THE VISIONARY CHRISTIAN II

MEMORISE:
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:3

READ:
Daniel 10:1-14
1 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.
2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
4 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;
5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
9 Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
10 And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
2 Samuel 11-12.
1 Chronicles 20.

MESSAGE:
Many Christians are impatient with God for the manifestation of His promises, forgetting that there are some necessary steps required of them as we have observed from the Scriptures.

• *Prayer:* Daniel, a visionary prophet prayed for the fulfilment of God’s promises- the return from the captivity of Israel (Daniel 10:1-14).
• *Wait:* Habakkuk 2:3 says what our attitude towards God-given prophecies should be: *“… though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”* We must learn to wait patiently.
• *Believe:* Even if visions and prophecies delay, we must continue to believe because such a delay does not necessarily mean it is false. Daniel 10:1 says *“…….and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long.”*

Never be in a hurry to grab the pleasant promises of God. Faith is required for the fulfilment of His promises. Hebrews 11:22 says:
*“Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.”*

Whatever promise you are waiting for, don’t get so carried away that you miss the benefits the vision carries. You must know the timing of the fulfilment of the vision and when to act upon it.

As a young Bible College graduate, you may have seen a very large congregation in a vision even while in training. You need to ask God what to do, how to do it and when the fulfilment shall come. When a person has not won a seat at the local council and God shows him a vision of becoming a governor, it does not mean the vision in false. The person just needs to locate the time of its fulfilment and patiently work towards it. It took joseph decades to experience the fulfilment of His dreams.

The vision is for an appointed time; wait for it. Its fulfilment will not elude you, in the mighty name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, give me the grace to patiently wait for the manifestation of Your beautiful promises for my life, in the mighty name of Jesus.

HYMN 30:
1. When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

*Trust and obey,*
*For there’s no other way*
*To be happy in Jesus,*
*But to trust and obey*

2. Not a shadow can rise, Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear, Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove
The delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favour He shows, And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, Where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

THE VISIONARY CHRISTIAN I

MEMORISE:
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Proverbs 29:18

READ:
Habakkuk 2:1-4
1.I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Psalm 65-67.
Psalm 69-70.

MESSAGE:
If a Christian is visionary, his/her pilgrimage on earth becomes bearable. It is a clear vision of heaven that will make a child of God see nothing enticing in the present world as compared to the anticipated eternal bliss.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverb 29:18

From the verse above, we can infer that the lack of vision about the reality of hell is what makes people carefree about the coming judgment on the ungodly. If God were to show a person a vision of heaven as Jesus described in Matthew 13:44-46, he/she would do everything possible to get there.

In Habakkuk 2:1-4, the prophet was eager to get divine vision and take instruction even if it required reproof. Fortunately, it was for his good and for those who would read it with understanding. It ended up as a warning against pride (which leads to destruction) and words of encouragement towards faith (which brings justification).

According to Psalm 53:1, it is only a fool that says there is no God. It is pride that makes an individual think that he knows better than God. Psalm 53:2 says it takes a visionary individual to seek God, especially in times like these, when everything seems to be against godliness.

It was a divine vision that ensured Noah and his household were saved from the flood (Hebrews 11:7). It is the same vision that will keep any Christian focused on holiness without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

With a divine vision, we can catch a glimpse of our eternal home like John did in Revelation 21:1-7. If you submit yourself to God, you too would see divinely inspired visions.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please make me a visionary Christian so that I will not lose the vision of my eternal home, in the mighty name of Jesus.

HYMN 26:
1. Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner, It must not suffer loss:
From vict’ry unto vict’ry, His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished,
And Christ is Lord indeed.

2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
The trumpet call obey:
Forth to the mighty conflict,
In this His glorious day;
Ye that are men now serve Him
Against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger,
And strength to strength oppose.

3. Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone,
The arm of flesh will fail you,
Ye dare not trust your own;
Put on the gospel armour,
And, watching unto prayer,
Where duty calls or danger,
Be never wanting there.

4. Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor’s song;
To him that overcometh
A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of glory
Shall reign eternally.

SPECIAL FEATURE FROM THE RCCG OCTOBER 2019 YOUTH CONVENTION.
SUB TITLE: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE ANALOGY ON HIS MATHEMATICIAN FRIEND
Now, since this is a Youth Convention; I feel that I should use the opportunity to introduce you to a friend of mine.
This friend of mine is a Mathematician. And because most of you are in the University and Secondary Schools but some of you like to run away from Mathematics.
But this friend of mine is a Mathematician as well as a Christian too and so quote Bible.
And he thinks that every situation in Life can be reduced into Mathematics Formula.
So, when he was talking to me not too long ago and he said some very interesting things - he is a very funny man. If you know him, you might think that he is a Genius but you might not be too sure.
He was saying something like this: He said that when you put your money in the bank, the bank is supposed to pay you Interest - Is that correct?
He said if you put your money in the bank and the bank does not give you Interest; the bank is a "Thief".
He said that if you now put your money in the bank and the bank does not give you Interest but charges you; He said that the bank is a "Thief Squared" - Do you agree?
He said, if you now go back to the bank and said haha, what is the Problem; I brought in my money, you didn't give me Interest instead you took part of my money therefore I want to take all my money away. And again, the bank take part of your money.
Ah, he said the bank is now a "Thief Cubed"... That is the kind of person that I am talking about so that you can know that he is very funny.
But he was talking to me about something very serious. And he said: *"Jesus Christ was a Mathematician"* and that He is very, very Good in Calculus.
How many of you know a little bit of Mathematics?
Alright, I know many of you will do because we are talking to Youths and Young Adults.
So, I said is that so?
*He said, oh He (Jesus Christ) is very good in Calculus. He said that He gave one of the biggest formula in INTEGRAL CALCULUS"*
And I was wondering where that is in the Bible.
He said that it is in Matthew 10:40.
*That is where Jesus Christ said: He who receives you, receives Me and he who receives Me receives He that sent Me.*
He said that he who receives you receives me is "Single Integration".
He who receives Me receives Him that sent Me then becomes a "Double Integration"... I said I see!
Now, when he begins to talk like that; it is not long before you begin to hear him talk about "Corollary".
*Those of you who are students you know what Corollary is? - Something that follows from what I have just said.*
He said that if he who receives you receives Me and he who receives Me receives Him that sent Me. Then Corollary is that: He that rejects you reject Me and he that rejects Me, rejects Him that sent Me... Do you agree? I think that is a Simple Logic.
*And then he went on to Corollary 2: He says that he who attacks you, attacks Me and he who attacks Me, attacks Him that sent Me.*
Do you agree with that?
*So he went on to Corollary 3: And he said that since Jesus Christ was talking about the One who sent Him (God The Father) and the Bible says in Hebrews 12:29 that God is a 'Consuming Fire'. He said that Jesus Christ is saying therefore: He who messes with you, messes with Me and he who messes with Me messes with 'The Consuming Fire'.*
Ah, I said I see!
Then he quoted again in Hebrews 10:31 that: *'It is a FEARFUL thing to fall into the Hands of the Living God'.*
*He said that the reason why it is a 'Fearful Thing' to fall into the Hands of God is because God is a 'Consuming Fire'. And that the Fire of God burns quietly.*
He said that anytime you hear Fire burning somewhere - if you hear any noise at all; it is not the Fire that is burning, it is the things that the Fire is burning that will be making the noise.
*He said that the reason why it is a "Fearful Thing" to fall into the Hands of the Living God is that God fights quietly.*
That many at times when God is fighting somebody; the Person will not even know until it is too late.
*And he said that one thing about Fire is that it burns irreversibly.* And that there is no Science that can change ashes back to wood.
*That when God fights, whatever He destroys can NEVER be Restored.*.. Tell your neighbour: Don't mess with me.
This is my friend and I will tell you many other things he says in the Future if I have the opportunity.
This my friend loves some Big English. Anybody who agrees with him he will say that Person is Concentric. Anybody who disagrees with him, he will say that the fellow is Eccentric.
So, next time that I see him; if he ask me what kind of People do you talk to? I will want to know... Now those of you who agree with him; those of you who are Concentric - I want you to say Hi.
Those of you who disagrees with him, who are Eccentric - I want you to say Nay... Ah the Hi have it!
Let somebody shout Hallelujah - Hallelujah!

OCTOBER THANKSGIVING SERVICE BY PST. ENOCH.A. ADEBOYE
TEXT: Isaiah 60:1-3
TOPIC: Arise
Arise means simply move to a higher ground.
For someone that is dead Arise will be come back to life. Mark 5:39-42.
For someone sleeping (a state where opportunities can pass you by), arise means wake up.
Luke 22:46.
Arise for someone who's on the ground means stand up and walk. Acts 3:1-8.
When God is saying to you to Arise, it's a command
When Man is saying to God to Arise, it's a prayer.
When God says Arise and Shine, it is a command and It means He will supply everything you need. All you have to do is obey
God says Arise and Shine, for your light is come!
The light comes from God.
When the miracles that would follow you from this moment starts, don't hide the light.
If man says to man to arise or move higher, it is an advice. 2kings 7:1-11.
If you think you are great, ask God to open your eyes and you can be greater still. No matter where you are, God can keep promoting you, from glory to glory.
The only one who can Lift you up from wherever you are and taking you from glory to glory is God. So if you have not surrendered your Life to Jesus, the one who says I have the keys of David if I open no one can shut, you are not going anywhere.
The choice is yours, if you want to remain in shine and stay where you are Or if you will come to Jesus and start going higher.
Prayer: Father, Arise for Him, Defend Him, Cause me to Arise.
