SUNDAY NEEDY SERVICE.
TOPIC: THE GRACE THAT FLOWS THROUGH YOU.
TEXT: 2 COR. 9:8-15.

We thank God for His word He's always sending to us at all time may His name be praise in Jesus name.
Grace is not only what God gives us, but also what God wants to flow through us. We all know that grace is God's unmerited favor, but there is another dimension of grace that we should know, grace is not only received, but it is expressed. God bless you so that the blessing can reach someone else, He comfort you to comfort others, He strengthens you to be the strength to others. If we claim to have the nature of God, we should show it in our daily lives. You are to be an extension of God, let people see God in you.
It is not every time you ask God to bless you. God is waiting for the day you start to ask "what can I do to bless others". Start with the little you have. Not just money, give kindness, give love, give care. Extend the nature of God by showing grace to others. When you came to Christ, He saved you by His grace. You are to extend that grace to others. God is not selfish and He does not have selfish children. No one with the mentality of me, myself and I can walk with God. God's provisions is connected to His purpose. Every provision God make is attached to a purpose He want to fulfill (advancing His kingdom). God is not blessing you so that you can have food to eat or build a big house, all those things are automatic in the kingdom, you coming to Christ, your well-being is assured and take care of. But when talking about God's blessings, it has to extend to others. God is always looking at a bigger picture when He wants to bless someone. "How many lives will be blessed by you if I should bless you" that is what God is thinking. He called Abraham to be a blessing to nations, so through Abraham blessings nations connect to God. How many people will connect to God if He should bless you.
2 COR. 9:8. God made His grace to abound towards us, so that we can abound in good works. God gives, you receive, you bless someone, then God gives again. It is like a river that water flows through, if the water keep gathering and it doesn't flow out, the river becomes stagnant and smelly. Just as you eat, you need to defecate. If you keep eating without defecating, you will become unhealthy.
Now, we need to understand that, meeting people's need does not mean enabling them to be lazy. There must be a biblical balance. The bible teaches generosity not irresponsibility. You can't come hungry today and I give you food, then come tomorrow and do the same, if you should come next time I will tell you to go and work. 2 THESS. 3:10. Don't always see yourself at the receiving end. In life there are two levels, those that give and those that receive. And the receivers will always be low to the givers, PRO. 22:7. Sometimes you might need to receive, but don't stay there, work your way out of it to be on the givers side. There is a different between someone that can not help themselves and someone that refuses to help themselves. Sometimes what the needy needs is advice and to be told the truth. If you give someone that needs advice money, the person will waste the money and come back tomorrow.
PRO. 19:17. God said He will pay every giver, but don't carry the notion that I helped someone, therefore God owes me. You can not manipulate God with generosity. Giving is not a bribe. You are not giving because you are expecting God to pay you back, you can't receive your reward with such mentality. You give out of love. 1 JOHN 4:19. Then God can decide to pay you back with anything may not necessarily be money, it might be protection, a seat at the top.
The highest expression of God's blessings in your life is not that you have enough for yourself. It is that through your life, someone else has enough.
