DAILY SHOWER October 21, 2023 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:
_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I am so happy for another great opportunity You gave me to prove to the devil that You remain my great God. Please, forgive my trespasses, provide me with all I need to grow and excel in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: God will continue to deliver us
Text: 2 Corinthians 1:2-11 (NIV):

1:2. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
1:4. who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
1:5. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
1:6. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.
1:7. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
1:8. We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.
1:9. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
1:10. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us,
1:11. as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many."

SHOWER (Reflection):
God will always comfort His people not matter the conditions and situation of life. He has delivered us before. Therefore, it will not be difficult for Him to deliver us again. We just need to be hopeful, persevere and move on with faith undiluted. We just need to help or assist one another with prayers and thanksgiving. God will never forsake us.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, comfort me today so that the world will know you are in existence in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, any man or woman that will tempt me this weekend shall be consumed by fire of God, in Jesus name, amen.

3. The anointing of God that gives out riches and add no sorrow, fall upon my life now, in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: God of the needy
Text: Psalm 113: 1-9 (NIV):

"113:1. Praise the LORD. Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.
113:2. Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore.
113:3. From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.
113:4. The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.
113:5. Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high,
113:6. who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?
113:7. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
113:8. he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people.
113:9. He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD."

SHOWER (Reflection):
Our God is most trusted in time of needy. Once you call on Him, He answers. Even a barren woman He listens to her prayers and grants her heart desires. Come to Him today and He will grant you your needs. We must praise Him for starting the week with us and sustaining it to this Friday.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. I praise You O God for the needy. May Your name be praised forever in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Because you are my father, O God, as I praise You today, this day shall not pass me by without a blessing that will surprised the world, in Jesus name, amen.

3. Terminate all lives and spirits that want to terminate my life today, in Jesus name, Amen.

DAILY SHOWER October 15, 2023 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

TODAY’S TOPIC: Commitment and Praises
Text: 1 King's 8:54-65 (NIV):

"8:54. When Solomon had finished all these prayers and supplications to the LORD, he rose from before the altar of the LORD, where he had been kneeling with his hands spread out toward heaven.
8:55. He stood and blessed the whole assembly of Israel in a loud voice, saying:
8:56. "Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.
8:57. May the LORD our God be with us as he was with our fathers; may he never leave us nor forsake us.
8:58. May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep the commands, decrees and regulations he gave our fathers.
8:59. And may these words of mine, which I have prayed before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and night, that he may uphold the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel according to each day's need,
8:60. so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God and that there is no other.
8:61. But your hearts must be fully committed to the LORD our God, to live by his decrees and obey his commands, as at this time.
8:62. Then the king and all Israel with him offered sacrifices before the LORD.
8:63. Solomon offered a sacrifice of fellowship offerings to the LORD: twenty-two thousand cattle and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep and goats. So the king and all the Israelites dedicated the temple of the LORD.
8:64. On that same day the king consecrated the middle part of the courtyard in front of the temple of the LORD, and there he offered burnt offerings, grain offerings and the fat of the fellowship offerings, because the bronze altar before the LORD was too small to hold the burnt offerings, the grain offerings and the fat of the fellowship offerings8:65. So Solomon observed the festival at that time, and all Israel with him--a vast assembly, people from Lebo Hamath to the Wadi of Egypt. They celebrated it before the LORD our God for seven days and seven days more, fourteen days in all.

SHOWER (Reflection):
It is always right to have a day or more for praising God alone. It is also good to show commitment towards His calls or cause. King Solomon after winning many battles and other crowns, knelt down to praise God for great things He has done. This proves loyalty, commitment, respect and thankful to the giver of life. God has done many things to us but we often neglect or forget them. Let us learn to praise Him because that all He demands from us and He can even do without us but can't do without Him.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. I praise You all God for Your common and common Goodwill towards me. I thank You, I thank You, I thank You in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God my father, as I praise You today, release more of your blessing upon me in Jesus name, amen.

3. As I step into a new week today, I shield myself in the precious blood of Jesus Christ to do exploit and escape the kindom of darkness in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be bold and outspoken
Text: Acts 24:10-21 (NIV):

"24:10. When the governor motioned for him to speak, Paul replied: "I know that for a number of years you have been a judge over this nation; so I gladly make my defense.
24:11. You can easily verify that no more than twelve days ago I went up to Jerusalem to worship.
24:12. My accusers did not find me arguing with anyone at the temple, or stirring up a crowd in the synagogues or anywhere else in the city.
24:13. And they cannot prove to you the charges they are now making against me.
24:14. However, I admit that I worship the God of our fathers as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that agrees with the Law and that is written in the Prophets,
24:15. and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.
24:16. So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.
24:17. "After an absence of several years, I came to Jerusalem to bring my people gifts for the poor and to present offerings.
24:18. I was ceremonially clean when they found me in the temple courts doing this. There was no crowd with me, nor was I involved in any disturbance.
24:19. But there are some Jews from the province of Asia, who ought to be here before you and bring charges if they have anything against me.
24:20. Or these who are here should state what crime they found in me when I stood before the Sanhedrin--
24:21. unless it was this one thing I shouted as I stood in their presence: 'It is concerning the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you today.'"

SHOWER (Reflection):
When you are serving a living God, devote time and all you have for Him. Do not express fear or shivering because of whatever happening around you. Paul was able to defend Him amidst persecutions. Because he summoned the courage for that, God shielded and protected him all through. What God wants us to learn from this is that He does not forgot or abandon His own like politicians do.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, give me courage and protection to serve You, in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I am an overcomer amidst all the challenges in Jesus name, amen.

3. My father in the heaven, empower me to conquer and reap the fruits of my labour this week, in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Praise the God of wisdom
Text: Psalm 111:1-10 (NIV):

"111:1. Praise the LORD. I will extol the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.
111:2. Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
111:3. Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.
111:4. He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
111:5. He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.
111:6. He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations.
111:7. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.
111:8. They are steadfast for ever and ever, done in faithfulness and uprightness.
111:9. He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever--holy and awesome is his name.
111:10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise."

SHOWER (Reflection):
Praises is an act of happiness, love and joy. You cannot praise praise when you are not happy. Generally, it is hard to praise an oppressor but someone whose works are excellence and worth it. Our God has more than this attributes. He is a wise God that gives out wisdom and wealth to all. May His name alone be praised in Jesus name, amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, I praise you for making me to be living among the living today. Please help me to remain focus in You in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I have overcome devil and his agents this week. I will rise from grace to grace in Jesus name, amen.

3. My father in the heaven, empower me to conquer and reap the fruits of my labour this week, in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: You are God tool for special purpose
Text: 2 King 11:12-21 (NIV):

"11:12. Jehoiada brought out the king's son and put the crown on him; he presented him with a copy of the covenant and proclaimed him king. They anointed him, and the people clapped their hands and shouted, "Long live the king!"
11:13. When Athaliah heard the noise made by the guards and the people, she went to the people at the temple of the LORD.
11:14. She looked and there was the king, standing by the pillar, as the custom was. The officers and the trumpeters were beside the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets. Then Athaliah tore her robes and called out, "Treason! Treason!"
11:15. Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of units of a hundred, who were in charge of the troops: "Bring her out between the ranks and put to the sword anyone who follows her." For the priest had said, "She must not be put to death in the temple of the LORD."
11:16. So they seized her as she reached the place where the horses enter the palace grounds, and there she was put to death.
11:17. Jehoiada then made a covenant between the LORD and the king and people that they would be the LORD'S people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people.
11:18. All the people of the land went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the altars and idols to pieces and killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars. Then Jehoiada the priest posted guards at the temple of the LORD.
11:19. He took with him the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, the guards and all the people of the land, and together they brought the king down from the temple of the LORD and went into the palace, entering by way of the gate of the guards. The king then took his place on the royal throne,
11:20. and all the people of the land rejoiced. And the city was quiet, because Athaliah had been slain with the sword at the palace.
11:21. Joash was seven years old when he began to reign.

SHOWER (Reflection):
Our God is not the type that is short of funds or people to execute projects for. Once He wants to dethrone or crown a king, He does that with ease, and less a second. Athaliah with all his pride and arrogance was pulled down without a waste of time, and a seven year old king was crowned. This message should inspire us to always make ourselves available for works of God. He can choose you the 'illiterate, poor, stammarer, lame, adolescent, etc...' Just make yourself available and you won't regret serving God because His blessing comes without sorrow.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, I am available today. Please, crown me to serve You big in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I withstand against every evil authority on assignment to pull me down, in Jesus name, amen.

3. Today is my day to celebrate. I must celebrate in every area of my life, in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Winning souls amidst squabbles
Text: Acts 21:10-20 (NIV):

"21:10. After we had been there a number of days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.
21:11. Coming over to us, he took Paul's belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said, "The Holy Spirit says, 'In this way the Jews of Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.'"
21:12. When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.
21:13. Then Paul answered, "Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."
21:14. When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said, "The Lord's will be done."
21:15. After this, we got ready and went up to Jerusalem.
21:16. Some of the disciples from Caesarea accompanied us and brought us to the home of Mnason, where we were to stay. He was a man from Cyprus and one of the early disciples.
21:17. When we arrived at Jerusalem, the brothers received us warmly.
21:18. The next day Paul and the rest of us went to see James, and all the elders were present.
21:19. Paul greeted them and reported in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
21:20. When they heard this, they praised God. Then they said to Paul: "You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous for the law."

SHOWER (Reflection):
When you have passion for what you do, you can even do more not minding what is happening around you. Brethren, today, Paul displayed his passion for working for Christ. This should drive us to take positive action always. Never you use because of persecutions, temptations or want to forget Jesus. We know it is a difficult task as Paul already see or heard what could happen to him yet he went on. We can what became of it in subsequent verses where the same God set him free from prison. That is to show you that Christ does not forgot. He is always with us, and will never put us to shame.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, give me the spiritual stamina that can change the world for good. In Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God, my father, I stand by Your authority to possess every good things deposited for me today in Jesus name, amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I command every satanic forces against me to be destroyed so that I must remain free in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Allow God live in You
Text: 1 Corinthians 15:20-30 (NIV):

15:20. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
15:21. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
15:22. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
15:23. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.
15:24. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.
15:25. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
15:26The last enemy to be destroyed is death..
15:27. For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.
15:28. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.
15:29. Now if there is no resurrection, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them?
15:30. And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every hour?

SHOWER (Reflection):
Open your heart, free your mind, allow Jesus Christ to live in you. When Christ lives in you everything around you will give glory to God, you will be hungry and thirsty for Him.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, we have come close to end of this week. Remember me now by fire in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I recover all i have lost in life, in Jesus name, amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Management of people
Text: Mark 14:1-10 (NIV):

14:1. Now the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were only two days away, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some sly way to arrest Jesus and kill him.
14:2. "But not during the Feast," they said, "or the people may riot."
14:3. While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of a man known as Simon the L***r, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head.
14:4. Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, "Why this waste of perfume?
14:5. It could have been sold for more than a year's wages and the money given to the poor." And they rebuked her harshly.
14:6. "Leave her alone," said Jesus. "Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me.
14:7. The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me.
14:8. She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial.
14:9. I tell you the truth, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."
14:10. Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them."

SHOWER (Reflection):
Management is a leadership position or assignment giving to us over ourselves, people and other things around us. God is given us an additional task today to take good care of or lead the people around us very well. First on the list, is God. God wants us to take care of ourselves in a way that it will glorify Him. That was why the woman, in this passage, did not only gave out her only costly oil but used her hair which supposed to be the most valuable asset , in cleaning Jesus. How much do you love God? What can you do to prove it? Another lesson from this passage, is giving to the poor, downtrodden, and vulnerable in society. Jesus is telling us that we must give out to them always. They are here for us to take good care of them. How do you carry on your charity works? You must also be at alert knowing the enemy is never at rest or drawing back on dealing with you.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. No matter what the enemy wants or say, I must volunteer my services to God and man to win the crown of eternity in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise, puncture the enemy wherever it stands watching and angling to pull me down, Jesus name, amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I am unstoppable this month, my destined blessings must be upon me in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be watchful but stand firm
Text: Mark 13:8-17 (NIV):

13:8. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.
13:9. "You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
13:10. And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.
13:11. Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
13:12. "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.
13:13. All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
13:14. "When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation' standing where it does not belong--let the reader understand--then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
13:15. Let no one on the roof of his house go down or enter the house to take anything out.
13:16. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak.
13:17. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!"

SHOWER (Reflection):
Greetings, brethren. Welcome to a new and brightest month of October. Considering our today's message, we are encouraging you not to shake or wonder about the happenings of the world today. But be firm and watchful for the end time is near. God, Almighty has assured us that He will always be with us amidst joy and pain. The month of October will be of immense blessing to us despite the challenges. Get set and ready to enjoy a divine bomber harvests.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Seek spiritual gifts
Text: 1 Corinthians 14:1-10 (NIV):

14:1. Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.
14:2. For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.
14:3. But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.
14:4. He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
14:5. I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified.
14:6. Now, brothers, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction?
14:7. Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes?
14:8. Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?
14:9. So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.
14:10. Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning."

SHOWER (Reflection):
Do not rest until you get spiritual gifts. They are given freely by God to those who desire them. But the most important thing is using them for the sure purpose God wanted you to make use of them. God wants us to use whatever gift given to us to worship Him through evangelism, charity and living a righteous life.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, lift me higher above my equals in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Because You live O God, I shall not die but live to showcase God's goodness in my life, in Jesus name, amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Focus on the message not the multitude
Text: Acts 17:2-11(Amplified):

2. And Paul entered, as he usually did, and for three Sabbaths he reasoned and argued with them from the Scriptures,
3. Explaining [them] and [quoting passages] setting forth and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead, and saying, This Jesus, Whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ (the Messiah).
4. And some of them [accordingly] were induced to believe and associated themselves with Paul and Silas, as did a great number of the devout Greeks and not a few of the leading women.
5. But the unbelieving Jews were aroused to jealousy, and, getting hold of some wicked men (ruffians and rascals) and loungers in the marketplace, they gathered together a mob, set the town in an uproar, and attacked the house of Jason, seeking to bring [Paul and Silas] out to the people.
6. But when they failed to find them, they dragged Jason and some of the brethren before the city authorities, crying, These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also,
7. And Jason has received them to his house and privately protected them! And they are all ignoring and acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, [actually] asserting that there is another king, one Jesus!
8. And both the crowd and the city authorities, on hearing this, were irritated (stirred up and troubled).
9. And when they had taken security [bail] from Jason and the others, they let them go.
10. Now the brethren at once sent Paul and Silas away by night to Beroea; and when they arrived, they entered the synagogue of the Jews.
11. Now these [Jews] were better disposed and more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they were entirely ready and accepted and welcomed the message [concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal salvation in the kingdom of God] with inclination of mind and eagerness, searching and examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

SHOWER (Reflection):
Sometimes we get discouraged or carried away due to the happenings around us. I preached but they did not listen to me or whatever should not be why you quitted. Just keep pushing because God will show mercy to whom He wished to show mercy to. You can see from our today's message that God will always make a way for His children. Whenever people hate you, keep pushing and you will surely see others who love you as well.
