SALVATION (PART4)
CONVERSION
2Cor. 5:17; Eph. 4:22-23; Rom. 6:2,6,11-14
There are lots of artifacts and varieties in our world that is more beneficial to us, because of it ability to be converted to our desired tastes. If it has existed in it raw form, it would have been almost impossible for usage. Trees in the forest could not be fitted into use, until it was converted to divers sort.
We all exist in our raw form as sinners, before we became born again by the will of God. Rom 3:23, John 1:13
At that instant of being birthed in the spirit, we became children of God, through what Christ has done. Our believe in Jesus Christ brought about our spiritual existence, and as a result we don't just exist in the spirit, we respond to growth.
This growth is obtained at the process of conversion. It is at this level that you can attain to the point of fulfilment. A child who is born physically to his parents, does not acquires the resemblance of either or both parent at instant birth. There are gradual changes of appearances the baby has, until It had a face that could be traced to the mother or the father or both parents. And the growth continues until maturity. 2Pet. 3:18; Eph. 4:15; Pro. 2:1-11
You can't remain the way you were at salvation. There must be a way of growth when you consume healthy spiritual diets and your parenting by the Holy Spirit is sustained overtime.
Conversion is a process of radical change through regeneration and transformations from sin, satan and the world. It is a mark that follows definite encounters of salvation with Christ. Conversion is at it peak when we accelerate to growth in Christ.
There's a new life that transcends in your whole being, it affects your perceptions and change your convictions. It makes a selfish and a carnal live becomes a Christ centered live. The effect of conversion brings a complete transformation from an old live of sin to a new live of righteousness. 2Cor 5:17. It sets your affection on things above, bringing the humility that exalts Christ in you. Col 3:1-5
At conversion you believe without arguments or without trying to reason out with a carnal knowledge, what Christ demands of you. At that process you have no will of your own, you're sold out. John 9:4 You've given out yourself to be molded, and transformed.
There are things that Will be chisled out of your life and will be replaced with the things required for the Master's use through daily purging of yourselves. 2Tim. 2:20-21
The journey of conversion is a strait and narrow way that leads to life. It Is a road that won't allow excess of anything that doesn't conforms to Christ and because of it's kind of way of self mortification, self denial, self cruxifixion and cross bearing, most Christains will find it difficult to walk in this part.
This will result to a spiritual stagnation of the new birth experience and gradually their spirit being becomes so impoverished because at the time they were to crack bones, they still needs milk. Heb. 5:12
This process of difficulty, might be too tough for many, some will choose not to continue in it, by embracing the 'easy way', where their claims is only on being born again without the conversion experience. This is what set out the few from the majority, because they do everything within their capacity to grow in the spirit. Matt 7:13-14
Being stulk at the new birth experience without proceeding to conversion is like being stuck at birth without growth. A child that is just birthed, cannot be compared to a three weeks, one month, three month.....nine months baby. There's a difference and that is growth.
This growth continues and in the process of time that child has a form or a resemblance of either or both parent.
You have no resemblance with Christ if you refuse to grow and have His image in you.
Whose Image do you have?
