We are beginning a series and the theme of the series I will be preaching on is KINGDOM VALUE.

We are taking the the first leg today , the one we are considering today from the text we read is uncompromising characters .

For those who are on the corporate world( big companies), there is what we call core values.(things they believe in. What they hold on to) all what they do is Build around those core values. As a business man or woman. You most set values for your business. all that you do around that business must tally with your core value. Some of the core value can be punctuality, respect for customers, so anybody coming to partner or patronizing your business know what they will get because of your values, it also causes your work, your business to expand for the positive because of your values.

Am just giving us this background about values, those virtue that you will maintain that determines how you run your business so she will not be defunct.
We belong to God’s Kingdom and in the kingdom of God, there are some values that are dear to God, the owner of the kingdom, so if you claim to belong to that kingdom there are certain things you most exhibit so those who do not belong to the kingdom can testify and identify that you belong to God’s Kingdom.

From the passage we looking at, there are some metaphors I will be using to explain uncompromising character.

1. Do not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever: verse 14a.
The word YORK is the main message there. What is the York: its a wooden beam used to help carry or pull heavy objects by distributing the weight evenly on both shoulders and can be used by humans and animals a like. So for one of the animals not to over work, they most be of equal size and equal strength.
Don't be unequally yoked with an unbeliever because you are of different kingdom, you don't have the same core value. The kingdom of God core values and unbelievers core values are not the same. so if you are a child of God, God expects you not to live a compromising life, God love sincerity, honesty, straight forwardness. Do not be unequally York with an unbeliever because if they are stronger than you, they can swallow you up or kill you, does this means as children of God we should not relate with unbelievers? No, you relate but you most ensures that the kingdom values you belong is not compromise. A child of God doesn't compromise his kingdom lifestyle because is so dear to them, if you toy with it, the kingdom of darkness will take advantage of it because that is their agenda in the first place.

2. What fellowship have light with darkness: verse 14b.
What is fellowship? Is the meetings of like-mind, to share, reason together, as Christians when we Fellowship, we come come to share and study together as one like-minded people. So how can a child with light (Jesus is the light in us), with this light there's no hidden dark spots , there's no darkness in our life because darkness represent evil and light stands for truth and light was always expose darkness. Why then should an child of God and unbeliever have fellowship together, the key word there is fellowship. Because the fellowship there requires interaction , there is sharing of ideas, encouragement etc. You don't discuss your burden with an unbeliever, what kind of counsel do you expect from them(darkness). They can only speak out of the values they know, hen you give an opportunity to the people of darkness to operate, they will overwhelm you and you will compromise your values.

3. And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Verse 15.
Belial is another name for satan. What relationship has God with satan? When you are fellowshipping with the people of the world , you are likely fellowshipping with satan. because every idea every thing they carry is of world, is of the kingdom of darkness. You proclaimed Christ and most of the time you are always in the camp of those who are not Believers, most of us christians are now certify in drinking alcohols, why would they not influence you, when you didn't influence them with your kingdom values. You compromise their faith because they want to belong, alcohol in the Bible is not a sin but when you engage in taking it, it has the capacity to make you sin, that is why our denominational stand as Baptists is that, don't drink, don't sell. There is no good that comes from alcohol, it can lead you to sin so as a child of God when you see anything that against your kingdom values, you stay away from it.

CONCLUSION
UNCOMPROMISING CHARACTER: avoid fellowshipping with the people of the world, am not saying we should not relate with them. There's different between relating and fellowship. Have explained fellowship. God want you to live a good life of values, we should try every day not to compromise our faith . if we fail to keep mountains our kingdom values, there's a reward for us, there is an ultimate price to be paid. Pains and suffering are inevitable if you compromise your faith to please the world. Every actions of man, their reward start from here(Earth).
I want to ask you. To what extent are you fellowshipping with the world? Verse 17 says separate and come out among them.

Who is the living water? Jesus is the living water. When we talk about living water. We are talking about Jesus. from the passage we read in the book of John 4:9-11. You will see there was a conversation between Jesus and the Samaritan woman. The Samaritan woman was talking about just an ordinary of water while Jesus was talking about the living water which when you take or have that living water, you will never thirst again. You have everything in life. You have everlasting life,
In life, we believe is a journey and everyone on this specific journey needs to know what is expected, What is needed for that journey To be successful. We are in this world for a purpose and for you to achieve this purpose, there are some things you most do

1. Preparation :- Preparation is essential in the journey of life. The preparation is you first of all knowing God. A lot of people miss out of God plan because of lack of preparation, they miss out of God plan an agenda why God brought them into the world.

as we celebrate the young people of the Nigeria Baptist Convention today in our various churches, it is essential for us to consider the " I AM" the words of Jesus. Its very necessary for the journey of faith to find fulfillment and satisfaction in this journey.You need preparation as a child of God. You need preparation as a child of God. Jesus is the only one in our journey Of Life as Christians.

2. They journey of life and faith can be wearisome:- John 4: 3-6. it is certain that in that journey, there could be all kinds of challenges and difficulties that is why we need Jesus. We need to living water. there could be challenges that could worry us for us not to meet up in this journey. That is why you need the living water in the journey of faith and life.

In life, for you to succeed You need the living water. Without the taste of the living water which is Jesus you can't go anywhere in life, ask any great man on earth who God have used mightily, In one way or the order They faces difficulties and challenges

If You go through books numbers chapter 11 Verse 10 to 15,first king chapter 19 Verse 1-5, Jonah chapter 4 verse 1-3. you will see some example of those who were not able to meet up in their journey of life. They are weary, they fall by the wayside because there was challenges in journey. This example should help us to thirst for the living water which is Jesus.

3. The Lord need a drink from you: - John 4:7& 8. The verse 7 of the passage says give me a drink . It's a certain that you he was not really talking about water for the well, Jesus was talking about surrendering. surrender your life to me. That was what Jesus ways referring to. Jesus is saying today that you should surrender your life to him.

when an individual surrender his or her life, there is fulfillment. Jesus find satisfaction in this. Surrender your life even the scripture says heaven rejoices over a repented soul. do you desire that heaven rejoices over you When you surrender your life to Him, Jesus was find satisfaction when your life daily pleases the Lord.

4. You need the drink to survive :- John 4:10-13. Success is all need in our journey of life, success is not possible outside Jesus that is why you need the water to survive. Jesus said "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life".it also help us to witness among the unbelievers, the, gift of God. That is why we all need the living water which is Jesus.

5. The wall of Partition have been pulled down :- jn 4: 9. Jesus is saying in regardless of your color or tribe, He has given us the privilege to come to him directly.
The scripture also made it clear in John 3:16-17 and Ephesians 2:14 -16 that God love all one some, no matter who you are. Christ have destroyed the wall of separation. Jesus have brought us unity , So with this you need to accept that living water. Jesus is saying if we constantly a drink of this living water, our hearts, our home, our society Will experience freshness, oneness, and fruitfulness.

6. Needs to grow deeper in him: - John 4: 10 -12. Jesus said "if you knew the gift" Jesus was say there is always a level of knowledge, level of revelation that we all need even as we grow in the Lord even as we grow deeper in him. There is a level of knowledge that we need as a Christian. Apostle Paul said that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.

the daily revelation that we help you to grow and productive. You knew what you need to know what the Spirit of the Lord is saying, as a Christian. You need to grow deeper in him.

7. Guide against hindrances : - John4: 11 there are many hindrances on our way in our journey of life but as a child of God you need to grow deeper in Him and you need to guide yourself with the word of God.

8. Guide against spiritual idolatry : - John 4: 12 -13. many people in the church are far from the true worship this show that their hearts is far from the living water their heart is far from God. The spiritual idolatry kept them in bo***ge, there is n other source of living water except Jesus.
nothing can satisfy the hunger of your hearts except Jesus if you are going to succeed in this journey of life.

CONCLUSION:

Jesus is inviting us, this is the time. its time for you to be soak so that this water will flow through you to other.

Topic:- BECOMING A TRUE DISCIPLE THROUGH LOVE AND UNITY

TEXT:- John 13:33-35

I want to ask the question, who is a disciple? the answer to that is simple. A disciple is someone that follows the master.In other words, there most be a master for the disciple to follow. Everyone can have a disciple but when it comes to Jesus discipleship, there are Certain things to meet. One of the things the said it in their presentation, is that you most be baptize.

Jesus Christ was trying to make a distinction, he's telling them that there's a difference between the disciple of Jesus and the disciples of the pharisees.
before Jesus disciples, there was a type of discipleship that were Exiting then, the discipleship of the pharisees and there is a way they run there discipleship before Jesus institute his own discipleship. Jesus was telling his disciples that there is a difference between his disciples and that of the pharisees and he was speaking only to his disciples. He was telling them what was happening and and soon he will no longer be with them and they should not be like the pharisees. He warn them that if they want to be a true disciple ,there are things they Most Start doing.

i am giving you a new commandment, a new pattern of living , there is a way it use to be before now but and giving you a new pattern to live, It was a father and sons discussion.
Why was he telling them that, because there was a kind of discipleship that the pharisees operate.

THE WAYS THE PHARISEES OPERATE THEIR DISCIPLESHIP

1. POSITION AND POWER:- Matt 20:21, 18:1. The mother of James and John came to him and ask that his two children be be sited with him in his kingdom, she was not thinking abtractly, she was The telling Jesus that that was the ways The Pharisees do it, they see power above All.
One of the thing that destroy the church is power seeking, it give division to the church and Jesus was telling them what I want unity and love not power seeking because that was what the Pharisees operates on.

2. TRIBE AND RACE:- ACTS 6:1. The bible say " some of the ones who spoke Greek started complaining about the ones who spoke Aramaic. They complained that the Greek-speaking widows were not given their share when the food supplies were handed out each day." this action in acts of the apostles took place after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ which mean they brought with them the old ways of the pharisees and this still happen today in our church, tribal discrimination. Is this how we are supposed to live/do in church? That we select who will associate with? And we have even inculcate this character s into our children. Jesus is saying you can't be a good disciple when you focus on this characters.

3. RULES AND LAWS:- Mark 7:8, Matt 15:2. As a pharisees disciple, you must follow the rules and the law. If you break them, you will be discipline.
They said there is certain way the wash there hand and why is your disciples not washing their hands like that? They came again and said why are you healing the sick on sabbath day? Am not against rules and regulations because even Jesus has his own rules and regulations but the rules and regulations should not be greater than the love. The love should be greater than the rules and regulations, we sometime discipline our children because they go against your rules and regulations, but we allow the love we have For them to caution us, but they there's no love the case is different, we have Heard of how some persons treat their maiden/ward when they broke their rules and regulations, brutal cases. Love should be the forefront of the matter.

4. THE WAY THEY TREAT PEOPLE THAT ARE DIFFERENT:- Luke 9:2-7, matt. 9:20-22, Luke 1:36. The pharisees treat those that are different in different ways, they treat them as if they are not part of the society, if the person is barren, there's a treatment For them, if they have leprosy, they treat them differently. Zacchaeus was cast away because be was a tax collector and he was tag sinner, the pharisees don't want to associate with him because they consider him sinner until he had encountered with Jesus, al he l Wanted was acceptance and love, that is why when he met Jesus, he felt there was no need For the stolen money, he was full of Joy.

5. SLAVERY:- 1 Cor. 7:21. The pharisees believe in slavery, they can take one children For the debt they hold but Jesus broke the law.

6. DIVISION IN WORSHIP:- in the temple, you will discover that the synagogue was divided into four ways.
THE INNER COURT. This place were For only the priest.
THE OUTER COURT:- this is where the Jews men stay to worship
THE OUTER COURT 2 : this where only the Jews women stay to worship.
OUTSIDE COURT:- this is where the gentiles (anybody) can stay to worship .

According to their ranking, the priest is high, follow by the Jews men, follow by the Jews women and then every other person, so in respective of your status in the society, as long you are not a Jews man, you stay at the outside Court to worship.

This thing is still happening today in our churches but are not dividing it according to tribe like the pharisees but we are dividing it according to wealth, there are some place only the rich people can stay in the church and no other person is allowed there, we separating men from women.
Jesus is telling us that there is no need for division. today is children Day we should not divide The children against themselves, let love them equally and care for them in love and unity as Christ have instructed.
Do you think we can love our children the same way? Yes it's possible, let love our children the same way.

Jesus have shown us examples of how we should love. He said you have watch me over time , the way I've love you, that is how I want you to love, but why did he call them little children. He was demonstrating to them to love like children, children keep no offense, keep no record of wrong and they are very Free and filled of love and forgiveness.

CONCLUSION:
The love of Christ supersede of offenses and guilt, the love of Christ is bigger than the situation you are going through. Love and be united.

This message is a series and I want you to follow .

Revelation 3:8 NKJV:
“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name."

I want to speak on this series, "operating on the heavens searchlight. Operating under heaven searchlight is in two ways. Every man that is giving exitance by God is under God's watch.

everywhere we go, there is a searchlight from him Upon every human for which we cannot escape, for which we cannot do something outside the will of God or outside the knowledge of God. Everything we do is by the knowledge of God. What do I mean? There is nothing we do in secret that God doesn't know true or false?

The text we read was where John was actually addressing the church because the church was going through diverse persecution and trouble, persecution that could make them denies their faith, God is not to busy that HE cannot see under his searchlight, You cannot be too many. That He can not see all, is everywhere at a time. That's why He's God , you can not escape His watch.

There is nothing God is not aware of. The first part of the verse we read said “I know your works"

God knows your condition, meaning I know who you are, I know what you are doing.
In the the context in which is was written, it was a context where there was struggle and the people were still striving.
The word "know" that was used there from the Hebrew contest "YADA" is not in superficial level. God was saying through John To the Christian. He was saying there's nothing you can hide from me. He knows our every moves and actions.

TOPIC: Social Dimension of kingdom lifestyle Part 2.
TEXT: Romans 12:17-21 (nkjv)

17. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men17Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.
18. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
19. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
20. Therefore
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
21. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good..

Our response as children of God to every form of challenges in life is expected to motivate the challenger towards expressing God. From Every challenge we experience in life From fellow men, our response should be able to draw them to God not to push them further away from God .
As we face challenge of life as a result of the faith we have in God (we are God children)As people oppose us, want to do many things against us because of our faith in Christ Jesus, as children who belongs to the kingdom of God, the way we respond to those people should be able to draw them closer to God. The gospel we hear today doesn't emphasis this truth about who God is ,some of the messages we hear doesn't not point us to this truth.

HOW ARE WE TO GO ABOUT SUCH

1. DO NOT ENGAGED IN ANY FORM OF REVENGE Vs 17,19-21: from this 4 verses in summary, do not engaged in any form of revenge, from that passage I have three things I picked out.

(I) look out to the good side of the offender . Verse 17. Have regard for good things in sight of all men.every man no matter how wicked he is, there is a good side of him but most of us focus on the evil side of him, bad part of him. Because we focus on the bad part of it, we'll want to pay back at all cost. Also look at the good side. No man is perfect .so before you consider killing that man, Look at the good side of the offender and you refuse to pay back with evil, he will marvel at you not reacting with evil can also win such soul to Christ.

(II) allow God to handle the offender. Verse 19, God is to repay, how he will Do it it's none of your business, God knows best way to revenge the offender, he has plans for everyone, It's not of God for a believer to wish his fellow evil.

(III) extend hand of goodness to the offender: verse19 &20, extend hand of love to them, the coal of fire is on their head, play your part as a genuine Christian. Verses 21. Do not let evil overcome you.

2. DO NOT ENGAGE IN ANY FORM OF CHAOS: verse 18. There are people who are good in creating trouble ,problem, they are perfect in this attitude, so when you see their move, avoid them, don't entangle yourself with them. When you have the ability to avoid them do so, some time, it could be very painful, their attitudes towards us, making us want to react but as a Christian we learn to resist them.

Conclusion

Social dimension of kingdom lifestyle
I said Two things, do not engaged in any Form of revenge, from today in your prayers ,be a Christian, don't promote the kingdom of darkness in your prayers ,promote Christ what Christ came for what He stood for and who He is, So do not involved in any form of revenge and do not engaged in any form of chaos.

As human we are social being, we interact with others, if you see somebody who is always alone, withdrawn from the society, we can say such person has some metal problem, he’s depressed, he’s not normal. The scripture says that (“we are in the word but not of this the world “John 17:15, 16) since we are in this world, we must interact and socialize because that was how God created us. That’s why at the garden of Eden when God created Adam, we are told Adam was alone, He created other creatures male and female Adam was just a single gender so when God look at man and see he was lonely, I need to create a companion an help meet who they can reason together, to socialize and so many other things that can follow so since man could not relate with other animal God then created a woman out of man and immediately Adam saw eve, he said wow “Woman” this this the bone of my bone, fresh of my fresh , immediately there was a connection , psychologically and emotionally, in every aspect there was a bonding because Adam saw the Eve was like him so they could socialize. So that’s how god created us, if we read through Leviticus you will see that god created a community for Himself and he created laws on how the community should live together.

So it’s not surprising how when the writer of Romans had to talk with the believers on how to live together, I will sharing a message I titled “SOCIAL DIMENSION KINGDOM LIFESTYLE”
The essence for us to know that were not just created to live for ourselves, we are created to live for others, we are created to impact the life of others
• Social dimension is redemptive virtue (Romans 12:14, Matthew 5:41-48): In this world we must encounter tribulation. You must do all you can to invite others to Christ. As you socialize, people will step on your toes. As Christians, we have been reconciled to reconcile others. As we socialize people must offend us. We are agents of reconciliation. The power we have as Christians is far better than evil power because you can destroy the source of the evil power. Don’t hate your enemies rather pray for them and bless them. Say well of them
• Regard for others emotional state (Romans 12:15): Encourage and sympathize with those who are downcast. You can share in their sorrow if you can. If people are happy, rejoice with them. Don’t be jealous.
• Regard for others status (Romans 12:16a-16b): Everyone cannot be on the same level. If you are in higher position, have regard for the people beneath you. Humble yourself because God resist the proud and exalts the humble. When we are at the top, mind how you relate with those below you.
• Regards to others opinion (Romans 12:16c): Your opinion can never be superior. An opinion can only be superior when you tap from everyone’s opinion. Everyone’s opinion has a little of imperfection. People would always disagree to your opinion. Be humble and listen. You can never live a life without strife in order to reason well. Be a champion and not a victim.

There are two kind of kingdom, the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan, when you see the physical activities of men, it will automatically tell you the kingdom they belong. We not going to talk about the kingdom of Darkness because we know their activities today you're focusing on the Kingdom of God and we are examining true love
Love is a virtue that everyone who belongs to the kingdom of God is expected to exhibit from the Greek background we have four Kind of Love god expect us to demonstrate this virtue to stand out against the kingdom Darkness
From where we get Roman 12: 9 & 10.
[9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;]
IN OUR EXHIBITION OF TRUE LOVE
1. IT MUST BE GENUINE. Love must be completely sincere, without hypocrisy, must be real. We can pretend to love somebody, it because of what we want to get, that is not love, God knows our hearts, because you are a child of God, you are expected to Exhibit genuine love .
2. ITS SINCERE IN MOTIVE. We all know that no matter what our brother might have wronged us, if we hear a negative report about them, we feel bad about it so we are expected to show this kind of love to our fellow brethren, When you hear something about Your fellow Christians brother. show affection and sympathy,
3. TRUE LOVE PROMOTE GOODNESS. V9. If the love of God Is in you, you will run away from evil and seek only to do what is right, you must do good to promote the kingdom of God,
4. TRUE LOVE PUT OTHERS FIRST. It’s not self-centered. We should others have their way, for every instruction God gave us, he knew we can obey them, so if you are not able to follow God instruction, is your fault .he knows we are capable to carry out every of his commandments.

The life you are living and the place you are today is for a purpose. In that high position you are, God did not place you there to punish those who did not help you when you needed their help. Our main responsibility as Christians is to help believers and even unbelievers. God blessed you so you could blessing to others.
The Macedonia call is a call for help and it requires urgent response. Your little token can save someone from dying physically or spiritually. God gave his life for us so what we going to give God back? (BH.606)
