What a powerful time in God’s presence during today’s service!

​We were deeply blessed by a message on "The Ancient Landmarks," anchored in Proverbs 22:28 — "Do not remove the ancient landmark which thy fathers have set."

​In a fast-changing world, we were reminded to stand firm on the timeless foundation of our faith: pure worship, earnest prayer, and holy living. We don't lower God's standards to fit society's trends; we let His truth transform us!

Yesterday, Rev. Dr. Wale Oludiran shared a powerful message on what it truly means to honour God with all He has entrusted to us, grounded in Proverbs 3:9–10.

​Key lessons from the message:
​The Firstfruits Principle: Honoring God means giving Him our first and best not the leftovers demonstrating our trust in His faithful provision.

​Stewardship of Wealth: Our finances, time, and talents are tools given by God to build His house and bless others.

​Appreciating God’s Servants: True stewardship extends to valuing the people who serve in the house of God our dedicated ushers, cleaners, choir, instrumentalists, and media teams who work tirelessly behind the scenes!

​Let us put this word into action this week by placing God first in our finances and expressing intentional gratitude to those who serve around us.

First Baptist Church, Calabar is getting ready to celebrate a major milestone—our 50th Anniversary Celebration and a special Pastoral Appreciation Service honoring Rev. Dr. Tamunoibi Rogers & Rev. Dr. Patricia Miller for their faithful service!
God has been faithful to us over these five decades, and we can’t wait to celebrate His goodness together.

Today’s service was a powerful reminder that we do not walk through life in our own strength. When human effort reaches its limit, Divine Power steps in to transform, sustain, and make a way where there seems to be none.
