TOPIC: DEALING WITH
HINDERING SPIRITS

TEXT: 1 Thess. 2:18; Nehe. 4:7-9; Dan. 10:10-14; Rms. 15:22

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
There are different types of spiritual demonic forces. One of such forces is the hindering spirit. The primary assignment of hindering spirits is to block or stop people from achieving their goals, visions, and dreams in life and destiny.

MEMORY VERSE:
" Neither give place to the devil ". Eph. 4:27.

INTRODUCTION:
To hinder is to prevent, stop, put an obstacle, a barrier etc. It is to shut out. It also means to block, to keep back or behind and to re**rd.
So, the work of hindering spirits is to stop, prevent, block, intercept progress, achievement, success and promotion.
Hindering spirits can use any means or methods, human or non - human to stop a person from moving forward in life and destiny.
Of course, the Bible has already established that we fight against spiritual unseen forces. Eph 6:10-12; 2 Cor. 10:3-5.

HOW TO DEAL WITH HINDERING SPIRITS:

1 # You need to engage in prevailing prayers. Heart felt, intense prayers. Jms. 5:16; Lk. 18:7.

2 # Be sober and vigilant. Be watchful. Set a watch against every hindering spirits. Give them no room or chance in your life. 1 Pet. 5:8-9; Jms. 4:7. Be spiritually alert to know when they are at work and engage them in the altar of prayers.

3 # Use all the spiritual weapons at your disposal. Our Lord Jesus Christ did not leave us helpless in this evil world. He gave us enough spiritual weapons to deal with the enemy including hindering spirits.

A. The Name of Jesus. Phil 2:9-11.

B. The blood of Jesus. Reve. 12:11.

C. The Word of God. Heb. 4:12; Jer. 23:29

D. The anointing oil. Mk 6:12-13; Jms. 5:13-14; Isa. 10:27.

4 # Refuse to be discouraged. Keep working. Refuse to be stagnated, delayed or distracted. Keep at what you are doing no matter the harassment of the hindering spirits.

TOPIC: LOOSE HIM AND LET HIM GO.

TEXT: Jn 11:43-44; Matt 21:1-2; Lk 13:10-13; Exo 8:1.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
It is God's Will, plan and purpose that you be set free from whatsoever is holding you down from making significant progress and achieving your goal in life.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus, you are loosed and released from every bo***ge, captivity and imprisonment right now.

MEMORY VERSE:
" But thus saith the Lord, the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered." Isa 49:25a.

INTRODUCTION:
To lose is to become unblocked, unrestrained and liberated from every confinement.
To loose is to be freed to exercise your Will, emotion, intellect and to become all that you are destined to be.

Think about these:

1 # Lazarus, though raised from the dead was still bound hands, legs and his face covered signifying unproductiveness, stagnation and rejection. Jn 11:43-44.

2 # The Ass and C**t were tied in the junction of two roads signifying stagnation and confusion. Matt 21:1-2.

3 # The woman in Lk 13:10-13 was held bound by the spirit of infirmity signifying satanic attack on her health.

INDICATORS THAT SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE LOOSED AND LET GO.

1* When a person notices that nothing is working in his or her life. Everything seems stagnated.

2* When a person is experiencing continuous failures, disappointments, rejection, setbacks, backwardness etc.

3* When a person notices that he or she is always attracted, liked, loved and is being moved towards the wrong things, follow the wrong paths, make the wrong decisions, follow the wrong company and association etc.

4* When a person is constantly buffeted with nightmares that shows imprisonment, bo***ge, captivity etc.

WHAT TO DO TO BE LOSSED AND LET GO:
1 # # Embrace light. Come to the light, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jn. 8:12; 1:4-5

2 # # Denounce, renounce and reject the bo***ge in the place of prayer.

3 # # Ask God to set you free, to lose you and to let you go.

4 # # Where necessary, seek the prayer of an anointed Man of God.

5 # # Seek godly counsel on how to live in total freedom and to have a new beginning.

CONCLUSION:
I lose you from every bo***ge and set you on the path of total freedom in Jesus Name.
I release you into your inheritance and destiny in Jesus Name.

PRAYERS:
1** Father, thank you for your Word to me today. Be Glorified Lord in Jesus Name.

2** Father, I reject every bandage and captivity out of my life in Jesus Name.

3** Father, I ask for total freedom and complete deliverance in Jesus Name.

TOPIC: IDOLATRY.

TEXT: 1 Kgs 15:8-13; Lev 19:4,26; 1 Jn 5:21.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Idols are false gods created by men.They are the works of men's hands.
However, they are backed by fallen spirits through which they manipulate people's lives, destinies, places and communities.

MEMORY VERSE:
" Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from Idolatry." 1 Cor 10:14.

INTRODUCTION:
Generally speaking, an idol is anything you pay allegiance to instead of God.
Anything and everything that takes the place of God in your life is an idol.
Specifically, idols are images, curved objects, grooves, molded objects etc that people bow down to, render their worship to.
Idolatry is the Worship of idols.
It is paying homage to creatures rather than
the Creator.
They includes image worship, nature worship (the worship of the sun, moon, stars, wind, rivers, hills, trees, stones etc).
It will interest you to know that many things are associated with idolatry such as witchcraft, occultism, covetousness, uncleanliness, filthiness etc.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1 # The believer is warned to flee from Idolatry.
A true believer is never to have anything to do with idolatry.1 Cor 10:4, 1 Jn 5:21, Acts 15:28-29.

2 # Giving yourself to the worship of idols in any disguise is sin and evil in the sight of God. Giving your time, money, material, energy in the worship of idols is sin before God. Exo 20:3-5, Ezek 14:3-7.

3 # The believer should ensure that any object, image, groove etc that represent idolatry are adequately destroyed. Keeping anything that has to do with idols in your possession as a believer in sin and evil in the sight of God. Acts 19:18-19; .2 Chron 34:1-7.

4 # The believer is also warned not to have fellowship with idolaters. We are never to encourage, support or admire idolaters but to urge them to repent. 2 Cor 6:14-18.

TOPIC: GOD'S REPORT.

TEXT: Isa. 53:1; 46:10; Lk. 5:1-6; 8:49-50.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
We live in a world that is full of reports. Majority of this reports are evil, negative, frustrating and depressing.
One soul is bombarded with negative reports which more often than not, form the basis of our beliefs, reasonings, decision making and lifestyle.
For the believer, he or she is to believe God's report as enshrined in His Word.

MEMORY VERSE:
" Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me." Acts 27:25.

INTRODUCTION:
A true believer is to believe God's report concerning his or her life.
God has given us His report and mind through His Word.

Think about these:

1 # God's report says you were created to be fruitful, to subdue and dominate the earth. Gen 1:28; 17:6; Ps 139:14; 8:4.

2 # God's report says that you are to live in good/divine health. 3 Jn. 1:2; Exo 15:16; 23:25-26.

3 # God's report says that you are heavily guarded and preserved. You are divinely protected. Ps 27:1-3; 91:1-16; 121:1-8; 125:1-3; Matt 10:29-31; Lk 10:19.

4 # God's report says He will deliver you from all your afflictions, pains, tears etc. Ps 34:19; Jer 1:19.

5 # God's report says He will settle, establish and bless you. Ps 90:17; 1 Pet 5:10.

6 # God's report says He will answer you when you call on Him. when you pray, He answers. Jer 29:12; 33:3; Ps 91:15; 1 Jn 5:14-15.

7 # God's report says He will provide for you. You will not lack or want. Ps 34:10; 84:11; 23:1; Phil 4:19.

8 # God's report says He has not given you the spirit of fear, which torments but of love, power and sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7; Matt 10:26, 28, 31.

9 # God's report says the enemy will not prevail/triumph over you. Deut 28:7; Jer 1:19; 2 Cor 2:14.

10 # God's report says that you are a peculiar person on earth. You are the beloved of the Lord . 1 Pet 2:9.
Indeed, God's report is inexhaustible.
