"Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore You as the one who is over all things." Vs. 11

We are not to be thankful only because of the blessings we received from God last year, but that we are alive to see a new year. From our opening scripture, our brother David took time to appreciate the great God who owns everything. He knew that life is all about God and allowed nothing to stop him from appreciating God. Remember, many people could not make it into this year, but God's grace saw you through. A grateful heart brings about an expectant heart. You cannot be hopeful about the future without being thankful for the past and grateful for the present. Painful life blows and losses might have recently made one to think that God's Word only works for a certain group of people. God has a timing and His ways and methods of solving problems are quite different. Therefore, today, take out time to appreciate Him for being so faithful.

Hurray! So we made it at last into 2024. What a surprise that after all the near deaths, all the heart breaks, all the sicknesses, all the bankruptcy, all the uncertainties, all that the devil used to try to keep us down that we beheld this new year 2024?

Oh what a faithful God. But for His grace, we would have been consumed. That one made it into another year is a miracle because just a second to this new year, someone passed on. Therefore, refuse to live in regret of all that you desired to achieve in 2023 that you could not achieve. As long as there is life, there is hope. Remember, like I always say, this is a brand- new year not an extension of last year. This is that year you have been waiting for, the year you will always make reference to. My beloved reader, you are highly welcome to the year according to the leading of the Holy Spirit, the year of Standing Strong, Winning and Flourishing.

Over the years, God has brought every year's proclamations to fulfilment. Last year was awesome; this year shall be something else because this year is our Year of STANDING STRONG, WINNING AND FLOURISHING.

I feel very excited in my spirit because as I look into this year, I can see success, victory, and glory, shout Hallelujah. As far as your eyes can see, that you shall possess. Dream big this year for it shall surely come to pass.

I stand strong no matter what I face, I win every battle because I fight from the point of victory. I flourish like the tree of Lebanon because I have the Spirit of God inside of me. Hallelujah.

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the word was God. So, It's necessary to begin this year with God, as you go on a journey of Standing Strong, Winning and Flourishing through out this year. Congrats for having a Godly beginning.

*TUESDAY NOVEMBER 14*

*QUIT COMPLAINING, GIVE THANKS*

*Daily Reading: Psalm 136: 1-6*
"O give thanks unto the Lord for he is good, for his mercy endureth forever." vs. 1

Today, let us think about this life. Most times one looks up to the high and mighty only and wishes he should be like them without knowing that life is not like that. As one looks up to them, also look down. One may realize that his case is not worse off. Many people are so full of complaints. You usually hear them making statements like this "look at me, my mates are in this or that position, they are doing this or that, can't you see they have achieved so much." "They are higher than me." "Some that started before me are now receiving better salaries than me, see my classmate, see my counterparts; see my colleagues they have all progressed more than me." Sometimes some even ask God such questions like; "Lord why me, why are you leaving me to suffer all these shames." Must I suffer before I get any good thing in life?..... One keeps bombarding God with so many "why" questions. One keep comparing oneself to others. My beloved reader, look down so that you can see those you are better than. Honestly, there are some people you are better than. If we can put them on a scale, you will find out that out of 100, you are the 40th person so you are better than 60, you have 60 people behind you therefore refuse to be so crowded with ingratitude that you can't see God's mercies. Those behind you have not even gotten where you are. After all, some have not gotten a car, a family or flat to live in, some sleep under the bridges, thatched houses; uncompleted buildings but at least you have a shelter over your head. One night, take a ride out and see where your fellow human beings spend their night every day. Maybe one is complaining about one sickness or the other. Have you ever considered that some are so bedridden that they can't do anything again with their lives but your sickness is not like that.

Finally, some of your mates are dead but you are still alive. You have a lot to say thank you to God. Pause for a while and know that if you had died, you wouldn't be complaining.

According to the word of God as it is Written in Isaiah 40:4 that, Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain.
The Omnipotent God shall visit you today and this prophecy shall find full expression in your life and that of your family in Jesus mighty name.
God will meet you at the point of your needs, problems will be solved, worries will be taken away and you will testify to the goodness of God in Jesus Name Amen.

*YOU MUST NOT HAVE YOUR WAY*

I will want us to look at another side of appreciation and thanksgiving. Some people feel that they must get what they want from God no matter what. For instance, some have felt that their children should have gotten admission into the higher schools of their choices but have not. To them God has failed them, but they forget to understand that it is God's grace that has made their children sensible and not imbeciles or mentally deranged. Thank God they are mentally sound. Thank God that they are normal. One might be crying that she has not given birth to a child; well it may please her to know that God has made her a woman and at His appointed time, He will remember her. Let us take a look in the Bible, Sarah waited for 25 years for the promise of Isaac but one day God remembered her and Isaac was born. Hannah was tormented by her mate Peninnah for not giving birth. One day God remembered Hannah and Samuel was born and through him, Israel's destiny was changed and David who gave birth to the linage of Jesus came to the limelight. Elizabeth and Zachariah were waiting for a son. God gave them a son who became the forerunner of Jesus.

Can you see that all these children were special children? Are you complaining that your vehicle is spoilt, thank God you have one, many are trekking, at least when the sun is shining you might feel hot but not as much as the person who is trekking, so also when it rains or when the weather is cold. If you feel you don't have a vehicle rejoice for you can walk around and you can take a taxi, bike or bus. There are some people that are lame and some people's legs are hanging in the orthopaedic hospital.

Are you feeling you're doing a meagre job? And you're not satisfied with the job? Rejoice because you have one, some husbands are not doing anything and this brings a lot of squabble between them and their wives, also some wives are not working. Rejoice that you have someone you are exchanging words with, ask a widow or widower how lonely he or she feels and you will have every cause to say thank you. Maybe you feel that you are working but have nothing to show for it, still thank God you have the ability to do something. Thank God you can provide food and eat; some have food but don't have appetite. Do you know that you have appetite to eat? For all these, say a very big thank you to God for being so good to you. Begin immediately to say a very big thank you.

Each day is a miracle. It is possible that one wakes up as usual to make use of the toilet and to one's greatest surprise, can't use the toilet anymore because a sickness just developed. It is possible one wakes up and finds it hard to open the eyes again. It is a privilege to wake up with all the organs working. As we discover the importance of thanksgiving, we will realize that no one is exempted from trials, but one has to discipline oneself not to stay focused on the negative. One's mind naturally wants to go to the negative, but it is a conscious effort that one needs to make to stay positive. I was talking to a young lady not long ago who was down and discouraged. She'd gone through a troubling relationship. She said, "Mum, nothing's going right in my life." She explained how the last two years, she's been so depressed. And I told her what I'm telling you today. You've got to change your focus. I said, "Look at you. You're beautiful. You've got a great personality. You've got a family that loves you. You're healthy, and yet, you're allowing this one circumstance, this one person to steal your joy week after week, month after month." The fact is that there are some things in life one cannot change. One can't change people. One can't make them do what's right. So, if one constantly tries to get people to act the way he or she wants them to, the person will likely get frustrated.

*Prayer:* My dear Heavenly Father, please help me to always have a heart full of thankfulness every day, but especially this specific month set aside to be grateful for You in Jesus Name, Amen.

Welcome, to this brand new month of discovering the importance of thanksgiving. This year has really been glorious and awesome. We have individually and as a ministry received great mercies and loving kindness from our mighty God. Before our eyes, God made impossible situations and circumstances possible. He lifted us on every side. He proved Himself strong and mighty on our behalf. This is the time to make out quality time and use our God given resources to give Him heartfelt appreciation, thanksgiving and bless Him for His goodness and loving kindness towards us.

This month is the month of discovering the importance of thanksgiving, we shall on daily basis count our blessings and name them one by one and make conscious effort to thank our ever faithful Father for all His mercies. This is not a period of complaining or asking God for anything. This year unlike the previous years, get ready and determine to give God quality thanksgiving this end of year.

*Prayer:* Lord I am grateful. I will never be ungrateful to You my Father. Thank you for your goodness and mercies. You have been so faithful. May every glory and honour be ascribed unto you in Jesus name, Amen.

God does not owe man thanks rather it is man that owes Him thanks and praise. A grateful heart is a thankful heart. In this month of thanksgiving, make it a point of duty to be thankful to God always, because it is an obligation you owe God for your blessings to be preserved and multiplied (Acts 2: 47, Malachi 2: 1-3)

The ever sufficient and sustaining Grace of God Almighty will be available for you today and always, everywhere the soles of your feet shall tread upon will produce blessings and victories by the special Grace of God, the mighty hands of God are upon your life to uphold and protect you from all evil, the spirit of favour, will come upon you and you shall walk in victory and dominion.🙏

Whoever is occupying your seat of breakthrough, closing your doors off favor, scattering your seeds of progress, pointing accusing finger at you, fabricating lies against you, plotting your downfall, shooting negative arrow nd bullets at you, today the power of God will reverse all their evil plans and send their wishes back to them.🙏

As the Lord Almighty lives, sorrow will not visit you and all yours, every day of this year shall be filled with testimonies of God's goodness in Jesus mighty name. Amen.🙏🙏🙏. Happy New Month

*FRIDAY OCTOBER 27*

*PROVE GOD!*

*Daily Reading: 1 Sam 17: 34-39*
"And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these, for I have not proved them And David put them off him." Vs. 39

We have been discussing the fact that when one know God, He passes through challenges without being spiritually and physically shattered and battered. Isaiah 41:10 states- 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Passing through a trial and seeing how God delivered you will make you depend on Him for subsequent trials knowing that He who did it before can do it again. Developing such experience and assurance makes one to prove God faithful. In our reading today, when David wanted to stand agains Goliath, not having armour because he wasn't recruited to the army yet, king Saul clothed him with his whole armour to protec him. David arose to move but discovered he could not use them because he had not proved them but have proved God. Glory to Jesus Christ! Through various trials and deliverances, he proved the faithfulness of God, therefore went against the Philistine giant with the name of the Lord whom he has proved.

Beloved, who or what have you proved? Is it money, friends charm or any of such? Once it's not God that you have proved beware and never depend on such because, apart from God, every other ground is sinking sand. Louisa Stead visited the Sunny Beach with her husband and their four-year old child. While relaxing and enjoying their picnic, heard cries of help and spotted a drowning boy. The husband in sympathy rushed into the Sea to help but got drowned with the boy in front of his wife and child. It was really not easy with the wife but she took solace in God whom she has proved. She then sang this hymn-

"Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His word;
Just to lean upon His promise,
Just to know, 'Thus saith the Lord'

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more.

Beloved, what overwhelming situation are you passing through? Are you being forced to throw in the towel, soiling your hands in unrighteousness? Don't desecrate your sanctified life. Hold unto the love of God and you shall prove Him over and over again.

*Prayer:* Faithful Father, I hold on to Your unwavering love and care in the name of Jesus, Amen.

*Today* you may be at a point in your life where friends, family and even foes have given up on you, but who is He that said it and it comes to pass when the Lord God has not commanded it for when there is a casting down, to you, it will be a lifting up, even when life has beäten life out of you, just keep holding on because the dry bone shall live again, the Lord will give you beauty for your ashes, double restoration for all your loss and you shall be celebrated in Jesus name!
