When we say the name of the lord we come in the person of Christ.
The first rule to the use of the name of Jesus is that you must Hallow the name because it is holy.
one's prayers can be sweet but God is not in it. Ex. 20:7 "thou shalt not take the name of the lord thy God in vain"
There is salvation in the name of the lord, acts 2:22 "whoever calls on the name of the lord shall be saved"
The release of the spirit of God is what makes your prayer in his name potent and powerful.

The name of Jesus is the authority that backs up a believer. it is the signature that guarantees the petition of a believer.
The name of Jesus is not only powerful by mentioning it alone. Talking about Jesus is talking about the totality of what the name represents.
Today we shout and call the name of Jesus but knees are not bowing neither tongues confessing because we are not coming actually in the name of Jesus.
