ISAIAH 25:9. WE WILL WAIT UPON THE LORD!
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is Jehovah; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Verse Thoughts
The day of the Lord is fast approaching when God is once again going to finalise His plans and purposes for the world through His chosen people. In that day the nation of Israel will repent of their sin, recognize their folly, return to the Lord God of their fathers and call out to their Messiah for salvation.
They will cry out in glorious unison: "blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest". The people will call for Jesus to save them and in that day they will cry out with one voice, "Lo, this is our God. We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is Jehovah. We have waited for Him and we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation".
Part of the message Isaiah proclaimed to Israel was one of sin and judgement.. which was fulfilled at Christ's first coming, but another part was a message of hope and restoration which will be played out on the His second coming. (When Is Coming To Take His Saints Home)
Although unbelieving Israel has had to go through centuries of chastening because of their sin and will also have to endure the coming Time of Jacob's Trouble, a day is coming when the redeemed of Israel will finally realise their fault, repent of their sin, recognise their Messiah and be ushered into the presence of the Lord their God.
Today Israel is blinded in part to the truth of the gospel of God, because they did not recognize the day of their visitation, but a day is coming when the scales will drop from their eyes and they will call on the name of Jesus, and 'all Israel will be saved". The time is fast approaching when they will recognize Jesus as the One Who was wounded for their transgression and pierced for their iniquity, and they will mourn for their sin.
A day is coming when they will proclaim Him as their promised Messiah and cry out together, "Lo, this is our God, we have waited for him and he will save us." On that day the whole believing remnant of Israel will be delivered from the wrath of God.. and it will happen in the final days of the coming tribulation.. the 70th week of Daniel - that terrible time of Jacob’s trouble.
One reason for the coming Tribulation period, is because God is holy and He is righteous.. and sin must be punished. But another reason is to restore Israel back into a right relationship with Himself. Today Israel is back in the land - in unbelief. Today Israel is a nation of unbelievers, but one day they will say, "this is Jehovah. We have waited for Him and we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation." A day is coming when God will remove the veil that has shrouded the eyes of His chosen people, ever since they cried out: "we will not have this Man to rule over us."
For the time being, we in this age of grace, and all who have recognised the Lord Jesus as our God and Saviour, both Jew and Gentile alike, are part of Christ’s mystic body, (i.e. the Church). By grace, we have been saved from the wrath to come and we rejoice in our salvation have already benefited from Christ’s finished work on Calvary.
It was for love of Israel that Christ was sent by His Father as the Passover Lamb - the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world. It was for love of the world that God sent His beloved Son to earth to be the sacrifice for our sin.. so that whoever believes in Him might not perish but have everlasting life. It was also for love of the Church, which is His body, that the Lord Jesus willingly gave up His life, so that she might be set apart, perfected and changed into His likeness, through a lifelong process of 'sanctification'.
This same Jesus Who was taken into heaven to prepare a place for His bride, is to return in the clouds, and receive her unto Himself. No matter what life's circumstances throw at us and however difficult our problems may be, we have His great assurance and promise that He will be with us throughout life's journey, that He is coming soon.. and that He is anticipating His return as eagerly as we look forward to His soon arrival.
It was for the joy that was set before Him that the Lord Jesus endured the cross and it is with hopeful expectation and joyful anticipation that we wait for His any-day return, when He will take us to be with Himself forever - and how we rejoice in our sure salvation.
We wait for a Saviour, Whom we know personally, to come in the clouds, with the trump of God and the voice of the archangel. He is coming to takes us to the place that He has prepared for us, for which we praise His holy name. And at the same time, Israel waits for their God and Messiah to return to the earth, to rescue them from their enemies and to set up His millennial rule in Jerusalem, when they will say "Lo, this is our God, we have waited for Him and He will save us. This is Jehovah and we have waited for Him. We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation".
However, it is worthy of note that before the collective RAPTURE, Individualistic Take Home will be taking place when individual answer the call of the almighty God before the return of the Lord Jesus. Therefore Work Out Your Salvation Because The Days Are Evil.

Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent, I ask you to forgive me.
I believe that you died on the cross for me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to you. From this day forward, help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases
I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.
