TEXT: GENESIS 3:8-24
TOPIC: STOP THE BLAME GAME
Adam blamed God for giving him Eve. Eve blamed the serpent for deceiving her. The blame game started with our ancestors in the Garden of Eden and has continued to this very day!
We keep looking for someone we can blame for our shortcomings, irresponsibility, and outright sin against God. As often said, old habits hardly die, but they can in Jesus' name.
If we sin, there is no need to resort to the old blame game. Let us simply take responsibility, confess to God, and repent.
1 John l:8-10 says, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
QUESTION:
Are you blaming someone else for your shortcomings, irresponsibility and sins?
PRAYER:
Oh God, help me to admit, confess and repent from my sins rather than blaming someone else, in Jesus' name. Amen.
