*"Yes indeed, it won't be long now." GOD's Decree. "Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won't be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once--and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills.

*The Human Conscience*

Romans 2:14-15 (NLT), Romans 13:5 (NIV & NLT)

*Even Gentiles who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right. *Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. *So, you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.*

Conscience is a divine sense of right or wrong that exists in every human being. It is a consciousness and awareness deep down in the heart and mind of every human being that serves as a guide of compass used to evaluate thoughts, words, decisions and actions that are being acted upon. The conscience serves as a check or law in the heart of man. Sometimes, the Bible uses the word heart to refer to the conscience. The conscience can be influenced or programmed, both positively and negatively.

There is a certain level of integrity and moral uprightness that can be produced by the conscience of a man or woman, but the fact still remains that knowing what is right and what is wrong is not a guarantee that a person will always do what is right. The only hope for the conscience of a man is Jesus. Romans 7:5 (NLT) reminds us that the law arouses the desire for sin. The major reason for this is the fallen state of the natural man. Romans 8:3 (NLT) says, “The Law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So, God did what the law could not do. He sent His own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body, God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sins.”
Like the law, man’s sinful nature has great negative influence on man’s conscience. But thank God that he sent Jesus to deal with man’s sinful nature by His death, burial and resurrection! The only hope for the conscience of man is Jesus.

*Prayer Focus:*
Thank God for sending Jesus to deal with your sinful nature and for giving you a new life. Pray for the salvation of others.

*Help the Wounded*

Psalms 147:2-3 (NKJV), Galatians 6:1-2 (GNB), James 5:16a
*The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. *My friends, if someone is caught in any kind of wrongdoing, those of you who are spiritual should set him right; but you must do it in a gentle way. And keep an eye on yourselves, so that you will not be tempted, too. Help carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will obey the law of Christ.*
*Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed...*

As Christians, we must learn how to assist the wounded, not kill them. The Church itself serves as a source of healing for the wounded. It exists to lift up those who are down and depressed. The Church is meant to serve as a place of acceptance for those who have been rejected by society. Don’t turn broken and frustrated people away, exploit them or place even more burdens and weight on their shoulders. On the contrary, lift them up. Set them free. Show them the love of Christ. As they come to you, touch and heal them with the love and power of God. Uplift them and transform their lives. That is the mandate that God has given us.

When the Pharisees desired to stone to death the woman that was caught in adultery, Jesus projected a different attitude towards her. Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more,” John 8:11. Jesus healed and restored her with His love. He gave her hope and the confidence towards a brighter future. He gave her beauty for ashes; a new song.
Do not be an accuser of the brethren. Instead, serve as a minister of reconciliation. Seek to restore and bolster the faith of everyone that Jesus died and gave His precious life for. Show compassion like Jesus did. Do not ignore the wounded. Do not be like the priest and the Levite who saw a man that had been robbed and wounded to a point of near death, but chose to look the other way. Be like the good Samaritan who saw him and had compassion on him; even going the extra mile to take care of and nurse his wounds, Luke 10:30:34. Jesus assured us that when we feed, accommodate, clothe and visit the least of His brethren who are sick or in prison, we are doing it unto Him, Matt. 25:40.

*Prayer Focus:*
Pray for those you know are down and battered. Pray for God to restore and lift them up. Ask God to use you to heal and restore them.

*Raising the Foundations of Many Generations*

Isaiah 58:11-12(NKJV), Jeremiah 1:10
*The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose water do not fail. … you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell in. *See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.*

One major purpose of fruitfulness and productivity is to lay a good foundation and legacy for the future. Many people do not consider the future in their decisions and resulting actions. Many people squander the resources and opportunities they have and they steal and cheat others because they do not think about others and future generations. Some squander and steal the resources of nation or organization Instead of stealing, God wants you to work and to be so productive that you can be a blessing to others. “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give him that needeth,” Eph. 4:28.

In our first text above, God refers to you as a repairer of the breach. A breach is a hole or gap or something that is wrong or missing. Rather than collaborating with others to abuse and destroy the resources and future of organizations and nations, God wants you to root out, pull down, destroy and throw out the mentalities, the systems and the structures that accommodate stealing and squandering of resources. Instead, God wants us to build and plant the mentalities, system and structures that will benefit future generations. God wants us to build things that will outlive us and our generation. We are to leave a good inheritance and legacy for future generations. God wants you to invest in others and in the future. David prepared resources in abundance for Solomon, his son, to build a magnificent temple for God in the future. 1Chron. 22:2-5. Like Joseph, God wants us to use His wisdom to build systems and provide resources that will preserve the future of economies, businesses, families, ministries, education, health, politics, sports, media and every sphere of influence of life.

*Prayer Focus:*
Ask God to use you to repair broken systems and to plant and build good foundations, systems and legacies for the future.
