(Psalm 94:18–19)
"When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your love, O LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul".

Here, the psalmist was in a position where he was no longer in control. He couldn’t save himself, but then he says with great gratitude, “Your love, O LORD, supported me.”
When we come to the place where our foot is slipping, then God reaches out in His great love and mercy and He supports us and saves us. When the enemy called “worry and fear” shows up, we have to make a conscious decision, purpose in our heart and mind that we WILL stand on the word of God by faith, with determination, to press our way through it all.
Are you facing a situation that seems bigger than a mountain? Are there challenges in your life; things that you cannot understand. Just be rest assured that God is always there with you. God is faithful, He is with you every step of the way. When your feet slip on the slopes of life, He holds you up with His unfailing love. Safe within His loving grip you can have the confidence to keep going down the path of life.
Many times, we tend to focus so much on what went wrong, what we don’t have instead of looking forward and looking past the wrong and the seemingly bad situation. Do not let anxiety, stress and worry steal your peace and joy. Be grateful for His love and support always.

*PRAYER*
As the Psalmist declared, So do I declare unto you; that when you are filled with cares of this world, you will run to the Lord who is the “ROCK” that is higher than you. And there, He will not only comfort you, but will also give you joy, peace and hope, which in turn will cause you to be cheerful and not fearful. May God bless you as you keep trusting Him. May He keep you all safe so that your foot cannot be moved. May you receive divine support and comfort in the time of uncertainties in Jesus name.

(Joshua 1:9)
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go"

We have a father that is mindful of the situation and circumstances of His children. This God does not sometimes allow His people to have their way in all things especially when He desires His power and sovereignty to prevail. The above scripture was what Joshua needed at the time he was at a crossroad after the death of Moses his master. God understood that at that point Joshua needed every encouragement and assurance that God did not abandon him. He desired to be motivated by this awesome God that he would succeed in the assignment God gave to his charge.
Today, God is speaking to anyone that is afraid discouraged, confused and losing hope. God is asking you to be strong. God is telling you to do away with fear. God is reconfirming to you today that His presence is ever present and ever abiding. He is God, He is not a man and whatever He says, He will certainly do it. Today, I charge you to be strengthened in your faith. I encourage you to remain steadfast. I urge you to fully depend and rely on the promises of this faithful Father. He alone is ever faithful and ever sure!!
*PRAYER*
As you embark on the activities of today, I decree that you shall be strong even as the presence of the Lord will go with you. I command every valley confronting you to be exalted while every hill shall be made low and level in Jesus name. May the mighty hand of God be available to fight every hidden battle that may come your way in Jesus name. I pray that God will provide all the strength and divine abilities you need today to overcome in Jesus most precious name. Maranatha!

(HOLY SATURDAY)

"... the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;'
(1 Corinthians 2:8) NASB

The wisdom of men and that of this world before God is the highest level of foolishness. Today's scripture reveals that God's wisdom in executing every issue of life is not revealed to the men and powers of this world. This lack of godly wisdom led the princes of this world to condemn and crucify our Lord Jesus. If they had known or got any inkling of the resultant effect of the death of Jesus, they could not have crucified him.
Child of God, every human manipulation or strategy to put you to shame or undermine you shall end up in fiasco and boomerang. When Jesus was in the sepulchre, they thought that his inglorious end had come. Unfortunately, they never knew that right there in the grave, God was rewriting his story. God was preparing a glorious revelation of His son. Today, every situation or circumstance that has held you down or sent to foist misery on you shall end up in your favour in Jesus name. The powers of this world, the men of this world will never have the wisdom to negatively seal up your destiny in Jesus name. Are they thinking that it is over for you, just relax. Their ancestors did the same thing to Jesus but at the end of the day, God frustrated them and brought out His son in glory. In the same way, you will come through. You'll overcome, you'll triumph. All they that worked against you, all that wrote you off, all that gave you no space shall witness your glorious manifestation in Jesus name. Just like Jesus inside the grave, be calm, be quiet, be strong, be hopeful, it shall all end in joy and victory. God will certainly not abandon you to your fate in Jesus name. Joy cometh!

(Exodus 23:20-21)
“Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Be on your guard before him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since My name is in him”

God told the Israelites that He would send an angel to guard them on their journey to the promised land. He also tells them His expectations for what their lives with Him should look like. He is a God who loves justice and righteousness. He cherishes kindness and compassion. He alone is to be feared, worshiped, obeyed, and His presence is to be enjoyed. He also pours out good promises to them and He gives them clear warnings of the consequences of disobedience.
This scripture should encourage us today in our spiritual sojourn. Like the Israelites, we have received salvation and crossed from death to life through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But we have not yet reached the promised land and the way is long and hard. We must endure many hardships, painful sorrows in the journey of our faith, but the good news is that God has given us a Savior who will lead us where we need to go. Jesus will protect us from danger along the way. If we listen, He will tell us everything we need to know and if we obey, He will lead us home to God at the end of our earthly pilgrimage.
This truth should deeply pe*****te all you do as an individual and in every aspect of your life and you will draw close in relationship to Jesus Christ. Pay careful attention to the Lord, obey His voice and do all that He says and His presence will continually abide with you now and continuously.
*ACTION*
As you meditate on these words, be confident of our Lord’s promise of progress. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, keep avoiding the compromises offered by the 'Canaanites'. You are enabled to do so, knowing that it is God who is constantly walking by your side to give you victory in the end.
*PRAYER*
Great and Mighty God, I thank you for your manifold and great mercies which are new every morning. May I continually live in obedience to you so that I may continue to enjoy your abiding presence in Jesus matchless name, Amen!

DAILY COMPASS

(Mark 8:29)
"And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ".

Jesus, in our text today, tests the stand of His disciples. Do they personally have conviction of His person and mission or are they merely following popular opinion? So, He asked them, "Whom do men say that I am?" And, "whom say ye that I am?" Interestingly, the disciples knew what the popular opinions were about Christ; but their belief and conviction was different. They refused to join the belief of the people around them. They knew and were very sure of who Jesus was. This was why they staked their lives for Him and could be trusted with the truth of the gospel.
We cannot successfully run the Christian race without a strong and personal conviction in the Lord. Many do not personally know Jesus and are not sure of their relationship with Him. They are Christians by default, that is, because they were born into the Christian religion and their parents are active members of a church. They pay and contribute money and donations to the church. No wonder then that they have such a shallow relationship with the Lord. They cannot give up anything, let alone stake their lives for Him.
Who do you say Jesus is? Do you have a strong and personal conviction of Him as the only Lord and Saviour? Have you committed your life to Him, willing to stake all you have for Him including your life and resources? Are you totally deaf to the changing opinions of men and willing to stand for Him? Your Christian character cannot be sound without a strong conviction of who Jesus is to you personally.
*REFLECTION*
Think of who Jesus is to you. Do you really know Him? Does He know you. Use this coming Passion Week to establish your private relationship with Him.
*PRAYER* :
Almighty father please help me with divine revelation of Christ that will give me the real salvation. Help me to know Jesus as my own Lord and Saviour and not as the Saviour of the world in Jesus name Amen. Thank you Padre.

DAILY COMPASS

(Amos 8:2 )
"And he said, Amos, what do you see? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more"

The Lord communicated through Amos His intention to wreck havoc in Israel, since they had already asked His prophets to leave and not prophesy again in their cities. He equally condemned the oppression of the poor, the human trafficking and slavery that took place as the land sunk into heavy disorderliness and injustice. He promised to allow a famine to devastate the land and leave behind so many dead bodies that would be buried in silence. Their feasts will then be turned into mourning as a season of spiritual darkness sets in.
One can see that what happened then is not quite different from what is happening now in our country and many nations of the world. Yes, all is not well with the world and with humanity. We do not need to look too far to realize this. The signs are there for all to see and confirm that indeed this generation is truly operating in the end times. Killings, violence, destructions, insecurity, hunger, wars and threat to war, fear within and without, wickedness, just to name a few are now the 'acceptable' order of the day!
We, like in the days of Amos, have turned our back on God and readily accepts sin with reckless abandon. We have named and continue to name the name of Christ but have not decided to forsake iniquity.
What is our problem? What wrong did God and His Christ do to us? As we prepare to enter the Passion Week, let us examine ourselves again. Let us come to God in true repentance and He will forgive, restore us and heal our land.
*ACTION*
Take an inventory of your spiritual life today. Examine yourself again. Are you like the people in today's scripture that deliberately abandoned God? You can still return to Him today and He will grant you pardon and show you mercy.
*PRAYER* :
Almighty God, please, forgive any area of my life that is offensive to you. Father, please, give me the grace to always do the right things, by word and in conduct. Have mercy on this Nation Lord. Heal and save our land in Jesus matchless name... Amen

(Joel 2:12-13)
“Even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity".

In this scripture, prophet Joel is pleading with the people of Judah to return to the Lord. He warns the people about the dangers of turning away from God. This passage reveals the true nature of God, His judgment and His abundant mercy toward His people. God’s heart is that no one turns away from Him, but that all return to Him and be with Him with all their hearts.
The same call goes out to us today. Our persistent and normal tendency is to turn away from God especially when we think things are not going our way. Today, He is calling us to return to Him and it is a beautiful demonstration that the goodness, grace, and mercy of our long-suffering God, remains open to us all and all He wants from us is to simply trust in His Word, remember His goodness, genuinely return to Him with heart and soul and believe that He’s able to save us and grant us our heart desires.
God calls for hearts that love Him, for hearts that will turn back to Him wholly.
Are you ignoring God’s word and you do not like what He says in His words because it goes against what you want to do in your life? He calls you back to Him today and as you invest your time pressing into God, ask Him to impart Himself to you in a fresh way. Look away from all that has drawn you away from God, place your gaze on Him and you won’t be able to contain the revelation, the hope, and the power that will overflow from deep within you. And then your Easter experience will come to life again.
*ACTION*
Examine yourself today and determine if you are walking with the Lord? Or are you walking away from Him? You may be in church every Sunday, give offerings and donations but still not walking in the way of the Lord. Take a step back to Him and He’s willing and ready to embrace you.
*PRAYER*
Almighty and everlasting Father, thank you that you are constantly calling me back to you. I wholly retrace my steps back to you, grant me the grace to continually walk with you in Jesus precious name, Amen!

DAILY COMPASS

(Isaiah 10:27) NKJV
"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing".

God's mercy has always revealed itself even where there is a promise of punishment against His people when they sin. This was a recurring and significant theme in God's assignments to the prophet when He had a message for His people after they had gone into sin.
People who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus have a special seal or anointing on them that guarantees that no yoke or curse of the enemy affects them as long as they remain holy and faithful to Him and abstain from every appearance of evil. Consecrated believers connected to Jesus through His shed blood will survive and overcome any challenge. The enemy's yoke appears in several ways: suffering, loss, sorrow, pain, disappointment, slavery and rebellion. Today's scripture has promised us that by the seal of God on our forehead all the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing and coverage we have in the Holy Spirit. As we are gradually coming to the end of the Lenten season let's not forget that as God's chosen ones, we need to watch and pray always so that we do not bring back the burden that has been broken or fall away from the narrow path where our father has guaranteed us the protection promised in His Word. The passover blood can only protect those who abide in the house marked by it. Outside the coverage of Christ's blood, there is no true and lasting security.
*REFLECTIONS* : Have you considered how these apply to you as a person? It is the anointing of the Holy Spirit that can break satanically imposed powers and all evil manipulation that have troubled God's people.
*PRAYER* : Gracious father who dwells in mercy and abides in love, please give me the anointing that will break every yoke and burden of the wicked in my life and family. Today, I reclaim by fire any of my destiny that has been destroyed and covered by any satanic power in Jesus powerful name.. Amen.

( Mark 4:39)
" And he arose and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm"

Wao, what a marvelous way to deal with some unnecessary and stubborn distractions!
Our Lord Jesus was on a mission to go over to the other side with his disciples probably to have some rest, or to engage in a retreat or more still to move to the next level of their ministry. Along the way, an unnecessary storm came up. The storm was out to destroy them. It came with an intent to create fear in them. It came to scuttle their trip. The storm arose even to embarrass Jesus who is the master of all creation. It even interrupted the rest Jesus was enjoying. The storm came to dent all the testimonies that have trailed their mission. One major thing the storm did not fully appreciate was that Jesus himself was in the boat. The storm came up with short sighted pride and arrogance but our Lord Jesus humbled and humiliated it by just making a simple statement:PEACE be still.
Today, I declare any situation or circumstance that has or is troubling your heart to be still in Jesus name. I pronounce every storm, thunder or billow of life harassing you to be still in the name of Jesus. I speak peace, be still to your finances, your health, your business, your profession
your business, career, ministry and your studies in Jesus name. Lord Jesus, speak a word that will calm the frayed nerves of your children to them. Let their troubled heart receive peace, let peace envelope their bodies, spirit and soul in Jesus mighty name. No matter whatever may be the fear, challenge, trouble or unpleasant issue you're facing now, I declare: peace, be still in Jesus miraculous name.

(Matthew 9:33)
"And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”

The operation of demons in the life of an individual pose a lot obstacles to the person. It blocks blessings. It hinders growth and prosperity. It also inflicts sorrow and pain. Demons may operate internally or externally in one's life. I do also believe that you may experience demonic attack from evil spirits you may not see physically and evil humans you may see around you. Today's scripture tells us that when the devil that was hindering the man was cast out by our Lord Jesus Christ, the dumb man spake! The people who were always around to mock him were really surprised and amazed and confessed that they had not seen that type of miracle before.
TODAY, I command every demonic hand holding and blocking your destiny to wither by fire in Jesus name.
I cast out of your life every spiritual and human devil in the name of Jesus Christ.
I pronounce that you shall break forth and recover all that the evil one has stolen from you in Jesus name.
That which has been so difficult for you to achieve or accomplish shall be possible in the name of Jesus Christ.
As your miracle is made manifest, those who have written you off shall be put to eternal shame. The same mouth they had used to mock you shall also be the mouth they will use to announce and publicize your breakthrough in Jesus name.
I decree today that heaven will remember you for good and release your supernatural miracle in Jesus name.
That it has not occurred or happened before is not relevant. I declare that it shall start with you in Jesus name.
Rejoice, child of God, that case is settled gloriously and permanently in the most awesome name of Jesus Christ!

(Psalm 18:29)NLT

"In your strength I can crush an army; and with my God I can scale any wall".

David depended upon the Lord for victory over the enemy and for strength to accomplish amazing troubles. He trusted in the Lord to enable him to scatter the enemy and to scale walls.
In our own strength we cannot be victorious over the devil or difficult circumstances, but we can be victorious by trusting the Lord for success. When the Lord commissioned Joshua to lead the Israelites into Canaan and rout its strong inhabitants, He told Joshua not to fear but to obey Him and His Word.
David burst out in the song recorded in this Psalm as God intervened and preserved him from the trap of Saul's ambush meant to destroy him and his lineage. He compared his situation to running into a brick wall after outwitting troops in hot pursuit.
Man can fail you when it matters most. Asking for help from fellow man or from impotent idols makes the ugly situation worse. David and the Israelites did the right thing by forsaking their prowess and crying to the Lord for help. They all responded after succour came with great emotional salute to the Saviour.
The Christian in this age of carnal self sufficiency must not join the throng of deists who say God is out of the equation in the affairs of the world. Only God can fix man as he calls on Him. When He does, He expects man to praise Him.
There are some things God will not do for His saints while they fold their arms, but rather He enables and empowers them to be able to face and fight their challenges victoriously. Reliance on God always ensures victory. Today, rely on Him and not in your own strength. Trust in Him and He will grant you an amazing testimony.
*ACTION* : After the divine empowerment and enablement, God expects you to boldly and courageously face the adversaries (habit, people, powers, problems etc.), Are there challenges that look like walls in your life or family? Talk to God about it. Rely on Him and you will pull through.
*PRAYER* : Ask God to give you the needed divine assistance and enablement that will mark you out for an all time victory
Father give me the grace to manifest your power and turn all my tribulations to testimonies in Jesus name.

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof..."

One of the factors that makes life and living very exciting is the availability of challenges, concerns, tensions and fears. No man is immune from them. We face them. We encounter them. We may be scared of them and sometimes we find out that they may seem to be overwhelming on us. Whichever way they manifest, just like the Psalmist, we should not forget that God is there to strengthen us and to give us a coverage. Yes, God is in the midst of her. When it seems as if you have been abandoned, or forsaken, God is there for you. When you may not even understand what is happening around you, God is there for you. He'll give coverage from the fiery tempest, under the shadow of His wings, He will envelope you. Above all, He is a very present help in times of trouble. Are you passing through some troubles now? Do you feel like giving up? Have you tried your best but it seems your best is not enough? Just relax, just be still, you'll definitely see the finger of the Lord rewriting that chequered story of yours. Keep on trusting and depending on Him.
*ACTION* ; Truly, God is in the midst of that trouble. Do not depend on or trust any man. Put all your trust in God. In the fullness of time, you'll sing a new song.
*PRAYER* : Eternal father of glory, make haste to help me out of this present issue. Send your comfort to me from Mt. Zion to refresh my heart. May your divine assurance fill my soul and my spirit. Out of this stormy gale, help me to see your smiling face in Jesus name.
