TOPIC: WHAT ARE YOU ALIVE FOR?

SCRIPTURE: For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: For a person to live in sin,stay disconnected from the Presence of God and feel normal is a disaster about to happen.

We understand from Scriptures that Abraham, without a doubt existed in his days as a generational blessing. He lived a life that even demons envied. Abraham is looked upon by everyone as a highly unusually fortunate personality.

Now, what was Abraham’s secret? He was alive for only one thing and only one person, and that is Jehovah EL SHADDAI. He refused to give glory to any man for his blessings.

Now, in order to exist as a generational blessing, there are questions for us to answer and if we can answer them correctly, then our blessing in this generation cannot be contested, and in eternity, it is confirmed:



1. What are you alive for? (Philippians 1:21).

If it is not Christ,"then there is no need to be alive. When your time to depart comes and you are no longer alive, what will be the implication of your absence?



2. Who is the strength of your confidence in life?

Some trust in their beauty and others trust in their certificates. Some even trust in their spiritual activities but who is the strength of your confidence?



3. What drives you?

What can be called your greatest passion on earth, to make money or to make impact? Is it to please God or to please self or people?



4. What gives you your greatest pleasure in life?

What is it that gives you your greatest excitement in life?

Beloved, for a person to live in sin, stay disconnected from the Presence of God and feel normal is a disaster about to happen. To be without prayer, study of the Word, praying in the spirit and worship, and still feel normal is a challenge. It is like a man satisfied without oxygen. Live with eternity in mind and you will be a generational asset to your generation and to the Kingdom of God.

REMEMBER THIS: For a person to live in sin, stay disconnected from the Presence of God and feel normal is a disaster about to happen.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Ask yourself the questions in this study.

2. Live with the consciousness of eternity always.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be eternity-conscious. Let my life be free from sin and guilt, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC:- THE SECRET OF ACTION AND MOTION

Vision is the secret of action and motion (Habakkuk 2:2), and where vision is absent, idleness is inevitable.

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The absence of vision is the abundance of idleness. Vision is the secret of action and motion.

Previously, we saw the benefits of living a life of vision. We saw that vision is the secret of outstanding existence. Vision imparts discipline to life. And discipline facilitates distinction.

Today, we shall be looking at two other benefits of vision:

1. Vision is the secret of action and motion

Vision is the secret of action and motion (Habakkuk 2:2), and where vision is absent, idleness is inevitable. The absence of vision equals the abundance of Idleness. Where a person lacks vision, time becomes a burden. The person who lacks vision has time but he doesn’t know what to do with it. If you have time and you don’t know what to do with it, your life is wasting. If you wake up in the morning and you don’t know what to do with your life, then your life is wasting. The absence of vision is the abundance of idleness. Vision is the secret of action and motion.

2. Vision is key to wisdom.

Wisdom comes naturally for people of vision. When you know what you want out of life, the wisdom to achieve it comes naturally to you.

Matthew 6:22 says, “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” (KJV) Men of vision are men of wisdom. Women of vision are women of wisdom. Your mind opens up to revelation and insight if you know what you are meant to achieve.

Make up your mind to conceive the vision for living. Review your vision from time to time.

Remember this: The absence of vision is the abundance of idleness. Vision is the secret of action and motion.

FRIDAY 18 APRIL, 2020

TOPIC: ACTION DETERMINES OUTCOME

SCRIPTURE: Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch. Genesis 49:3-4

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Actions determine outcome. Your behaviour affects your becoming. Your habits affect your habitat.

In life, I have seen children of wealthy people ending in abject poverty. There are some people whose fathers left great wealth behind for but they ended up squandering the resources. I knew of a lady whose father left a very great estate for but she sold everything and squandered it on alcohol and wayward lifestyle with her men friends. As a result, she ended up in wretchedness. She had all she needed materially for a bright future but she squandered everything.

Many times, peoples’ potentials do not translate into distinction. Not all opportunities can translate into possibilities because of several enemies of destiny. For example, Scriptures make it clear that Reuben, the first born of Jacob was meant to be the progenitor and transmitter of the covenant Blessing in the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob but that chain of greatness could not flow through Reuben because of enemies of destiny like iniquity and character flaws exhibited by him. (Genesis 49:1-4).

Now, one other enemy of distinction and excellence is the lack of vision. Obviously, Reuben lacked the vision for a solid future and that was why he ended the way he did.

It has been said that the walking steps of a masquerade can be used to predict whether or not he knows how to dance. In the same manner, the way we conduct our lives from the beginning determines how we will end. Actions determine outcome. Your behaviour affects your becoming. Your habits affect your habitat. The way you move, act or conduct yourself now can affect your later outcome in life. Reuben’s action was so bad that his outcome in life was very terrible.

Beloved, do not act in a manner that will jeopardise your destiny like Reuben. Act positively.

Remember this: Actions determine outcome. Your behaviour affects your becoming. Your habits affect your habitat.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Do not put up negative actions that will jeopardise your destiny.

2. Make up your mind to live right every day.

PRAYER: O Lord, I receive the grace to live right in order to have a solid destiny. Deliver me Lord, from every negative action that will jeopardise my destiny, in Jesus’ Name.

*SATURDAY 2ND NOVEMBER, 2019*

*TOPIC* : CONNECTING DIVINE PRESERVATION

*SCRIPTURE* : _He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm._ Psalms 105:14-15

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:* _To serve God is to be saved by God; to serve God is to be safe in life._

Preservation in this context connotes exemption and protection from danger and harm. So, when God guards, protects and exempts His children from danger and harm, it is called Divine preservation or Supernatural preservation.

The truth is, God is a specialist in the preservation of His children. The Most High God is interested in the welfare of His people. To be called by God is to be preserved by Him. The Caller is also the Preserver.

Now, what are the keys to Divine Preservation?

1. Upright Living : To be upright is to end right up – far above the reach of the enemy. Righteousness takes you to the realm that is beyond the reach of harm. (Isaiah 33:15-16).

2. Dwelling in God’s Presence: The secret place of God is the safest place for a man’s life. (Psalms 91:1)

3. Kingdom Assignment: You cannot carry out an ambassadorial assignment and not have diplomatic immunity. In the same manner, you cannot carry out Kingdom assignment and not have Divine (heavenlimatic) immunity. To serve God is to be saved by God. To serve God is to be safe in life. (Exodus 23:25)

I prophesy to you in these ‘…mber’ months; God shall preserve you and your loved ones against every satanic wickedness and onslaught, in Jesus’ Name.

*REMEMBER THIS* : To serve God is to be saved by God; to serve God is to be safe in life.

*ASSIGNMENT (S):*
1. Determine to live a life devoid of iniquity and compromise.
2. Anything that keeps you away from God’s Presence is an enemy of your preservation – fight it.
3. Be brutally involved in kingdom assignment especially soul-winning.

*Topic: Ask, Ask & Ask Again.*

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

*MESSAGE:-*
Towards the end of His earthly ministry, Jesus called His disciples aside and said to them in John 16:24:

“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

I believe the disciples were shocked to hear Him say this, because they must surely have been praying. What the Lord was actually saying to them was that they had not been asking rightly. This is the case with many children of God today. When we think we are praying, we are actually complaining, and some of us are even weary in prayer, contrary to the Lord’s teaching in Luke chapter 18. There is a difference between prayer and complaining. Some of us even accuse God in our prayers! We issue Him queries and present a long list of our good works that should compel Him to do our bidding. This should not be so. Let us learn from the experience of the children of Israel in the wilderness. The Lord said to them in Numbers 14:27-28:

“27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. 28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:”

When we ask God to do something that does not align with His will, He does not consider that to be a prayer. We cannot coerce or manipulate Him into doing things that are against His integrity and honor. If you overhear some people’s prayers, you will be amazed. Some pray that God should kill their “troublesome” spouses so that they can be free to marry someone else! This is not prayer; it is witchcraft! Praying contrary to the will of God is nothing but lusting after ungodliness. If you are under distress due to the wickedness of fellow human beings, it is enough to ask God for deliverance from all enemies; He knows what to do to deliver you. Today, I want you to pray like you have never prayed before, asking God to accomplish His will concerning whatever situation you are currently in. Ask Him to provide for you, but don’t tell Him how. Tell him to promote you but don’t tell Him how. Ask for your long awaited spouse but don’t prescribe for Him. God will answer your prayers today in Jesus’ Name.

Father, as I present my petitions today, let Your Holy Spirit help me to ask according to Your will, in Jesus’ Name.
