Message; What is an Alter?
An Alter is a place of encounter, sacrifice, worship, convenant, and communication with God.

WHY EVERY MARRIAGE NEED A GODLY ALTER

A. It establishes God's presence. Psalms 127:1
B. Alter give couples spiritual direction.
C. Alter strengthen marital unity.
D. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

EXAMPLES OF A GODLY ALTER

* Abraham. Genesis 12:7-8, Genesis 13:18, Genesis 22:9
* Job. A father who built an Alter for his family. Job 1:5
* Joshua. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15.

WHAT SHOULD WE OFFER ON OUR MARITAL ALTER
A. Sacrifice time. Ephessians 5:15-16
B. Sacrifice of pride. James 4:6
C. Sacrifice of unforgiveness. Colossians 3:13
D. Sacrifice of selfishness. Philippians 2:3

* The word of God must be the foundation. Matthew 7:24-25
* Prayers must become a lifestyle. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
* Worship and Thanksgiving. Psalms 100:4
