🌿 20TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME | YEAR A🌿

Yesterday, we gathered as one family of faith to celebrate the Holy Mass and to listen to God's Word.

One powerful message from the readings was the power of persistent faith.

In the Gospel according to Matthew (15:21–28), we encounter the Canaanite woman who came to Jesus, pleading for the healing of her daughter. Despite the difficulties she encountered, she refused to walk away. She continued to trust, continued to ask, and continued to believe.

And Jesus said to her:

“O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.”

Her story reminds us that faith does not mean we will never face obstacles. Rather, faith gives us the courage to keep trusting God even when the answer seems delayed.

The First Reading from Isaiah also reminds us that God's house is “a house of prayer for all peoples.” God's love and mercy are not limited; He calls everyone to Himself.

As we begin another week, may we carry this message with us:

🙏 Keep praying.
🙏 Keep believing.
🙏 Keep trusting God.
🙏 Never allow delay to make you abandon your faith.

May the Lord strengthen our faith, increase our trust in Him, and grant us the grace to remain steadfast in every season of our lives.

Day 5: Vocation and Holiness Day - Talk on Love, Dating, and Marriage God's way.

Today is about helping Catholic youths discover God’s plan for love, relationships, and our vocation. Instead of copying the world, we are called to build relationships that draw us closer to holiness.

Love is more than emotions. It is a choice, a sacrifice, and a calling. God Himself is the source of love - 1 John 4:8. So, any relationship that doesn’t lead us to God and to holiness is not walking in His way.

Every one of us is called to love, and we live this out in 3 ways: as single persons, in marriage, or in priesthood/religious life.*

Dating is not just for fun. It is a time of discernment toward marriage. And marriage itself is not just an event. It is a sacred sacrament — a covenant that mirrors Christ’s love for the Church.

"Take Courage" — Loving, dating, and marrying God’s way is possible. It requires Christ, purity, patience, and purpose because it leads to relationships that last and glorify God.

YOUTH WEEK 2026 – DAY 5 ✨

Yesterday's interactive session with the **Cathedral Church Council** was truly enlightening and inspiring.

It was more than just a discussion—it was an opportunity for our youths to engage directly with the leadership of the Church, ask meaningful questions, share their thoughts, and gain valuable guidance on faith, leadership, service, and the future of our parish community.

We are grateful to the members of the Cathedral Church Council for making time to mentor, encourage, and challenge us to remain steadfast in Christ.

As we continue our Youth Week celebration under the theme:

"Take Courage, I Have Overcome the World." – John 16:33

May we continue to grow in faith, unity, and commitment to building God's Kingdom.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the session impactful. The journey continues!
