THE GREAT COMMISSION VOICE
By Paul Musa Emuekpere
The “Great Commission voice” refers to the call, authority, and urgency with which Jesus commands believers to go out and spread the Gospel. It is not just words—it is a divine mandate, a spiritual burden, and a living voice that still speaks today.
The Foundation of the Great Commission
The core scripture is:
Matthew 28:18–20 (KJV)
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
What is the “Voice” of the Great Commission?
1. A Voice of Authority
“All power is given unto me…”
This voice carries heaven’s backing. When you evangelize, you are not speaking alone—Christ speaks through you.
2. A Voice of Urgency
“Go ye therefore…”
It is not a suggestion—it is a command. Souls are perishing, and the voice compels immediate action.
3. A Voice of Purpose
“Teach all nations…”
Your life gains direction when aligned with this mission. Evangelism is not optional—it is central to Christian identity.
4. A Voice of Responsibility
“Teaching them to observe…”
It goes beyond preaching—discipleship is part of the commission.
5. A Voice of Assurance
“I am with you always…”
You are never alone in the field. The presence of God backs every step.
How the Great Commission Voice Speaks Today
Through the Holy Spirit prompting your heart to speak to someone
Through burden for lost souls
Through scriptures coming alive within you
Through your ministry vision and calling
Prayer: Activating the Great Commission Voice
Father, in the name of Jesus,
Let the voice of the Great Commission burn within me.
Remove fear, remove excuses, and baptize me with boldness.
Let my mouth become Your mouth,
And let souls be drawn to You through my life.
Give me passion for evangelism and grace for discipleship.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
