WHICH WAY DO YOU GO ?
There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end is way of death, (Prov.16:25). Obviously, every way leads to a destination except one makes a “U” turn from his.
There is a way to the readers’ home, to his office, school, etc. Some ways lead to fortunes, smiles, success etc. While others could lead to misery, regrets sometimes even death.
Incidentally, the choice of a given way is paired with a specified destination. In effect, there is no choosing a way and leaving out the attendant destination. No it is not natural. If a man boards a vehicle heading for Ibadan from Lagos for instance, the same man cannot expect to alight at Badagry. That doesn’t happen except there is a “U” turn.
In the same token, the Bible cautions “Be not deceived; God is not mocked for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Gal. 6:7). There should be no deceiving one’s self. Please choose rightly if you must reap rightly. You must choose the right way to attend the right destination.
The Lord JESUS said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6) this implies that there is a way to go if any one must attain life and that way is the Lord JESUS.
Secondly, there is only one way to go to GOD and the way too is the Lord JESUS. GOD who is the creator of all things is one Lord. He does not and cannot contradict Himself.
One may want to know if it is compulsory to go the way of JESUS only? What about other religious leaders, you may ask further ? Now read this; ‘Neither is there salvation in any other in which we can be saved for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved’. (Act 4:12).
If any man is a sinner, such a one is on the danger list as he goes the way of sin. His destination is eternal damnation in hell. But exactly WHAT IS SIN? Someone could again ask. Sin is defined as disobedience against GOD. Unfortunately the Bible states; All have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD. This is an indictment to all and putting the on the way of sin and heading to judgment and to hell fire as a destination.
In fact, hell is the most terrible destination for any man to attain. But the irony of it all is that any one that ends up in that awful destination shall have done so on volition :-
Although GOD is very Holy and righteous and hates sin absolutely yet he has in HIS kindness made a way out.
Read this more “For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten son that whosoever believers in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16)
If JESUS had suffered and died for his sin again. JESUS is the way that leads to the destination of eternal life and peace with GOD. You only need to repent and accept JESUS as your own LORD and SAVIOUR. Repenting simply means saying in sincerity that you are sorry for any evil you may have done against GOD and taking a decision not to go back to those things.
One that is done from the heart, GOD forgives cleanses and removes the tag of condemnation from the individual then his journey is turned. The penitent is now on his way of salvation heading for the kingdom of GOD and eternal life as his new destination.
Dear friend why wouldn’t you gap the opportunity to walk in the way that leads to life; I encourage you to do so today and you will will be glad you did.
