*PRAY WITH ME*

I come before your throne with a grateful heart, Holy Father.
You made me who I am, and what tomorrow holds for me is a secret in your heart.
I don’t want to be like the foolish.
Don’t let me waste your grace in my life.
I do not want to build on sand and call it smartness.
Forgive me, Lord, in any way I have used Your name with wrong motives.
Forgive me for chasing results without chasing righteousness.
Purify my heart to truly honour you.
Let what I do be born out of love and sincerity.
Make me strong, make me better.
Give me the spirit of obedience — to obey your commands in all things.
I come to bless and worship you who made me what I am.
You are my Helper in all my ways and in all that I do.
I receive the courage to face any obstacle and to surmount them all.
Increase my confidence in you, Lord.
Make me stronger than the strongest of any diabolical powers.
Give me the grace to be above their evil enchantments.
With you in my life, Lord, no enemy can ruin my life.
You made my life beautiful from the time you came into my life.
Thank you, Lord, for being my God.
Thank you for letting me know you.
You will be God forever in my life.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen 🙏

_My prayer for you: God will bless you and protect you. God will lift you up in all your endeavours. You will be above and not below. What envies you will not bring you down. *YOU WILL FIND ABUNDANT GRACE FOR YOUR BREAKTHROUGH.*_
_The Lord is your strength._

*PRAY WITH ME*

Sweet Jesus, loving Jesus, I lay my life before you.
You have always been there for me in every way.
When the wicked came out against me thinking they can destroy me,
You were there to help me.
You said I should be patient to see what you will do to them.
That I will see how the wicked are punished.
You told me that my crying will not be in vain; my waiting will be rewarded, and that all who attack me shall know your judgement.
You said I should never worry because I will not be fighting alone.
I believe in your Word.
You are God and not man, and you will surely do all you say you will do in my life.
I am encouraged by your Word, O God.
I know I will not be all by myself, not in this battle, not in my struggle, not when I am under any form of attack.
Your presence is my strength, and your glorious presence will never depart from me.
I bring all who trouble me before your judgement, O God.
They have done their worst, answer them, Lord.
They are no god over my life.
I bring my delay, my pain, my mistake to You with absolute trust.
Your miracles are coming, and your goodness is following me.
Give me strength to run and not grow weary.
Let me prevail in all that ever comes against me.
Restore all that I have lost and let my life be an example of those you have blessed.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.🙏🏽
—————
_I bless your day and all that is of concern to you. God will give you strength, God will grant you victory, God will bring you total restoration. God will preserve your life. No one will use your head or your children for evil settlement. Whoever dig pit for you will fall in it. *NO MAN WILL SPOIL YOUR LIFE.*_
_God be with you._

St. Jeanne was born July 1773 at La Blanc, France and died August 26, 1838. She was canonized in 1947 by Pope Pius XII.

Born to nobility and educated in a convent school, Jeanne Elizabeth witnessed closely and was personally affected by the events of the French Revolution which shook France when she was just 16 years old.

Upon the death of her father, she moved to La Guimetiere with her mother, and in 1796, realizing that she needed to do something to defend the Church and keep the faith alive amidst the attacks of the revolutionaries, she decided to begin a ministry of teaching and serving the poor.

She gathered groups of faithful in the town – which was at this point without a priest or community of religious – and organized meetings of prayer, studying of the Scriptures, and singing hymns.

She entered a Carmelite convent upon her mother’s death in 1804, and later the Society of Providence, with the advice of Saint Andrew Fournet, an underground priest who was forced to remain clandestine because he refused to make a pledge of allegiance to the government of the new republic.

He realized that she was the one God had called to lead a community of women he had gathered, and she cofounded the Daughters of the Cross with him in 1807 to care for the sick and poor, and to teach the faith.

By the time of her death in 1838, the community had more than 60 houses all over France.

Archbishop Salvatore Joseph Cordileone of the Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco in the United States has urged 14 newly ordained Priests in Nigeria to model their Ministry on Christ’s sacrificial love and remain close to those entrusted to their pastoral care.

In his homily during the Saturday, August 22 Priestly Ordination of the 14 Deacons for the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi, Archbishop Cordileone said the commandment Jesus gave the Apostles during his farewell discourse provides a fundamental framework for understanding the identity and mission of the Catholic Priest.

“Be friends and fathers to your people. The people of God must know that the Priest is with them, that he is for them, and that he acts only with their best interest in mind,” he said during the Eucharistic celebration at the Sesugh Maria Pilgrimage Centre in Makurdi.

The American Catholic Archbishop said Priests are called to imitate Christ by giving themselves completely to those entrusted to them, including when their service requires difficult decisions or encounters resistance.

He encouraged the newly ordained Priests to trust in God’s grace and allow themselves to become instruments through whom God transforms his people.

Archbishop Cordileone explained that authentic Priestly friendship goes beyond sharing interests or enjoying another person’s company and is rooted in Christ’s sacrificial love.

“The love of friendship is not one of slavish service, carried out reluctantly under the burden of oppression. Rather, it is a liberating service, one that brings joy to both,” he said.

The U.S. Catholic Archbishop, who has led the San Francisco Archdiocese since his installation in October 2012, linked Priestly fatherhood to the relationship between Christ and the Church, describing Christ as the Bridegroom and the Church as his bride.

He also described the Priest’s vocation as one of building bridges between people and Christ, saying the Priest must become “a bridge and not an obstacle” to their encounter with Jesus Christ.

Addressing the challenging circumstances in which the 14 Deacons were being ordained Priests, particularly in Nigeria’s Benue State, Archbishop Cordileone said, “You are being ordained into a world in which this is also a dangerous step. There is a spiritual thirst in the world today.”

He said the world needs Priests who are close enough to the people of God under their pastoral care to know them and guide them through life’s joys and sorrows towards a deeper life in Christ.

Archbishop Cordileone said Priestly Ministry carries the danger of spiritual mediocrity when Priests neglect their interior lives and noted that the Nigerian context presents an additional, more literal danger.
