*2022 New Year Message*
Worship: At the centre of it all
*PENIEL: PERSONAL DIVINE ENCOUNTER*
Genesis 32:24-31
And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.
Introduction
Your life up till now has been marked with struggle
From struggle to godly to struggle for survival

For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
You struggle with sin, faith, fear, household enemies, survival, economic, security and social challenges
Don't give up

1. Stop struggling with God
Genesis 32:24

: feeling or showing regret for bad behavior
2. Stop struggling with your Angel

4. In 2022 you will have a personal encounter with God
Genesis 32:27
And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
5. In 2022 you all your fears shall be taken over by the mightier than the mightiest
6. In 2022 you will not struggle to serve God
7. In 2022 you will serve God wholeheartedly with your time, talent and money
8. In 2022 you will submit all your weaknesses, bad behaviour, bad character, bad attitude, bad habits to God
9. In 2022 you will take and manifest the strength and good nature of the Holy Spirit
10. In 2022 you will not be late to church and your appointments
11. In 2022 you will not miss church services and programs
12. In 2022 you will not be proud, arrogant, stubborn or disloyal but you will be humble, obedient and respectful
13. In 2022 God will change your story to glory, your trials to triumph and your tests to testimonies
Genesis 32:28
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
14. In 2022 God will change your name from barren to fruitful, from poor to prosperous, from sick to healed, from debtor to lender, from begger to giver, from stringy to generous, from bound to free, from afflicted to delivered, from weak to strong, from single to married, failure to success, from sinner to saint, from local to international, from hustler to CEO
15. In 2022 in this very place where you serve loyally and faithfully God will bless you, in that job where you work hard honestly heaven will smile on you, in that business where you hustle and bustle God will remember you
Genesis 32:29
And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
16. In 2022 God will preserve your life, God preserve your family, God will preserve your business, jobs and investment
Genesis 32:30
And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
17. As you have crossed over into 2022 the Sun of Righteousness is risen upon you with healing in its wings
18. This 2022 every areas of your life, family, ministry, business that was groping in the dark receive light now
