also be part and members in The Household of Faith.

MYSTERY 1: When a Believer is not Self-Centered in his Faith, his Goal would be working towards populating the Household of Faith.
MYSTERY 2: Ignoring your Household in regards to them serving God is not you trying to fulfill the scripture that says "salvation is personal". Rather its a negligence of duty in regards to doing the work of an Evangelist.

PRAYER: O Lord my God I thank you for today and your Word, I pray that you help me do the work of an evangelist effectively that I would be able to populate the household of faith, in Jesus name Amen.

TEXT -PROVERB 18:1

Isolation is the state where one separates his/ her from others it's a position where one cuts off, disconnect from others and remain lonely.

God does not love isolation, He hates it when His children are lonely that is why He said in the book of Isaiah 40:1 "fear not, neither be dismayed for I am with you" the feeling of loneliness is a bad feeling that is why He assures us in the book of Psalm 23:4 " Even tho I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me" God is with you even in your darkest moment to comfort you don't let situations of life make you to isolate yourself.

The bible says two heads are better than one if one falls the other helps him. Appreciate the gift of men, appreciate the gift of your family the gift of your friends. If God wanted you to be alone in this world he would have created just you but he sees the need of being among people.

When you isolate yourself you fall into depression, you lack joy and peace, you become sad, you miss opportunities you live in hate because you feel everyone is against you, you look down on yourself all this and many more happens to you when you choose to isolate yourself.

PRAYER
Dear God thank you for today and your blessings over my life I pray that you grant me grace to embrace your presence always,may I never live a life of isolation in Jesus Christ name I pray amen.

TEXT - PROVERBS 4:23.
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.(KJV)

Emotional mastery is one's ability to take control over his/her emotions.

Emotional mastery does not mean ignoring or not noticing your emotions but it means noticing your emotions and understanding how you respond and act with it. Managing your emotions does not mean suppressing your emotion or being cold rather it's directing your actions and reactions.

When you're able to control your emotions then you will be able to control your decision you won't say things that you will regret, you won't live in anger and resentment nor will you live in isolation because of your inability to control your emotions.That's why the bible says keep your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life.

Sarah would not have suggested Haggia for his husband Abraham if she was able to control her emotions, yes she was emotionally down casted because of childlessness but the altar of prayer would have been where she expressed her feelings, you wouldn't have given that position in the company you work to another if you were able to master your emotions, you wouldn't have been in that prison if you were able to control your emotions, you wouldn't have killed that baby if you had mastered your emotions.you wouldn't have lost that marriage if you had mastered your emotions, you wouldn't have missed that contract if you had emotional mastery.

Emotional mastery cuts across all spheres of life, it doesn't mean keeping mute it means handling the issues of life with wisdom so master your emotions, put it in check and don't let it control you.

PRAYER
Thank you master Jesus for today I pray over my life lord grant me grace to master my emotions by your word that I might live peaceably with all men in Jesus name amen.

TOPIC - GOD IS COMING.
TEXT - ISAIAH 35:4.
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. (KJV)

Today's verse is an assurance of the wonder working power of God.He is saying to you with a fearful and anxious heart be strong and do not fear, this is not a plea nor a suggestion but a command from your creator. for this command to be carried out it doesn't need you to gather strength from your within because the strength is no more you have lost it all to fear, thoughts, worries and cries. The strength to carry out this command is from knowing the God that is with you, knowing that you are not alone but God is with you as The Mighty Terrible One.

The beautiful thing about this command is that it comes with a promise be strong and fear not because I your God am coming, He didn't say He is coming to cry with you, nor listen to the story of how you have suffered,been oppressed, been mocked, been overtaken etc but He is coming with vengeance not just vengeance but also to recompense evil for your sake.

Hallelujah your God is coming with vengeance He is coming to punish the evil ones, He is coming to write the wrongs, He is coming to set you free, He is coming to fight for you, He is coming to wipe your tears, oh your God is coming to restore all that was forcefully taken from you,He is coming to recompense, to payback, to reward them that have hurt you, He is coming to save you. Just hold onto Him your victory is sure, He says hold your peace because vengeance belongs to me alone, don't avenge for yourself because you might end up losing your life be calm, be strong fear not, I The Lord will come and save you.

PRAYER
Thank you Almighty God for today and your blessings over my life. Holy Spirit please envelope me with patience, strength and a courageous mind to wait on the coming of my God in Jesus name amen.

TOPIC - PRIDE IS DECEPTIVE
TEXT - OBADIAH 1:3
The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? (KJV )

When talking on the subject matter PRIDE let's be guided that it's of two phases the good and the bad part.
The positive pride talks about a deep satisfaction, self respect and value that comes from achievement.

While the negative pride which is our emphasis for today refers to the excessive importance or values placed on yourself this resonates from the idea that you are better than others.

Today's reading tells us that pride is deceptive it's a tool that leads to destruction, isolation, division, stubbornness. This means that sometimes, we can think too highly of ourselves and forget about God. It's important to stay humble and remember that God is the one in control, not us.

PRAYER
Dear God thank you for today and your word I pray that you grant me grace to stay humble always in Jesus name amen.
