ABIDING IN HIS HOUSE

SCRIPTURE FOR MEDITATION
Genesis 28:10-19
And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. PRACTICING THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE
Without the consciousness of God's presence, there cannot be genuine worship. Jacob's consciousness of God's presence gave rise to the altar. If you do not operate in the consciousness that God is around and observing your actions, there will be no genuine/real prayer borne of knowledge that God is hearing.

Jacob enjoyed the following benefits when he became conscious of the presence of God:

(1) He received an inheritance from the Lord
(2) His seed became blessed
(3) He and his seed became a blessing to the earth
(4) God assured him of His ever abiding presence
(5) God assured Him of divine protection
(6) God promised him restoration.

You too will enjoy the above benefits and more if you make the practice of God's consciousness a consistent habit.

Pray this Prayer
O Lord, give me the grace to walk with You today in the strong consciousness of Your presence

TODAY’S REVELATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
HOLY SPIRIT, YOU ARE THE REVEALER OF SECRETS.
With you in my life, I have access to vital information that concerns my life and destiny.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God (1Corinthians 2:9-11)

This function of the Holy Spirit is activated by meditating on the Holy Spirit (who He is, what He has done and what He can do), using His identity to praise Him, and speaking in tongues in the consciousness of God’s presence. As you do this, the Holy Spirit’s performance in this area will be activated for your benefit.

PROPHETIC WARFARE PRAYER
REFERENCE: Genesis 28:14- And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

• Thank you Father for your grace for fruitfulness freely bestowed upon my life.
• Thank you for making my offsprings and myself blessings to the earth.
• I have been made fruitful by the Lord that can never lie. Every manifestation of barrenness in my life, come to an end right now in the mighty name of Jesus.
• My seed is a blessing, not a curse. Every character or behaviour in my children or wards that does not reflect blessing, I tear you out of their lives right now in the mighty name of Jesus.
• I decree that I am fruitful in every aspect of life. I am fruitful in the fruit of the body, I am fruitful in business, I am fruitful in my academics, I am fruitful in soul winning, etc.
• I decree that I and they that the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders on the earth. I decree that our good impact must be felt on this earth.

SCRIPTURE FOR MEDITATION
Daniel 6:10, 21-23, 28 (Continued from yesterday)
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

PRACTICING THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE
This scripture for meditation reveals the intriguing story of a man who had implicit confidence in the ability of his God to save him. This was a man who even though he was an honoured Prince and a friend to the king of Babylon, the most exalted and powerful king in the world at the time, preferred to please God rather than please man.

This scripture reveals five benefits Daniel enjoyed as a result of his intimacy with the Father. You too can enjoy these benefits if you make it a constant practice to spend quality time daily in intimacy with God.

(2) Your enemies will have no power over you: And hath shut the lion’s mouths that they have not hurt me (vs 22). When you dwell daily in intimacy with God, He will shut the mouths of all those that are trying to consume you and take their strength from them, they will suddenly discover that you have an immunity to their enchantments. You don’t have to pray against your enemies when you dwell in the secret place of the Most High God, you will naturally abide under the shadow of the Almighty God (Psalm 91:1).

(3) Those that planned evil for you will turn around to help you: Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den (vs 23). The same king that ordered that Daniel be thrown into the pit was now the one seeking his promotion and elevation. When you dwell in intimacy with God, the same people who have been trying to bring you down will be used by God to lift you up, they will suddenly find themselves speaking in your favour.

(4) When you go through dangerous territories, you will come out unhurt: So Daniel was taken up out of the den and no manner of hurt was found upon him (vs 23). If a den of hungry lions is not dangerous territory, then I wonder what is. Daniel spent a full night with dangerous, hungry lions yet he came out of the den unscathed. When you practice intimacy, it doesn’t matter the danger you go through, no evil will befall you, God by Himself will take you through Psalm 23:4.

(5) You will have Sustained Prosperity: So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian (vs 28). All those that spend time consistently in intimacy with God are members of the commonwealth of heaven. Their prosperity is not affected by times and season, they prosper both in good times and in bad times, when men are cast down, then you will say there is lifting up (Job 22:29).

TODAY’S REVELATION OF GOD
Meditating on the personality of God is very important as it gives you access to the needed strength for the expected performance. As you use your discovery of God to worship Him, you will be strong and you will do exploits (Daniel 11:32- …but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits).
Meditate on the following discovery and worship God with it.

THE GOD THAT GAVE ME THE UNCTION TO KNOW ALL THINGS.

PROPHETIC WARFARE PRAYER
BENEFIT OF HIS GRACE: The Lord will contend with those that contend with me
REFERENCE: Isaiah 49:25- But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

• Thank you Father for always fighting my battles and giving me victory without a fight.
• Every power trying to contradict this benefit I have in Christ Jesus, I declare you bound and I cast you far from my life in the mighty name of Jesus.
• The Lord has promised to contend with those who contend with me. Every manifestation in my life that makes it seem like my enemies are winning the battle against me, I stop that manifestation today in the mighty name of Jesus.
• I decree that my life is smooth and peaceful because the Mighty Man in battle has taken all my troubles upon Himself. I am more than a conqueror.

THE THREE AGENDA OF SATAN

The enemy has only one mission: to steal, to kill, and to destroy. Satan fights to corrupt your identity, weaken your faith, and separate you from God’s purpose for your life.

But through Christ, we have victory, authority, and dominion over every scheme of darkness. Stay watchful, stay prayerful, and remain rooted in God’s Word.

The devil has an agenda… but Heaven has already declared your victory.

PRACTICING THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE
Today's scripture for meditation reveals the intriguing story of a man who had implicit confidence in the ability of his God to save him. This was a man who even though he was an honoured Prince and a friend to the king of Babylon, the most exalted and powerful king in the world at the time, preferred to please God rather than please man.

Over time, Daniel had built up the habit of spending time daily in intimacy with the Father, this part of his day was so important that he never toyed with it. At this time, he would retire from all activities and from all friends and colleagues and turn his undivided attention to God. This was an activity that he placed above every other engagements; nothing was as important to him as his intimacy period. His colleagues came to know how much value he placed on his God and they discovered that the only way they could bring an accusation against him was on an issue that concerned his God.

Many of us have worked in offices and lived in neighbourhoods for some years now and yet no one can really say with certainty that we are children of God. We have completely masked this part of our lives because we are not proud of the God that we serve. What a shame!

Daniel prospered in Babylon and was preferred above the presidents and princes because an excellent Spirit was upon him. This Spirit came upon him because he knew the value of spending time daily in intimacy with God. The exploits that he recorded was because he knew his God intimately (See Daniel 11:32).

You cannot hope to live a victorious and successful life when you do not know God intimately. Some of us give an excuse that we have a very busy schedule and therefore have no time to spend in intimacy with God, I wonder if you are busier than Daniel was. Daniel was one of three Presidents that had been placed over the very great and vast kingdom of Babylon and had to report regularly to the king, yet in the midst of all these tasking activities, he still found time for intimacy with the father on a very regular basis. Little wonder then that he found favour both in the sight of God and in the sight of the King of Babylon. He not only found favour, he became a candidate for all the other numerous benefits of intimacy.

The jealous princes planned to bring him down but God over turned their wicked plot because Daniel was a man after His heart. The Lord has assured us in Isaiah 54:15: Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. This scripture came to bare in the life of Daniel.

In today's scripture for meditation, selected verses of Daniel 6, we see five benefits Daniel enjoyed as a result of his intimacy with the Father. You too can enjoy these benefits if you make it a constant practice to spend quality time daily in intimacy with God.

(1) God’s guiding angels will always be with you: My God hath sent His angels (vs 22). God’s angels are always with those that spend time in intimacy with Him, He never leaves them defenceless. In 2Kings 6, the king of Syria sent his army to arrest the Prophet Elisha, it was such a great army that the servant of the Prophet was thrown into panic, alas when God opened the eyes of this servant, he saw that the host of angels that were with them was much more than the host of the Syrian army. When you spend time daily in intimacy with God, no harm can befall you because God will daily give His angels charge over you (Matthew 4:6).

You bring out beauty from every ash in my life. You make every situation I go through work together for my good.
Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest (Isaiah 32:15).

This function of the Holy Spirit is activated by meditating on the Holy Spirit (who He is, what He has done and what He can do), using His identity to praise Him, and speaking in tongues in the consciousness of God’s presence. As you do this, the Holy Spirit’s performance in this area will be activated for your benefit.

REFERENCE: Job 22:29- When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up...

• Thank you Father for always ensuring that my case is different and better than that of my peers at all time.
• Every power trying to contradict this benefit I have in Christ Jesus, I declare you bound and I cast you far from my life in the mighty name of Jesus.
• I am an ambassador of heaven on earth and so only heaven can determine my lot. Every manifestation in my life that makes it seem like my kingdom is no longer able to take care of me, I stop that manifestation today in the mighty name of Jesus.
• I decree that my case is different. I am advantaged in life. When men are cast down, I am lifted up.

THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee...

PRACTICING THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE
The Hebrew word for Knowledge is "dahat" and it takes its root from the Hebrew word for know which is Yada (yaw-dah). To know is to have knowledge. "Know" has two interpretations:

1. Access to relevant information
2. Awareness of God's presence (intimacy with God)

The first know is the one we are more accustomed with. It is gaining knowledge so as to have an edge in life. This is the know that comes to mind when we say “knowledge is power”. When you know God, you will not suffer the deception and intimidation of the devil.

However, the second know is also very important. It talks of an intimate fellowship. For example, the Bible says in Genesis 4:1- And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain… This second know refers to practicing intimacy with God. Practicing divine intimacy is not just relationship but fellowship.

In intimacy you see more and more of God and less and less of yourself. You get so enveloped in the awesomeness of God, and cannot but worship Him from the depth of your heart. Intimacy is you alone with your Maker; no one goes into the place of intimacy with you. It involves separating yourself from others, and creating an atmosphere of privacy, a place where you can talk to God and express yourself without reserve. You must arrange the location of your intimacy to avoid distraction.

The success of your day’s activities is determined by what you gained in your intimate fellowship with Him at the break of that day. The strength to overcome, wisdom for good decisions and all other benefits that will make your day fulfilling is received in your intimacy with God.

Everybody has knowledge of God, but the awareness of God is rare. It is this awareness that takes you into deep intimate worship which will then produce a word from God. It is the word God speaks to your heart during your practice of intimacy that saves you from destruction.

Lack of knowledge brings about destruction. God's people ought not to suffer destruction, but when they do not have knowledge, they will suffer destruction. When you do not have access to relevant information about God or meditate on His personality, you will suffer destruction. When you do not practice consistent intimacy with God, you will also suffer destruction.

Destroy, as used in today's scripture for meditation, is from the Hebrew word "damah". It means the following- to destroy, to cease, to be cut down, to be cut off, to be brought to silence, to be undone.

The English Dictionary explains destroyed to mean the following:
-to be reduced to uselessness
-to take away its power
-to take away its functions

Refusing to dwell consistently in the awareness of God's presence means rejecting God; and from today's scripture for meditation, we are told that all those that reject God will also be rejected by Him.

It is a terrible thing to suffer destruction and also be rejected by God, but unless you begin to dwell in the knowledge of God, you will not escape these sad consequences.

TODAY’S REVELATION OF GOD
Knowledge of God and meditating on this knowledge is the cure for an evil heart. Without the knowledge of God, the heart of man is desperately wicked (Jer. 17:9), but when man’s heart becomes filled with the knowledge of God, it becomes an abode of love. (Romans 1:28- And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient).
Meditate on the following discovery and worship God with it.

PROPHETIC WARFARE PRAYER
BENEFIT OF HIS GRACE: I am a god
REFERENCE: psalms 82:5-6
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

• Thank you father for making me a god on earth.
• Every power trying to contradict this benefit I have in Christ Jesus, I declare you bound, I cast you far from my life in the mighty name of Jesus.
• I am a god on earth with full ability to manifest God’s power over every situation and circumstances. Every manifestation in my life that makes it seem like I am not incharge, I stop you today in the mighty name of Jesus.
• I decree that I am the one in charge and I am operating with authority. I have the final say over every situation that concerns me and my seed.
