Yesterday marked a truly historic and spirit-filled moment in the body of Christ in Anambra State, as the Awka South Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) officially inaugurated its new set of executives. It wasn’t just an inauguration—it was a convergence of honor, legacy, kingdom advancement, and divine celebration.
From every corner of the state, the family of faith gathered in strength—fathers and mothers in the faith, government dignitaries, stakeholders in ministry, and passionate believers—all stood in unity to witness this remarkable transition.
A standing ovation was given to the past executives whose tireless labor laid a solid foundation for the chapter’s rising glory. Among them were:
Iykes Afoenyi, the immediate past Chairman
. Aify Afoenyi, immediate past Chairperson
. Godwin Chukwubuikem, immediate past Deputy Chairman
. Emeka Obiora, immediate past Secretary
the former Financial Director, now entrusted with the mantle of leadership as the New Chairman
These men and women were not just celebrated—they were honored as true vessels of kingdom excellence.
The event drew a powerful lineup of notable dignitaries and spiritual authorities, including:
Moses & Rev. Mrs. Ruthblessing Ezedebego
. Jerry Onugha, State Secretary
of Reps Member, Hon. Oby Lilian Orugbo
Executive Governor, ably represented by Hon. Christian Udechukwu, Commissioner for Industry
. Foster Ihejiofor, Commissioner for Agriculture
And a long list of esteemed Bishops and Pastors such as:
Dr. Matthew Akhigbe & Wife

Ikenna Afoenyi & Rev. Aify Afoenyi
. Tochukwu Ubaezonu
. Bethel Okoye, Rev. I.G Nwali, Pst. David Akanwa, Rev. Blessing Nwaokolo

Prominent leaders like Archbishop Don Kene Ifepe, Barr. Okechukwu Anakweze, and Archbishop Kenn Ezeh
It was a gathering of generational voices—a prophetic blend of governmental and spiritual alignment—proof that when the Church rises in order, the nation takes notice.
As the new executives take on this sacred responsibility, they do so standing on the shoulders of giants and empowered by the Spirit of God to go further, shine brighter, and bring greater unity to the body of Christ in Awka South and beyond.
We declare that the glory of the latter shall be greater than the former, and that PFN Awka South shall continue to blaze trails, raise leaders, and influence culture for Christ.
To God be the glory!
