TOPIC: PRAYER THAT ESTABLISHES THE BLESSING
TEXT: And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us (1 JOHN 5:14, KJV).
POINT FOR MEDITATION: Until prayer is correctly done, forget about the blessing that accompanies prayer. 🤔
Even though prayer is good, it's not every kind of prayer that produces results. There are promises you cannot claim until you are standing on certain premises. You fulfill conditions to demand provisions. When you carry out your responsibility, you enjoy God's possibilities. Faith becomes easy when you are standing on God's premises.
The following guidelines or procedures below will help us pray accordingly in order to be established in the blessing of God:
1. Pray revelationally (Genesis 32:9-12): Until Jacob had a revelation of the promises God promised his grandfather Abraham, knowing fully that God cannot lie or fail, he never encountered the blessing; but immediately God realized that Jacob had gotten a knowing of what he can do, He encountered him, and every Divine encounter brings the blessing. This is why we pray with God's Word. It's praying with a knowing of what God can do and will do.
2. Pray decisively: You must make the choice to pray in order to arrive at the blessing. People make choices and choices make them. Every decision to pray is decision to end in the blessing. It's not prayer you're forced to pray.
3. Pray desperately and fervently: Expectation combined with desperation is the mother of manifestation. The prayer that won't move you won't move heaven. It's prayer with a fighting, aggressive, and tenacious spirit that establishes one in the blessing.
4. Pray obediently (2 Corinthians 10:6; Deuteronomy 28:1-2): Prayer in disobedience is unconsciously invoking a curse on oneself (Proverbs 28:9). It's abomination to God to pray in disobedience. It's prayer in obedience that establishes you in the blessing.
Beloved, until prayer is correctly done, forget about the blessing that accompanies prayer.
WORD OF ADVISE:
Make up your mind to pray according to the guidelines above in order to arrive at the blessing.
ACTION STEP:
Consciously expect the blessing of God that accompanies prayer as you follow the right procedures in prayer.
PRAYER: Father, thank you for your Word today, I receive grace to pray revelationally, decisively, desperately, and obediently, in order to arrive at the blessing, LORD, in Jesus' Name-Amen.
