To be called by God is a privilege; to be sent by Him is a mission. Every Christian is first invited into a relationship with Christ before being commissioned to witness His love to the world. God's call is not reserved for priests and religious alone; it extends to every baptized Christian. God equips those He calls with the grace needed for their mission. Like the prophets and apostles, we are sent to bring hope, truth, and compassion wherever we are. Our homes, workplaces, and communities are our mission fields. Respond generously, for the One who calls is faithful and always walks with those He sends. May God give us the grace to be faithful stewards. Amen.

In life, there are certain people time spent with them can indeed be called time well spent. Their presence leaves a mark, and their wisdom quietly influences the lives of those around them. In a world where many voices compete for our attention, it is important to intentionally seek relationships that inspire growth, discipline, and purpose.

Life becomes richer when we walk alongside people who have the wisdom to guide us and the humility to teach us. The right company can transform our thinking, strengthen our character, and prepare us for the future. Choosing good mentors is one of the greatest investments we can make in ourselves. May God guide our steps. Amen.

GOSPEL GIST(Matthew 10:16-23)
Jesus reminds us today that the world into which He sends us to bear witness is not always friendly. The world often mistakes holiness for weakness and innocence for foolishness. Yet Christ does not ask us to abandon our purity; rather, He calls us to combine it with wisdom. Like the dove, we must remain sincere, peaceful, and blameless. Like the serpent, we must exercise prudence, avoiding unnecessary dangers and acting with discernment. Holiness without wisdom can make us vulnerable, while wisdom without holiness leads us away from God. As we witness to the risen Lord in our homes, workplaces, and communities, let us cultivate both purity of heart and sound judgment. May the Holy Spirit grant us the grace to live courageously, wisely, and faithfully each day. Amen.

Icons are not remembered by titles alone but by the lives they transform. Such was Most Rev. Augustine Akubeze, whose humility, kindness, and fatherly heart reflected Christ in an extraordinary way. A wise man once said: “Everyone has a price! That’s why one of the greatest ways to protect your VALUES is not to stay long enough for people to discover yours.” Friend, guard your convictions by knowing when to walk away. Some environments are designed to test your integrity until they find what can buy your silence. Time reveals it and places you on the scale.
