*THE PURSUIT OF DIVINE KNOWLEDGE*
Pastor Chris

*Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).*

When you come into Christ, you’re introduced to such divine realities as eternal life, righteousness, your identity in Him, etc. But these realities must be studied, understood, and consciously lived. They don’t automatically become your experience simply because you’ve heard or read about them. You have to study the Scriptures to know more.

There’s a responsibility placed on you to search, to understand, and to live the truth, and the Word of God is truth *(John 17:17).* The Bible says, *“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD...” (Hosea 6:3).* No wonder the Apostle Paul prayed, *“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ…may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him” (Ephesians 1:17).*

This shows that knowing God and His truths is progressive. There’s depth, and you have to constantly search the Scriptures as the Lord said, *“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life…” (John 5:39).* Consider the importance of eternal life: the Bible says, *“….God hath given to us eternal life…” (1 John 5:11).*

If this is the life you’ve received, then it’s vital to understand it, how it functions, and how to live it. The same applies to righteousness. The Word declares, *“For he hath made him to be sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).* These are profound realities that must be studied, understood, and lived from God’s perspective.

Christianity calls you into depth, knowledge, understanding, and application. You don’t follow assumptions; you grow and live consciously by the Word of God. When you study the Word, you’re not merely gathering information but discovering who you are. You’re building your spirit. You’re discovering the life in you and learning how to function in the realities of the Kingdom.

This removes uncertainty, eliminates confusion, and establishes you in God’s truths. You become confident, effective and productive in your walk with Him. Therefore, go beyond sense-knowledge and surface-level understanding of the Word of God. Do a deep study. Make full proof of the life God has given you by knowing more about it, understanding it, and living it every day.

*PRAYER / CONFESSION*
*Dear Father, I thank you for the privilege of knowing you through your Word. As I study, you grant me insight, understanding, and revelation. I grow in the knowledge of eternal life, righteousness, and my identity in Christ, and I walk in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY*
*Ephesians 1:17-18*
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

*Hosea 4:6*
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

*2 Peter 3:18*
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

*YOUR SUPERNATURAL POWER SOURCE*
*(Practise Speaking In Other Tongues)*
Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, DSc DSc DD.

📖 *TO THE BIBLE - 1 Corinthians 14:2*
*“For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
A rechargeable battery may possess the capacity to power a great machine, yet that power remains static and unused until a connection is made. Many systems in the world work the same way: energy must be activated before results can be seen. In the life of a Christian, there’s also a divine way to stir up and activate the power within. One of the most powerful ways to do this is by speaking in other tongues.

Speaking in other tongues is one spiritual activity you must take seriously! If you’ve not been praying this way, you’re missing too much! Paul said, *”I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all” (1 Corinthians 14:18).* He could brag about it because he understood the immense benefits of speaking in other tongues. No wonder he had such remarkable results.

Speaking in other tongues is an important way to accomplish a God-given purpose. It’s a way to *“quick-charge”* your spirit and cause you to respond very quickly to spiritual things. As you pray in tongues, the anointing is stirred within you, and, suddenly, you’re turned into another man.

When you’re born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, the power of God comes to reside in you. This power is triggered or set in motion when you speak in other tongues. *1 Corinthians 14:4* says, *“He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself...”* The Greek word translated as *“edifies”* means *“to construct or to build up, to embolden or charge up like a battery.”* The scripture is therefore telling us that the one who speaks in other tongues builds himself up like an edifice; he emboldens himself and charges himself like a battery.

Speaking in tongues is the solution to fear and timidity. If you ever feel nervous speaking up in class, afraid of the future, or unsure of yourself, activate the power within you by speaking in other tongues; you’ll find yourself dealing wisely and soundly in the affairs of life. Also, if you want to operate in the highest level of faith which you’ve attained, then you must consistently speak in other tongues. In *Jude 1:20,* the Bible says when you speak in other tongues, you’re building yourself on your most holy faith. That means the Spirit of God is able to take God’s Word right into your spirit, where it produces God’s kind of faith.

📖 *GO DEEPER*
*Acts 2:3-4*
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

*1 Corinthians 14:5*
I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

🔊 *SPEAK*
*Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit. As I speak in other tongues as your Spirit gives me utterance, I take advantage of this “quick charge” to stir up boldness within me, operate on my most holy faith and cause changes in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FREEDOM THROUGH GOD'S WORD*
👤PASTOR CHRIS

📖 *And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32).*

God wants you to know His Word because His truth brings freedom.

When people don't know what God has said about them, they may feel afraid or think something is wrong with their lives. But when you learn God's Word, you discover who you truly are. The Bible says you're blessed, loved, and protected by God *(Psalm 5:12).*

Knowing this truth fills your heart with faith and courage. God's Word shows you that you can live above fear and every power of darkness. As you study and believe His Word, you'll live in the freedom and victory God has given you.

*EXPRESS YOUR FAITH*
Pastor Chris

*For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10).*

Faith isn’t passive; it’s something you practice. If you don’t act your faith, it will not work. Faith is more than “believing,” so don’t stop at believing. The Word shows that believing is from the heart, but its expression must be deliberate: with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There’ll be no salvation until you vocalise your faith. And salvation is much more than salvation from sin. It includes all the blessings that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ consummated for us. So, when you receive truth from God’s Word, don’t wait for circumstances to align before acting on it. Respond immediately.

Express your faith by aligning your thoughts, your words, and your actions with what God has said. God’s Word tells you who you are, what you have, and your ability in Christ Jesus; act accordingly and don’t wait for sensory confirmation. The Bible says, *“For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7).*

This means your life isn’t governed by what you see, feel, or experience in the natural; it’s governed by what you believe, and believing must be practised. If the Word says you have eternal life, then you live like one who has eternal life. If it says you’ve overcome the world, then you function from that position of victory.

The Word says you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; make that your constant confession. Faith is expressed in words and action. Don’t negotiate with feelings or circumstances; establish the Word. Affirm your faith. Some people acknowledge the Word but don’t practise it. But faith works through expression. *James 1:22* makes it clear, *“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only….”* Doing the Word is practising your believing, expressing your faith. It brings the reality of the Word into manifestation in your life. It strengthens your faith to produce greater results. This doesn’t mean you’re trying to make God’s Word true; it’s already true. You’re simply aligning yourself with it and allowing its power to be manifested in your life.

*PRAYER / CONFESSION*
*Dear Father, I thank you for your Word, which builds my faith and directs my life. I express my faith today by aligning my thoughts, words and actions with your Word. I walk by faith and not by sight, and I see your Word produce results in my life continually, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY*
*James 1:22-25*
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

*Hebrews 11:1*
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

*Mark 11:23*
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

*IN THE REALM OF LIFE*
*(You’ve Passed From Death To Life)*
Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, DSc DSc DD.

📖 *TO THE - BIBLE John 5:24*
*“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
Across the world, ecosystems can exist side by side yet function under very different conditions. In the deep ocean, for example, some creatures survive in crushing darkness and extreme cold, while nearer the surface, life thrives in sunlight and warmth. Both environments exist on the same planet, yet the life in one cannot live by the conditions of the other. Similarly, human life can be understood as operating within two distinct spiritual realms. There are two spiritual realms of life and death existing side by side, and everyone is in either one of them. Everyone who is born into this world is born into the realm of death (separation from God), and in that realm, there is sickness, sin, poverty and every kind of evil. Then, there is a realm of life where God operates, and in this realm, everything is good.

The Bible says God *”has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love” (Colossians 1:13).* The word *“conveyed”* also means *“transferred.”* When you were born again, you were transferred instantly from the realm of death into the realm of life, and that’s where you live now. It’s like a permanent *“realm shift”* where the old laws of failure and depression no longer apply to you. In the opening Scripture, Jesus said, *“He who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life”.* He didn’t say, “He shall pass from death to life”.

John said the same thing: *“We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren” (1 John 3:14).* As long as you’re born again, you’re not about to be transferred to the realm of life; you’re there already. You might sit in the same classroom as everyone else, but you’re functioning in a different realm. When you realise that you’ve passed from death to life, life will take on a new meaning. In the realm of life, there is no sickness, no death, no poverty, and any such evil thing. Rather, there’s prosperity, life, and peace. Everything that you lay your hands upon prospers, and you’re a victor every day.

*GOD’S LIFE IS IN YOU*
👤PASTOR CHRIS

📖 *…that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature… (2 Peter 1:4)*

When you accept Jesus into your life, a great thing happens; God’s life comes into you.

The Bible says we become partakers of the divine nature. This means the life of God is working in you to help you live a victorious life. Because God’s life is in you, you can be strong, joyful, and full of courage. Remember Timothy in the Bible? He was timid, but Paul reminded him that the Spirit within him made him strong and courageous *(2 Timothy 1:6-7).*

God’s life changed everything. The same Spirit is in you today, helping you live with strength, courage, and joy each day.

*YOU DON’T HAVE TWO NATURES*
Pastor Chris

*Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).*

One of the most important truths about the New Birth is this: you don’t have two natures. You’re not partly human and partly divine. The Bible is clear: old things are passed away, and all things have become new. That includes the old nature. The Bible says, *“Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” (James 1:18).*

You’re vitally born of God. The life you received from Him wasn’t added to your human life; it replaced it. That’s why the Lord Jesus said, *“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6).* Your origin has changed. The New Birth translated you from death to life. Hallelujah!

The Apostle Paul expresses this reality powerfully: *“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…” (Galatians 2:20).* The *“I”* that was sustained by the old life has been brought to an end. What you have now is the life of Christ in you. The idea that a Christian has two natures suggests a constant inner conflict between opposing natures within the same person. But that’s not the picture the Scriptures present.

The Word says, *“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him…” (Romans 6:6).* Notice it doesn’t say, “Our old man is being crucified”; the only thing ongoing is the renewing of your mind: *“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2).*

Your spirit is already recreated in righteousness and true holiness *(Ephesians 4:24).* You’re now a partaker of the divine nature *(2 Peter 1:4).* Stop trying to suppress an old nature that doesn’t exist. *Galatians 5:24* says, *“And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”* Therefore, don’t struggle to be righteous; live righteously because that’s who you are. Live in the consciousness of this truth and your life will consistently reflect the dominion and excellence of Christ.

*PRAYER / CONFESSION*
*Dear Father, I thank you for recreating me in Christ. I don’t have two natures; I have your divine nature in me. I live in the reality of who I am, expressing righteousness, dominion and excellence every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY*
*Romans 6:5-6*
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

*Ephesians 4:22-24 NIV*
22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds;
24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

*LIVE THE GOOD LIFE*
*(Enjoy What God Has Given You)*
Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, DSc DSc DD.

📖 *TO THE BIBLE - 1 Corinthians 3: 21-23*
*“Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come—all are yours. And you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.”*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
Every ecosystem on earth depends on order. When the seasons run their normal course, crops grow well, rivers flow steadily, and animals can find the food they need to survive. But when that order is disrupted, even strong systems begin to struggle. In the same way, life often produces its best results when we live according to the order established by God.

Everything God created was good and especially made for your comfort and provision. That’s why the Word says all things are yours to enjoy! But sadly, some young Christians believe they have to suffer and settle for the lesser things in life. They’ve been taught that it’s wrong to look good, and it’s better to be poor on earth and go to heaven than to be rich on earth and go to hell. Being rich and looking good have nothing to do with going to hell or heaven—including enjoying your youth responsibly.

The Bible says in *2 Corinthians 8:9, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”* Jesus suffered that we might not suffer; He became poor that we might become rich; He brought us out that He might take us in. He tells us in *Isaiah 1:19, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land...”* This means your life becomes enjoyable when you decide to walk in obedience to the will of God. Obedience is an act of submission to the leadership of God.

When you obey God’s command, you come under His authority. As such, He’s empowered to act on your behalf. But when you disobey, you break His hedge of protection around you, and you give the enemy the chance to strike.

Start from where you are and respond to God’s Word today. Be conscious that indeed all things are yours and that He’s given you all things that pertain to life and godliness. Walk in obedience so you will enjoy all He has given to you and made available for you. How much you enjoy life depends on you. Start today!

Before Peter received the Holy Spirit, he was afraid, and even denied that he knew Jesus *(Matthew 26:69–75).* But after he received the Holy Spirit, everything changed *(Acts 2:1-4).*

Peter became bold and began to preach about Jesus. On one special day, thousands of people believed in the Lord because of his message *(Acts 2:41).* What made the difference? The power of the Holy Spirit working in him.

*A CONSCIOUS AWARENESS*
Pastor Chris

*These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life… (1 John 5:13).*

In our previous study, we learnt about the testimony, the witness, the undeniable reality that God has given us eternal life, and *“this life”* is in the Son. Whoever has the Son has life. In today’s study, observe something beautiful about God’s intention: He wants you to be consciously aware that you have eternal life.

That awareness is vital because when you’re aware of a truth, you act accordingly. So, you ought to know with certainty that you have eternal life, not when you get to heaven but NOW! There’s a difference between having something and being conscious of it. You may possess a reality and yet not live in the good of it because you’re not aware.

Think about it: if you’re told something is extremely hot, even without touching it, you’ll handle it with caution. That awareness influences your actions. In the same way, when you become conscious that you have eternal life, it changes how you think, how you speak, and how you live. You’re not a human being trying to acquire the divine life, no; you were born divine, being born of God: *“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13).* It helps you understand why He said through the psalmist, *“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalms 82:6).*

Take a hold of this truth. Refuse to be more conscious of the human life that’s subject to fear, limitations and the elements of this world. The Word says, *“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" (2 Peter 1:4).* The life in you is the transcendent life. When you’re conscious of it, your life will be the proof of its reality. You’ll manifest the God-life naturally, effortlessly, and consistently.

*PRAYER / CONFESSION*
*Dear Father, I thank you for my eternal life in Christ Jesus. I live with the consciousness that I have the God-life now, and I walk in this reality every day. Eternal life in me produces victory, excellence, and dominion in Christ Jesus. Amen.*

*(Grace Is The Power Of Promotion)*
Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, DSc DSc DD.

📖 *TO THE BIBLE - 2 Peter 3:18*
*But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.*

*LET’S TALK* ⏩
Have you ever met someone who just seems to have it all together? Not in a fake, try-hard way, but they just have this *“it”* factor. Teachers like them, other kids want to be around them, and opportunities just seem to fall into their lap. They walk into a room, and the whole atmosphere shifts. You might think it’s luck or confidence, but the Bible has a name for it: it’s called grace.

The word *“grace”* is from the Greek *“Charis”* and it refers to the divine influence in a human heart, which reflects on his outside, producing favour, beauty, goodwill, loveliness and ability. In other words, when *“grace”* is working in your life, there’s just something about you that causes favour and glory to abound in your life.

For example, when the Lord Jesus was a child, the Bible says he *”...grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him” (Luke 2:40).* It made Him, even as a child, to have favour with God and man *(Luke 2:52).* Think about that—even as a kid, Jesus had this grace on His life that made people of all ages like Him and respect Him. In the Book of Acts, Barnabas went to visit certain brethren and *”...when he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all...” (Acts 11:23).* What was it that Barnabas saw? It wasn’t a light beaming out of their heads--He saw the beauty of God; he saw that things were working out excellently in the lives of these brethren.

Grace is the power of promotion; it is the thing that causes your life to move from one level to another, and that’s why the Bible says we must grow in it. The good news is that every child of God has received grace in abundance *(Romans 5:17),* but the degree to which you let it reflect is up to you. The more you fill your heart with God’s Word and have the Holy Spirit work in your life, the greater that grace will shine forth on the outside. You can and should increase in that outward reflection of the glory of God in your spirit, to such an extent that others would take notice. They might not be able to explain it, but they will not be able to deny that there’s just something excellent and beautiful about you.

*SEE YOURSELF THE WAY GOD SEES YOU*
👤PASTOR CHRIS

📖 *But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people… (1 Peter 2:9)*

God wants you to see yourself the way He sees you.

Through Jesus, you’ve become the righteousness of God. This means you’re His beloved child, filled with His life and goodness. When you understand this, it changes the way you think and act. You’ll no longer feel small or afraid. Instead, you’ll live with confidence, knowing God is with you.

Always remember that you belong to Him and carry His nature in you. Think, speak, and live like the wonderful child of God that you are every day.

📚 *SCRIPTURE READING*
*Isaiah 54:17*
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

🔊 *LET'S PRAY*
*Dear heavenly Father, thank you for making me your righteous child. I see myself the way you see me, and I live with confidence and joy every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*
