*LOVE THE CHURCH FROM YOUR HEART*

*Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood (Acts 20:28).*

The Church of Jesus Christ is the most powerful organism in the world. We’re far more than an organization; we’re an organism. The Church is a living thing, the living body of Christ in the earth. This is why your attitude towards the Church matters a great deal. You must consciously love the Church of God from the depths of your heart.

The Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, describes the Church as that which God *“purchased with his own blood.”* The Lord Jesus paid an extraordinary price for the Church, the price of His blood, His very life. Therefore, to love Christ is to love His Church.

This love must go beyond the walls of your local assembly or denomination. Sometimes, people become so conscious of denominational differences; names, structures, or traditions that they forget the greater truth: we’re all one body in Christ. The local assembly down your street, though different from yours in style or administration, is still made up of God’s people. Love them. Appreciate them. Pray for them. Honour the work God is doing through them.

The Bible says in *Ephesians 4:4, “There is one body, and one Spirit….”* We aren’t rivals competing against one another; we’re one body, one family, brothers and sisters in Christ. When this understanding fills your heart, it’ll rid it of jealousy, strife and division to see and relate with fellow Christians with greater love, honour and sincerity because you recognize that the same life of Christ flows through all of us. What a blessing to belong to the family of God; it’s the greatest family in the world. Praise God!

📖 *TO THE BIBLE - Proverbs 4:23*
*“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life….”*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
Filters are designed to allow only the good parts of a solution or mixture pass through, while the undesirable parts are caught and held back. That’s the same principle the Spirit of God shows us in our opening scripture. Your mind is the door to your spirit, and whatever thoughts or words you allow through will shape your spirit. That’s why you need to screen and filter what enters your heart.

Every day, we hear and see all kinds of information, positive and negative. You need a spiritual filter: guard your heart and refuse to process anything that doesn’t line up with God’s Word. For example, if someone says, “Life is impossible for teens like us,” or you hear bad news about the economy, don’t let those words define you. Remind yourself: *“God has great plans for me, and I walk in His blessings.”*

Use the Word of God as your filter to stop wrong thoughts from taking root in your heart. Whatever life you’re living now comes from your thoughts and words. The Bible says, *“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind….”(Romans 12:2).* Transformation starts with your thought patterns. Reject fear, lack, or negativity. Instead, focus on success in school, relationships, talents, and joy that comes from God’s Word.

Choose thoughts of victory, health, prosperity, happiness, and fulfilment—whatever aligns with God’s Word. Every time you scroll, watch a video, or listen to someone, ask: “Does this encourage God’s truth or plant fear?” Let His Word guide what you accept. Keep vigilant watch over your heart because what you allow in will shape who you become.

When you’re thankful for your day, you’ll feel peaceful, and it’ll create room for more blessings. So, take time to thank God for His blessings today.

*THERE’S A PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE*

*For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep… (Acts 13:36).*

In the Kingdom of God, everything rides on purpose. God works on purpose. Nothing about your life is accidental or meaningless.You weren’t born merely because your father and mother came together and decided to have children. There’s a divine purpose for your life. There’s a reason God brought you into this world at such a time as this.

The most important thing in life is to discover your purpose and fulfil it. A whole lot of people go through life without ever finding out why they were born. They drift through life, distracted by endless pursuits, troubled by many things, frustrated by circumstances, unfulfilled and dissatisfied.

But when you know your purpose, your life changes; you become focused. Your decisions become clearer. Your priorities align with God’s direction for your life. You’re no longer tossed about by distractions because your heart is set on fulfilling the purpose for which God raised you.

The Lord Jesus lived this way. He knew exactly why He came. He said, *“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day…” (John 9:4).* He stayed on course. He wasn’t distracted by opposition, applause, or human expectations. And at the end, He could boldly declare, *“...It is finished...” (John 19:30).* He had accomplished the purpose for which the Father sent Him.

The Apostle Paul had the same consciousness. Towards the end of his earthly ministry, he said, *“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).* What a testimony! He knew when he was done because he had lived with purpose and stayed faithful to the divine assignment God gave him. You must live with that same consciousness. Stay on course until you fulfil your divine assignment.

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
Imagine a master artist who spends years creating a breathtaking masterpiece. If a speck of dust falls on the canvas, does the artist destroy the painting? No! He gently brushes it away because the flaw never outweighs the value of what he made.

Rest in God’s love. Quit all struggles and take advantage of God’s unfeigned and unconditional love for you. Even if life feels messy, maybe you’ve messed up or feel far from God, He’s still saying, *“Rest in my love!”* All you need do is repent and receive forgiveness. Once you do that, He’s quick to forgive you because it’s His nature to forgive.

The father of the prodigal son killed the best calf to celebrate his son’s return *(Luke 15:21-23),* showing God as an ever-forgiving and loving Father. He rejoices when His straying child returns. If you’ve been ignoring God or feeling distant, it’s time to come back. He’s waiting with open arms, not anger. He already took the hit for you through Jesus. All He wants is for you to rest in His love.

Let nothing separate you from God’s love, not even your mistakes. When you receive forgiveness, God receives you and sets you back on the right path. Confidence in God’s love grows as you spend time with Him—talking, studying the Word, acknowledging His work in your life. The more you know Him, the more joy and peace you’ll feel, even in chaos. His love follows you
everywhere. So, rest in His love today. He doesn’t look to punish you; He wants to embrace you.

📖 *...by which He has made us accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:4–6)*

Some children think they must work very hard to be good and kind so that God will love them. But the Bible says we’re saved by grace through faith, not by our own works *(Ephesians 2:8–9).* That means God’s love is a gift. You don’t earn a gift; you simply receive it.

The moment you received Jesus, you became God’s child. He accepted you just as you are. The Bible says we’re justified with God by faith in Jesus Christ *(Galatians 2:16).* So, you don’t have to think you’re not good enough because God loves you.

That means you can talk to Him freely and happily. You can now boldly say, *“God loves me, and I belong to Him.”* Hallelujah!

*THE ETERNAL ELIXIR*

*But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you (Romans 8:11).*

Through the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, God accomplished something extraordinary. He made it possible for us to receive the Holy Spirit. In *John 16:7,* He said, *“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”*

Then, on the day of Pentecost, He fulfilled His Word; the Holy Spirit came *(Acts 2:1-4). Galatians 3:13-14* also tells us, *“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law... That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”*

Notice the purpose and climax of His redemptive work: that we might receive the promise of the Spirit. The ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives is far greater than many have understood. He didn’t come merely to help you carry out certain spiritual activities or occasionally empower you to do something for God.

Consider the blood in the human body: the Bible says, *“...the life of the flesh is in the blood...” (Leviticus 17:11).* Human life is sustained by blood. But when you’re born again, the Holy Spirit takes up His abode in you and becomes the life of your physical body. It helps you understand what the Lord Jesus meant when He said, *“…if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them…” (Mark 16:18).*

You now live by a higher principle of life. As a result of the Holy Spirit living in you, you’re uninfectable. (Romans 8:10-11 (ESV)* further unveils this truth beautifully. It says, *“But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”*

Your body is no longer helplessly subject to sickness, disease, and corruption. The Spirit of God in you means divine life at work in your entire being. You must believe and consciously appropriate this reality in your life and walk in its blessing. You’re born of God’s Spirit and infused with His life. The Holy Spirit in you is the divine essence at work in your spirit, soul, and body. He’s the eternal elixir, the eternal source of life, vitality, and incorruptibility. Glory to God!

*Dear Father, thank you for the life and ministry of the Holy Spirit in me. I walk in the consciousness of your divine life at work in my spirit, soul, and body. My body is vitalized by the Holy Spirit, and I live in health, strength, victory, and righteousness always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*THE CONTINUOUS REFILL*
*(Be Filled With The Spirit Every Day)*

📖 *TO THE BIBLE - Ephesians 5:18*
*And be not drunk with w**e, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
Reading our opening verse above in the Amplified Classic makes it clearer; it says, *“And do not get drunk with w**e, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.”*

The fact that you’ve received the Holy Spirit doesn’t mean you’re always filled with the Spirit. To be filled with the Spirit doesn’t mean you’ve lost your mind, as some people think! It means you’re functioning under the control and influence of the Holy Spirit twenty-four hours every day. That’s how God wants you to live.

Note that you don’t get filled with the Spirit simply because you said, “I’m now filled with the Spirit.” There are things you do that fill you with the Spirit, and they’re listed in the *nineteenth verse: “speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19).* This is how to be filled with the Spirit.

*“Psalms”* are spiritual poems sung or spoken to God in worship. *“Hymns”* are songs of thanksgiving and praise directed to God or about God. *“Spiritual songs”* are prophetic songs that come to you from the realm of the Spirit. Such songs are filled with the Word of God, and sometimes they may come to you in other tongues. Then he says to *“Make melody in your heart to the Lord.”* The melody might be you humming a tune to God while you walk to class or wait for the bus, but you’re getting so blessed as you sing to the Lord in your own heart!

Never leave home or embark on any endeavour without being filled with the Spirit. A good way to get yourself in the flow of the Spirit before a big day at school, preaching the Gospel, or a sports game is to start by speaking in other tongues as you get ready. Before long, the words and songs of the Spirit will well up in you. You can’t be filled with the Spirit and experience sickness, failure, or lack. Your spirit will continually be energised for victory and success every day.

*YOU’RE FULL OF GRACE*

📖 *And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us… full of grace and truth (John 1:14).*

The Bible describes Jesus as being full of grace and truth. Grace is God’s help, kindness, favour, and blessing at work in the life of a Christian. And guess what? The moment you were born again, you received grace from Him *(John 1:16).* That means you’re full of grace, too!

If you need more grace, simply ask the Lord. *“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”(Hebrews 4:16).* So, you don’t have to struggle anymore. There’s grace to excel in school, at home, and among your friends.

So, speak confidently every day: *“I am full of grace! God’s favour is working in me.”* Walk with this mindset, knowing God’s abundant grace is with you everywhere you go! Glory to God!

*LIVE IN THE FULLNESS OF THE SPIRIT*

*And be not drunk with w**e, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18).*

Many have approached their walk with God as though spiritual effectiveness comes only through occasional moments of intense preparation. So, when they need to do something significant for God, they feel they must first “get ready” spiritually before they can function effectively. But that’s not the life the Lord Jesus demonstrated or mirrored for us.

The Lord Jesus didn’t live from one spiritual emergency to another. He lived in uninterrupted fellowship with the Father. Prayer to Him wasn’t a burdensome “preparation” because He needed to minister to people; it was His life. He didn’t have to suddenly withdraw to become spiritually fit each time a situation arose. He lived consistently filled with the Spirit, conscious of the Father’s indwelling presence and power at all times.

This is the understanding the Apostle Paul conveys in *Ephesians 5:18.* The expression *“be filled with the Spirit”* in the Greek carries the idea of being constantly and continually filled with the Spirit. It’s not a one-time experience or an occasional encounter. It’s a way of life.

Some have misunderstood certain portions of the book of Acts where the Bible records that the Apostles being filled with the Spirit, did something. For example, *Acts 4:8* says, (“Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said….”* This doesn’t presume or suggest that Peter was empty at one moment and, because of an emergency, suddenly became filled with the Spirit. No.

The apostles lived under the continuous influence and fullness of the Holy Spirit. Their lives were yielded to Him daily. This is the life God wants for every Christian. He doesn’t want you struggling spiritually today and trying to recover tomorrow. He wants you continually aflame with the Spirit, always sensitive to His guidance, always full of faith, wisdom, power, and divine consciousness. When you’re continually filled with the Spirit, you won’t panic when challenges arise. You’ll respond from a place of spiritual strength and dominion.

How do you maintain this continual infilling? It’s through fellowship with the Word, praying in tongues, worship, and yielding yourself consciously to the Holy Spirit every day. Make it your desire to live constantly under His influence. That’s the higher life in Christ: a life of consistent victory, power, and unbroken fellowship with the Lord. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER /CONFESSION*
*Dear Father, thank you for the blessing and ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life. I live continually filled with the Spirit, walking in constant fellowship with you and manifesting your wisdom, excellence and power. My life is aflame with your glory, and function from a place of victory always, in Jesus’Name. Amen.*

📖 *TO THE BIBLE - 1 Corinthians 14:1*
*“Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.”*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
The Bible says, *“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:4),* meaning that there are several gifts that God imparts to His children through the agency of the Holy Spirit. But from our opening Scripture, we can decipher that the gift of prophecy ranks above all the other gifts of the Spirit that you should desire. God wants you to operate the gift of prophecy.

The gift of prophecy isn’t just for apostles, prophets, evangelists or pastors; it’s for the Church! Every Christian ought to prophesy. To prophesy is to speak forth the Word of God in power, whether by foretelling future events, or as a rhema-word to cause a change in the now! The Bible says, *“But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church” (1 Corinthians 14:3-4).* When you declare the mind of God in prophecy, others are edified, strengthened and comforted.

Thus, with the gift of prophecy in operation in your life, you can never be in darkness as to what steps to take in life. Whether it’s choosing which subjects to focus on, navigating friendships, or making plans for your future, prophecy can guide you. Moses, in the Old Testament, understood the power and importance of prophecy and wished that all of God’s children were prophets *(Numbers 11:29).* But thanks be unto God; now that we’re born again and have received the Holy Spirit, we’ve received the divine enablement and inspiration to prophesy. Hallelujah!

Consequently, whether you’re praying on your own or in the company of other Christians, you can prophesy. As the Word of God wells up in you under that influence of the Holy Spirit, open your mouth and speak forth those words in prophecy. Begin to desire the gift of prophecy. The Bible says the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man (not some but all) to profit withal *(1 Corinthians 12:7).* This means you, too, can prophesy, and you can begin right now! Hallelujah!

*Precious Holy Spirit, I thank you for the gift of prophecy. Thank you for filling my heart and mouth with words of power to cause changes in my life and in the lives of those around me. I declare that my life is for the glory of God; my future is that of success, progress and prosperity! I daily dwell in peace and health, and I experience the favour of God in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE*

📖 *You are the light of the world… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16).*

Jesus said that you’re the light of the world. Light doesn’t argue with darkness—it simply shines. This means when you’re kind, loving, and truthful, you bring God’s light to others.

Your light shines through your words and actions. When you help someone, tell the truth, forgive, or talk about Jesus, you’re shining.

The Bible says a city set on a hill cannot be hidden *(Matthew 5:14).* So, always let your light shine.

The Bible also says, *“Arise, shine; for thy light is come” (Isaiah 60:1).* Let others see Christ in you by the way you live every day.

1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
