*Topic: The excellency of the Blood of Jesus.*

*Basic Scripture:Hebrews 9:10-16*

The potency of the Blood of Jesus is far above expression,many do call on the blood of Jesus because they are told to do so,some see it as one of the ordinances but,it is far far above all these and it will only take those that have believed and tested its efficacy to be able to show others that it is more than imagined.The blood of Jesus is precious, supreme and a great key to now and eternity.

*OBSERVATIONS*

The following are some of the great works of the blood of Jesus that is not comparable to any other

*1) Eternal redemption-Verse 12*

The earthly high priest will offer bulls and goats yearly but,this could only cover sins whereas, Jesus Christ entered the holies once and with His blood obtained eternal redemption for us,it does not need to be repeated yearly like those of bulls and goats which is imperfect and not eternal.

*2) Spotless sacrifice unto God-Verse 14*

The blood of Jesus being pure was the greatest sacrifice that God would accept because all other bloods carries spot,wrinkles,blames etcetera and for sin to be taken away,guiltless blood is required and was gotten from God's begotten son Jesus.

*3) Purges conscience from dead world-Verse 14*

The blood of bulls and goats sprinkling the unclean,sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh but,the blood of Jesus purges the conscience from dead works in order for one to serve the living God.Anything short of the blood of Jesus whether in or out of the church,the person would only be full of dead works and the living God would not accept such services,watch out.

*4) It makes possible receiving of the promise of eternal inheritance-Verse 15*

As Christ was obedient to the death of the cross,God highly exalted him.He is the heir of God,he went to prepare a place for those that are called and sitteth on the right hand of God and through His blood,we became joint heirs with Christ.We have access to what Christ has access to, eternal inheritance.

Prayer For The Week

Pray with Hebrews 9:14 that

1) God of mercy should saturate and sanitize your life with the blood of Jesus so that your conscience would be purged from all dead works for you to serve the living God.

*Topic: What to do in face of Christian challenges?(Part 2)*

*Basic Scripture: 2nd Timothy 2:14-24*

God,is a great, loving,caring, and rewarding father.He had called everyone through the love He Has for the world but however,the partakers of this endless blessings are those that believe in His love that is Jesus Christ whom he ransomed for the sins of the whole world.He had made available principles/guidelines to succeed in faces of challenges.

OBSERVATIONS

The following are more of what should be done in face of Christian challenges

*1) Strive not about words-Verse 14*

There is a difference between people that want to know by learning more and those who think they know but do not know and want to confuse knowledge,be careful to go into argument with the latter because,they only want to confuse and water down the strength of the word in the ears of true learners.

*2) Study to know deeply the word of God-Verse 15*

The deeper you are in the word of truth,the stronger you are to face any challenges.You would not be ashamed,the more intense effort you make,the more the Holy Spirit would help you to understand and share the word of God rightly,give more time to studying the Bible.

*3) Shun profane and vain babbling-Verse 16-18*

Avoid dis-interference because it increases ungodliness.The propounders will usually err but would overthrow the faith of many e.g . Hymenaeus and Philetus.

*4) Depart from injury:Verse 19-21*

God's foundation is sure and certain,He knows His people so,anyone that would genuinely call on God must depart from iniquity so that,he would be purged,sanctified as a vessel unto honour set aside for every good works.

*5) Flee from all youthful lust-Verse 22*

To flee,to instantly disappear from any appearance of lust and this would be made easier if one abides in righteousness,faith,charity, and peace with those that call upon God with a pure heart.

*6) Strive not,avoid foolish and unlearned questions -Verse 23,24*

A genuine child of God "must not strive" but be gentle with all men and one way to achieve this is to avoid foolish and unlearned questions which are usually arranged to trap and derail a person,several attempts were made against Jesus but he escaped,you will also escape.

Prayer For The Week

Pray with 2nd Timothy 2:15 that

1) God should help you to fall in deeper love with His word so that you will prosper spiritually, physically and in all wise and have GOOD success-Joshua 1:8.
