🍳 BREAKFAST IN BED… BUT MAKE IT LEGENDARY
My wife wanted to surprise me with breakfast in bed.
But not the normal tray-with-toast-and-tea kind of breakfast.
No.
She said,
“If I’m going to wake this man up, it must be unforgettable.”
So she started thinking.
Flowers? Too regular. 🌸
Soft music? Too predictable. 🎶
Romantic candles? Overused. 🕯️
Then BOOM 💡
An idea landed.
That morning, while I was still deep in sleep, dreaming about being a billionaire philanthropist 😌💰, she carried in… not a tray…
But firewood.
Yes.
Firewood.
She arranged small wooden logs neatly ON THE BED (don’t ask me how the mattress survived 😭). She built a tiny controlled “campfire setup” in the middle of the mattress.
And there she sat — cross-legged — smiling like a village chef in a five-star resort.
She cracked eggs into a small frying pan 🍳
Sausages on one side.
Bread warming slowly.
Beans in a little bowl.
The flames flickered gently 🔥
The room glowed like a romantic campsite.
Meanwhile, I was still asleep.
Until…
I smelled smoke.
My spirit left my body and returned immediately.
I jumped up.
“ARE WE UNDER ATTACK?!” 😭🔥
Then I saw her.
Calm.
Beautiful.
Cooking breakfast.
On the bed.
She looked at me and said sweetly,
“Good morning, my love. I wanted to make breakfast in bed… but make it UNIQUE.”
I stared at her.
Looked at the fire.
Looked at the mattress.
Looked at my destiny.
Then I said,
“Baby… are we eating or relocating?” 😭😂
But honestly?
It was the most unforgettable breakfast of my life.
Because it wasn’t about the fire.
It was about effort.
It was about creativity.
It was about love that refuses to be ordinary.
And from that day on, whenever someone says “breakfast in bed,” I smile…
Because mine came with heat, drama, and a possible insurance claim. 😂🍳
