ARRESTING THE SPIRIT OF UNTIMELY DEATH
Opening Scriptures
Psalm 118:17
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
Psalm 91:16
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Beloved, we are living in a time where death is no longer waiting for old age. It is moving fast, striking suddenly, and cutting people off in their prime. Young men full of strength are collapsing. Women with great destinies are being buried. Children are being lost mysteriously.
It is very clear in our generation that the spirit of untimely death is on the rise. Many destinies are being cut short. Many promising lives are being swallowed before their season. People wake up healthy and strong, yet within a short time, death strikes without warning. This is not always ordinary. In many cases, it is a spiritual attack orchestrated by the powers of darkness.
The Bible makes us understand that death is not just an event; it can also be a spirit — a force that operates with an assignment. In Hebrews 2:14, the scripture clearly states that there is one who had the power of death which is the devil. This means death can be manipulated, programmed, and targeted.
Untimely death is when a person dies before fulfilling their God-ordained purpose, before their season, or through mysterious, sudden, or avoidable circumstances. It is not the will of God for His children to die prematurely. God’s agenda is long life, fulfillment, and completion of destiny.
These powers do not want you to complete your assignment. They want to silence your voice, terminate your glory, and abort your destiny. Many people today are walking around with destinies that are marked for premature death.
Some have been programmed for destruction from their foundation. Some are under evil family patterns where people do not cross a certain age. Some are victims of envy, witchcraft, or spiritual battles they are not even aware of. Others have unknowingly entered into covenants that are speaking death into their lives.
Untimely death does not just come, it is often preceded by signs, warnings, and spiritual indicators. Before many people die, they begin to experience: Strange dreams of death or burial. Repeated attacks in their sleep. Sudden and unexplainable health issues. Near-death experiences that keep repeating.
One of the greatest tragedies in life is not just death, it is dying before your time. Dying before you fulfill your purpose. Dying before you enjoy the fruit of your labour. Dying when heaven still has assignments for you. God’s original plan is not premature death. God’s plan is long life and fulfilled destiny.
Many believers assume that because they are Christians, nothing can or would happen to them. But the truth is: what you don’t confront, you cannot conquer. This is why you must rise to arrest the spirit of death projected into your life. Command them to backfire. Beloved, death is not your portion. Grave is not your destination now. Your story will not end suddenly.
You will live long. You will complete your assignment. You will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

May the good Lord, arise and break every covenant of untimely death working against our life, in Jesus’ name.
