Day 5 Excerpts | 21 Days of Taking Over the Gates

Apostle Innocent Abraham dealt with us heavily on HONOUR today and I’m still processing it.

He said 3 things that broke me:

1. "Honour is not verbalised, honour is acted."
We can say it with our mouth, but God looks at our actions. Your obedience, your attitude, your response to instruction... that’s where true honour is seen.

2. "The blessing of God to man is routed through the anointed, and to get the blessings you have to honour the anointing."
God has always chosen to bless people through people. From Elijah to the widow, to Jesus and the disciples. The anointing is a channel. To access what God has sent through that vessel, you must honour it.

3. "If you desire enlargement in every area of your life, honour for the anointed never fails."
Enlargement is tied to honour. Career, ministry, finances, family... there’s a key that never fails. When you honour God’s vessel, you position yourself to receive what God has placed upon that vessel for your life.

And he also reminded us: "Honour shows in your words and reaction when words are sent to you."
How we receive correction and how we speak about the men God has placed over us matters to God.

This is the season of taking over the gates. Don’t let lack of honour lock you out of your blessing and enlargement.

Lord, teach us to honour well.
