GOD’S PERFECT TIMING.

Scripture - Psalm 34:4
I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Have you ever felt like your prayers were unanswered? Like you were waiting on God with no clear answer in sight? You are not alone. David felt this as he fled from Saul, unsure if he would ever be free. Hannah endured years of heartbreak as she waited for a child. Yet, instead of giving up, they both sought the Lord with all their hearts—and He answered.

What do you do when you don’t see an immediate breakthrough? Do you hold on to faith, or do you start doubting?

Psalm 34:4 says, “I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.” Seeking God isn’t just about asking for what we want—it’s about developing trust in His perfect timing. Hannah prayed fervently, and God not only blessed her with a son, but with a prophet who changed a nation. David kept calling on God, and in time, he became king. Their stories show us that God’s delays are not denials; they are often part of a bigger plan.

Are you willing to trust God even when the outcome is unclear?

Waiting on the Lord requires patience, but it is never wasted. God strengthens us in the process, teaching us to trust Him beyond what we see. Esther had to wait for the right moment to speak up. Mary had to trust God’s plan even when it didn’t make sense. Every great move of God begins with someone who chooses faith over fear.

So today, whatever season you are in, seek the Lord. He hears you, He loves you, and in His perfect time, He will answer.

TRUTH
(ABRAHAM)

Scripture - Genesis 20:15

And Abimelek said, “My land is before you; live wherever you like.”

Have you ever entered a situation assuming the worst in people? Abraham did this several times. Twice, he journeyed south to another land, and twice, he encountered kings who he assumed would ruthlessly kill him to steal his wife. In order to preserve himself, Abraham lied and told these kings that Sarah was his sister. As a result, Sarah was taken, and Abraham was spared. Our lies often affect those we love most.

Abraham’s lies saved him but put his wife in dangerous situations. Furthermore, it turned out that these kings weren’t such terrible guys. When God revealed to them that Sarah was Abraham’s wife, both kings were outraged. Apparently, they wouldn’t have taken Sarah if they knew she was a married woman.

This is a classic example of a self-fulfilling prophecy born from lies and fear. Abraham assumed the worst and lied to save himself. As it turns out, those lies are what ended up costing him the most.

Truth is the only way to face the world. When we face uncertainty and fear with lies and deception, we create more chaos. We must be willing to accept that living truthfully, even when uncomfortable, is the only way to engage with the world.

Choose to tell the truth today in every situation, no matter how uncomfortable. Instead of throwing a coworker under the bus for your mistake, own up to it. Instead of telling that trivial white lie to your spouse, be honest. Instead of hiding your faith from others, let your light shine. Tell the truth and watch the world around you become less chaotic and more in line with God’s will.

S***M & GOMORRAH

Scripture
"But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt."
Genesis 19:26

All the warning signs are there before you. You know that your sins will wreak havoc on your life if you don’t run from them. Are you willing to flee, or will you cling to your sin and embrace the chaos it brings?

Genesis 19 tells a harrowing story of Lot's escape from S***m and Gomorrah, cities notorious for their wickedness. The angels' visit to Lot and the destruction of the cities is a vivid reminder of the destructive nature of sin and the consequences of a life turned away from God.

It's a stark portrayal of divine judgment, yet we also see a story of mercy and deliverance within it. Lot is warned and given a way of escape, highlighting that even in the wake of judgment, God's grace offers a way out for those willing to take it.

This story isn't just an ancient account of a bad city. It serves as a personal allegory for our spiritual journey. It's about discerning and fleeing from the "S***m and Gomorrah’s" in our lives—those habits, relationships, and situations threatening to compromise our integrity and relationship with God.

The urgency with which Lot is told to flee is the same urgency we must have in distancing ourselves from sin. Flee and don’t turn back! If you do turn back, you risk freezing in place and remaining stagnant in your faith.
