CHRISTIANITY IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK..
The Church is loud.
But the New Testament Church was undeniable.
In Acts, the gospel didn’t spread because they were persuasive.
It spread because they were proof.
Acts 4:13–14 (KJV) is a courtroom scene.
The rulers are observing evidence.
They saw boldness.
They recognized these were “unlearned and ignorant men.”
So they marvelled. Why?
“They took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”
How did they take knowledge?
“Beholding the man which was healed standing with them…”
That healed man was Exhibit A.
And the Bible says they could say nothing against it.
Meaning: true Christianity can silence opposition because it brings evidence.
Now compare that with our generation:
¶ We have people who can debate scriptures but can’t command darkness.
¶ We have believers who can quote Paul but never live Paul’s pursuit.
¶ We have churches with noise, but the “healed man” is missing.
"¶ We have men challenging what others are saying, not with manifest proofs and evidences of power, but with words and more more words. (1 Cor. 4:19 - 20)
Look at this!
" Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:13-14 KJV
Paul’s language was not “I joined.”
It was “I press.”
Not “I’m waiting.”
But “I groan that mortality might be swallowed up of life.” (2Cor.5:2-4)
And the blueprint is clear:
Ephesians 4:11-13 KJV
"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:"
The goal is a perfect man.
