We had our very first revision for the new RCCG calendar year, and it was a truly delightful experience. The highlight of the event was watching the children engage in meaningful interactions amongst themselves as they took on the responsibility of teaching. It was a unique opportunity for them to step into the shoes of their teachers, and they did so with enthusiasm and grace.
Yesterday, as we celebrated Teachers' Day, it was heartwarming to witness how the children divided into groups and exchanged roles, sharing their knowledge and understanding of biblical lessons. The joy they expressed in learning together, and from one another, reminded us of the beauty of community and the power of shared wisdom. It wasn’t just an academic exercise; it was a reflection of the love and support that God calls us to have for one another, especially in teaching and nurturing the younger generation.
This experience brings to mind Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." As the children taught each other, it was clear that the seeds of God’s word, sown through consistent teaching and guidance, are taking root in their hearts. They are growing, not just in knowledge but also in confidence, as they take the initiative to share what they have learned.
In all, it was an inspiring day filled with learning, joy, and fellowship. As we continue this new RCCG year, we look forward to more moments like these, where the young and old alike grow together in the knowledge and love of Christ.
