Deeper Christian Life Ministry Bonny Region …. Your Spiritual Welfare is Our Concern… We were holding our Retreat at Okrika Region before 1999. Late Pastor Abraham Jumbo was also instrumental then.

However, we held our April 1999 Retreat at Bonny and thereafter, Bonny was pronounced a Region though there was no Overseer. Pastor Lucky Nnamdi was the Local Government Pastor but upon becoming a Region, Pastor Gabriel Olanrewaju was the Administrative Leader at the Bonny HQ, while Pastor Boniface looks after the Finima. We had few Districts then at NPA, Workers Camp. After the December Retreat,

Pastor FUC Abraham became the first Region Overseer. By January, he had interviewed several leaders to become District Pastors creating the GRA and other District. From there onwards, different Districts and location churches sprang up - Nembekiri, Agajar, River 7, Akiama, Ukumbi, Ajalamonia, Agalanga. Pastor FUC Abraham led the Region from 2000 to 2004. By 2004, there was a change in Barton of Overseership from Pastor FUC Abraham to Pastor Peter Odozie who was instrumental to a number of infrastructural development of the Region. He virtually put up the Plan of the now known as Bonny Region Master Plan. The current Auditorium, the Conference Block, the Children Church Building, the old Kitchen were all Master minded by Peter Odozie. Building and Evangelism were his strongest point. However, Pastor FUC Abraham was the Classical Pastor who introduced Music Concert/Solution Hour. Few years later, Pastor Peter Odozie was replaced by Pastor Charles Okon in 2012. Pastor Charles has been the longest Overseer ever in Bonny. Since his arrival, Bonny Region has witnessed rapid and massive all round growth both spiritually, physically, numerically and financially. Indeed, one will say, the church grew astronomically from hundreds to thousands. Within these years (2000 to 2020), Bonny Region has grown from 2 Main Districts (Bonny and Finima) to 15 Groups of more than 50 Districts and over 20 location churches. There are more to this brief analysis from the leadership point of view.
